Job Description
Job Title: Primary Futures Project Manager (Maternity Cover)
Reports to: Head of School Programmes
Location: The role is open to hybrid or fully remote working but the candidate would be expected to be able to occasionally travel to schools within the funded project areas (including Westminster, Chester and Lancashire) and attend occasional meetings at the charity’s offices located at Quantum House, 22 – 24 Red Lion Court, Fleet Street, EC4A 3AB.
Purpose: Are you an experienced project manager with knowledge of the primary education sector who can confidently lead an exciting funded project for 12 months, helping children broaden their horizons and discover their futures? This is a fantastic opportunity to take on the role of Primary Futures Project Manager for Education and Employers charity supporting the delivery of our internationally recognised career-related learning programme in primary schools. The programme is called Inspiring the Future and is known as Primary Futures in primary schools.
Through our programmes, our charity brings inspiring volunteers from the world of work into schools, helping children learn in a fun way about a wide range of future jobs and career pathways, broadening their horizons and raising their aspirations and attainment. School activity sits at the heart of our charity’s mission which is to: ‘ensure that every young person in our country, wherever they live, whatever their parents or carers’ circumstances, has the opportunity to meet a diverse range of volunteers to hear first-hand about jobs and the world of work’.
This important role will manage and lead the day-to-day delivery of a key primary school focused project for the charity, funded by the Westminster Foundation. Responsibilities include leading the delivery and coordination of a multi-year funded project, managing stakeholder and funder relationships, overseeing programme activity across schools and partners, monitoring performance against targets and budgets, reporting on impact and outcomes, and providing line management and support to a remote team member to ensure successful project delivery.
Remuneration: £36k per annum FTE.
Additional Terms: We offer an excellent overall package with 30 days paid holiday, exclusive of Statutory Bank Holidays, plus a competitive pension scheme and a volunteering allowance of up to 5 days per annum – pro rata in accordance with the length of contract. Appointment Terms: This is a fixed-term, maternity cover role until at least end of November 2027. This role is advertised as part-time (0.6-0.8 FTE) - responsibilities will be adjusted proportionally for part-time candidates.
Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Head of Schools Programmes, the Primary Futures Project Manager (Maternity Cover) will lead the delivery of a major funded project that helps children broaden their horizons, challenge stereotypes and discover the wide range of opportunities available to them in the future. Through Education and Employers' Primary Futures programme, the role will support schools to connect children with inspiring volunteers from the world of work, helping to raise aspirations and develop career-related learning across primary education.
The successful candidate will take day-to-day responsibility for the delivery of this multi-year project. ensuring activity is delivered on time, within budget and in line with agreed objectives and funding requirements. Working closely with schools, employers, volunteers and the funder, they will lead project delivery across a range of workstreams including school engagement, teacher training, volunteer mobilisation, communications, evaluation and reporting.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced project manager with knowledge of the primary education sector to play a leading role in a nationally recognised charity. The postholder will combine project leadership, stakeholder management and school engagement to ensure high-quality delivery and lasting impact for participating schools, teachers and children, while supporting the long-term success of the programme.

What we are looking for in a candidate:
We are seeking a driven, highly capable, and enthusiastic Project Manager who can confidently manage a funder relationship, work efficiently to ensure project delivery remains on track and deliver engaging presentations to employers, children, and teachers. Key Accountabilities:
Project Management
- Lead the day-to-day management and coordination of a five-year funded project, ensuring delivery is aligned with agreed objectives, targets, timescales, budgets and funder requirements.
- Maintain and oversee detailed project plans, delivery schedules and internal tracking systems to ensure all workstreams are effectively coordinated and milestones are achieved.
- Coordinate activity across multiple project workstreams, including primary school engagement, programme delivery, teacher training, primary-aged resource development, volunteer and employer mobilisation, evaluation, communications and reporting.
- Monitor progress against project KPIs and delivery targets and taking appropriate action to maintain successful delivery.
- Contribute to the longer-term development and sustainability of the project, ensuring learning from delivery is captured and used to inform future years of the programme.
- Manage relationships with the funder and other key project stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, appropriate involvement and timely sharing of progress and learning.
Delivery
- Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the project's programme of activity, ensuring participating primary schools receive a high-quality and consistent experience.
- Lead the development of high-quality primary-aged resources for teachers, pupils and parents/carers, overseeing the scoping, creation, and refinement of materials to support project delivery and enable schools to sustain career-related learning beyond the funded programme.
- Lead engagement and delivery with a designated group of participating primary schools, developing strong relationships with teachers and school leaders and tailoring support to their needs.
- Maintain a clear understanding of the needs and context of participating primary schools and geographical areas, using this insight to inform project planning and delivery.
- Ensure teacher training and support builds schools' capacity and confidence to embed career-related learning and independently use Primary Futures beyond the funded intervention.
- Oversee volunteer and employer mobilisation required to meet project delivery needs, working collaboratively with colleagues, employers and local stakeholders.
Reporting
- Lead on the collection of project data and feedback to monitor progress, demonstrate impact and inform ongoing improvements to delivery.
- Oversee the implementation of appropriate reporting mechanisms, including Salesforce and SurveyMonkey, to ensure accurate and timely recording of project activity and outcomes.
- Ensure project data and evidence are accurate, timely and sufficient to demonstrate progress against agreed KPIs and funding requirements.
- Produce high-quality progress updates, reports and other project documentation for senior leadership and funders.
Line Management
- Provide effective line management, direction and support to a remote team member, including performance management, professional development and regular review of progress.
- Plan and allocate workloads, balancing competing priorities and ensuring resources are effectively deployed to meet project and organisational targets.
- Provide oversight and direct leadership of key project activities, including employer encounters, virtual events, teacher training and primary school-based delivery.
- Work collaboratively across Education and Employers to ensure communications, research, evaluation and employer engagement support project delivery.

- Experience of successful relationship management, with the ability to engage confidently and sensitively with funders, schools and education professionals at a range of levels of seniority.

As the Service Manager, you will have a strong knowledge of the mental health landscape and a strong track record of effective management. The Job
Reporting to the Senior Fundraising Manager, this role sits within the Communications, Engagement and Fundraising team. OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Royal Ballet School is a global centre for performance excellence. SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
As an integral member of the Development Team, the Development Manager will support the growth of our trust and foundation partnerships to fund a number of our core annual programme areas (Student Bursaries, Healthcare, Facilities etc) as well as new projects. The Manager will also lead on research and funding applications to trusts and foundations, while also delivering quality impact reporting across the School’s work.

Duration: Fixed-term maternity cover (approximately 12 months) from October 2026

MAIN DUTIES
SUPPORTING EXISTING DONOR RELATIONSHIPS
- Maximise income from existing trust and foundation funders by building and maintaining strong relationships, ensuring agreed donor retention and income targets are achieved across designated projects and programme areas
- Steward trust, foundation and corporate funders already or capable of contributing over £100,000 per year by producing high-quality, timely and compelling reports, funding proposals and thank-you communications
- Collaborate with the Development Team to deliver effective donor stewardship through events, communications and year-round engagement activities that strengthen relationships with funders and other key stakeholders.
DEVELOPING NEW DONOR RELATIONSHIPS
- Support members of the Development Team and Centenary working committee, to identify, engage and deliver excellent income and impact for the School
- Work with the Head of Development to research, write and present attractive and compelling fundraising applications and proposals to trusts and companies for core programmes
- Engage key prospect targets through effective and appropriate verbal and written communication. This may range from sharing curated content and short case-studies to producing in-depth project proposals that include detailed financial data and research findings.
- Lead on the creation of Impact data, end of year reporting for core programme outputs and outcomes (showcasing Healthcare, Academic and Artistic performance and more), while ensuring links back to the case for support and the School’s strategic objectives as originally stated.
WORKING ACROSS INTERNAL DEPARTMENTS AND TEAMS
- Contribute to forecasting and regular reporting, internal planning and budget setting and producing verbal and written reports for senior management as required
- Liaise with relevant departments across the School to gather information for applications and reporting
- Produce and submit quality funding reports to meet deadlines, liaising with relevant teams to ensure funder requirements are met and the evidence base for funding is strengthened. Keep accurate and timely records of approaches, grant opportunities and funds received on our CRM.
- Play an active role within the fundraising team and contribute to the development and creation of strategies and campaigns to increase fundraising through all channels
- To maintain up-to-date knowledge of fundraising regulations, networks, and developments across the sector, advising on best practice in relation to Trusts fundraising.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential Criteria:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience
- Proven experience securing and managing multi-year grants from trusts and foundations, including raising at least £50,000 annually from grant funders
- Demonstrable success in building and maintaining long-term relationships with trusts, foundations, funders and donors
- Experience researching prospective funders and developing compelling funding applications, reports, updates and other fundraising communications
- Proficient in using fundraising databases, such as Salesforce, to maintain accurate records and support donor management
- Ability to analyse and communicate complex information, data and organisational impact in a clear, persuasive and engaging way

Leading our busy frontline Support Team, you will ensure people receive compassionate, timely and high-quality support when they need it most.
You will lead the delivery and quality of our grant-giving service, ensuring applications are assessed fairly, consistently and confidently against Cavell’s criteria. But our support goes beyond a grant. You will help ensure we understand each person’s wider needs and connect them with the information, advice, practical support and specialist services that can make a lasting difference.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys both leading people and delivering services. You will work alongside the team to assess applications, coach and develop colleagues, manage demand and performance, and maintain high standards of decision-making. Using data, insight and frontline experience, you will also identify emerging needs and continually improve how Cavell supports the nursing and midwifery community.

Overview of Responsibilities:
1. Operational Service Delivery
- Lead the day-to-day operation and quality of Cavell's grant-giving and support service, approving grant recommendations within delegated authority and ensuring applications are assessed fairly, accurately and consistently against Cavell's eligibility criteria, policies and available funds. Escalate exceptional, complex or higher-risk decisions appropriately.

3. Data, Insight, Evaluation and Reporting.
- Collect, analyse, and present performance and outcome data in reports, dashboards, and evaluations to demonstrate the difference Cavell’s support makes to the nursing professionals we support.
- Lead continuous improvement of operational processes, workflows and systems, using data, applicant feedback and frontline learning to make support simpler, faster, more consistent and more compassionate. You will work with relevant colleagues and suppliers where required.
- Identify and report emerging needs, trends, operational pressures and risks from service data and frontline experience, providing insight to support service development, organisational planning, research and advocacy.
- Support the development of case studies, impact stories and measurable outcomes that demonstrate impact and support funder reporting and priorities.

This role is based at the National Greyhound Centre, Horley, Surrey, RH6 9SX, with a minimum of three days in the office and the option to work two days from home.

Each year, thousands of greyhounds across the UK rely on the generosity of supporters of the Greyhound Trust to find safe, loving homes. With an annual income of around £4.5 million, individual giving and gifts in Wills is central to our income generation strategy and this role lead its growth and development.
This role is perfect for an experienced fundraiser ready to own the individual giving and gift in Wills strategy end to end. You will set the direction for donor communications, appeals and the legacy pipeline, taking responsibility for income from individual donors and KPIs while working closely with the Head of Income Generation and Engagement to contribute to the overall income generation and engagement strategy.
You will take the lead in developing, testing, learning and growing the direct marketing programme and developing supporter journeys both online and offline. You’ll develop our email marketing and online supporter journeys for now and the future.
This is a broad, varied role, for a senior fundraiser. Whether your background is strongest in individual giving, community fundraising, legacies, digital or data, if you are a confident communicator with proven experience of owning fundraising strategy, income and supplier relationships ready to take your next step in animal welfare, this is the role for you.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the development of the individual giving and legacies strategy and annual planning, budgeting and KPIs, reporting performance to the Head of Income Generation.
- Set the direction for a sustainable individual giving programme, growing the supporter base across all channels and developing strategies to engage and motivate supporters.
- Own the planning and delivery of engaging, multi-channel fundraising campaigns and appeals.
- Provide advice and support to branches for one-off lottery or other individual giving initiatives; ensuring compliance with our gambling commission licence nationally and through branches.
- Lead the ongoing development of the charity’s programme of appeals, regular giving and sponsorship products, lottery and donor development programmes.
- Maximise digital fundraising opportunities whilst recognising the contribution of non-digital approaches for certain audiences and product types.
- Own email marketing and online supporter journeys.
- Lead the legacy giving and in-memory fundraising strategy.
- Own monthly analysis of income and expenditure against KPIs, reporting on progress and forecasting future results.
- Design and implement a stewardship programme with particular attention to supporter journeys for new and existing supporters that increase average values and long-term support.
- Own compliance of the individual giving programme, identifying and managing risk and escalating to the Head of Income Generation and Engagement where necessary.
- Ensure data collection, management, use, storage and destruction comply with data protection law and best practice.
- Work closely with other members of staff and senior managment to ensure individual giving products and initiatives are integrated with other areas of the charity, such as brand and marketing programmes, retail development and homing campaigns.
- Own direct relationships with external suppliers, agencies and freelancers, setting briefs, managing budgets and holding them to account.
- Act as the organisation’s senior specialist on individual giving and legacies, advising and influencing colleagues, volunteers and homing centres on how their roles can support fundraising opportunities, without formal line authority.
Essential skills and experience:
- Experience of working in a senior individual giving, direct marketing, community, or general fundraising role.
- Demonstrable track record of delivering sustained income growth and establishing new programmes of activity.
- Experience owning a budget and KPI set, forecasting, reporting to senior management and adjusting plans in response to performance.
- Proven ability to get the best out of external suppliers and agencies (copywriters, designers, mailing houses, platform developers, etc.) to maximise outcomes, setting budgets and holding suppliers to account for results.
- Demonstrable experience of donor development, journeys and stewardship at a strategic level.
- Proficient written and verbal communicator with the ability to adapt tone to engage and inspire different audiences and write compelling fundraising copy.
- Excellenet relationship and influencing skills with the ability to gain buy in and shape the approach of colleagues without formal authority over them.
- Excellent stewardship skills with the ability to communicate with supporters via letter, email, telephone and face to face with care and compassion.
- Able to plan and prioritise independently across several income streams.
- Track record of writing clear, engaging supporter communications (appeals, newsletters, thank you journeys).
- Confident using data to select, segment, or report on supporter groups.
- Experience managing ongoing relationships with individuals (donors, supporters or clients).
- Experience of legacy marketing.
- Proficiency in using a CRM to manage donor relationships and supporter journeys.
- Strong working knowledge of charity law, GDPR and the Fundraising Code of Practice with experience of ensuring organisational compliance.
- A collaborative approach and willingness to develop new areas of fundraising.
Desirable experience and qualifications:
- Relevant fundraising or marketing qualification (e.g. Institute of Fundraising / CIOF certificate, CIM), or evidence of ongoing professional development.
- Experience of legacy marketing, legacy administration, or legacy pipeline management.
- Experience of writing or approving legacy-specific communications (in-memory, will-writing campaigns, pledger updates).
- Experience designing and evaluating acquisition or retention campaigns and activity across a variety of offline and digital channels.
- Experience of building or improving email marketing programmes or automated supporter journeys.
- Experience of working with fundraising databases (e.g. Raiser's Edge, Donorfy, Beacon) and GDPR-compliant data handling.
- Experience of liaising with solicitors, executors, or handling sensitive/bereavement-related conversations.
- Experience of managing a pipeline or CRM-tracked process from enquiry through to completion.
- Have empathy and enthusiasm for the mission of the Greyhound Trust.
