This role offers the opportunity to support and develop social action and social justice work across the Diocese of London. Working as part of the Compassionate Communities team, the postholder will help churches and communities respond to local needs by connecting, equipping and resourcing them to grow their impact.

Job Summary

The Social Action Lead supports the development of social action and social justice work across the Diocese of London. Job responsibilities

Join SmellTaste and lead the development of the charity’s involvement in research, shaping how lived experience of those affected by smell and taste impairment is integrated in research projects. As Research Development and Engagement Manager, you will lead engagement with researchers, our patient community, and external partners to develop and support new research collaborations. 4.1 Content creation and storytelling

About the role

As a CYP Team Leader you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed and child-centred services. This includes supporting staff to manage complex cases, maintain high safeguarding standards, and ensuring that service delivery meets contractual requirements and organisational expectations. About the role

As a CYP Caseworker you will:

• Deliver excellent services to Children and Young People who have been victims of crime through the direct provision of information, practical and emotional help from the point of crime and where appropriate, onwards throughout the criminal justice process.
• Help Children & Young People cope and recover from the effects of crime.
• Act as a single point of contact, undertaking effective need and risk assessments.
• Coordinate the overall delivery of the cope and recovery plan and recovery journey, working closely with other service providers to meet the needs of victims.

You will need:

• Previous experience delivering a service and working directly with service users in a statutory, voluntary or community work setting.
• Previous experience of working with vulnerable CYP.

What we’re looking for: 

• We are looking for someone with a strong level of experience in managing the financial operations of a small organisation, ensuring that systems and processes are both robust and efficient. This includes experience of financial forecasting, reconciliations and, where appropriate, introducing or improving financial systems. 

• The postholder must be able to communicate financial information clearly to a range of stakeholders with differing levels of financial understanding, both verbally and through written reports or presentations relating to the organisation’s finances and funded projects.

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a strong Administrator to provide high quality administrative and operational support to the Governance and Compliance Team.

Your role focuses on meeting coordination, record-keeping, and day-to-day governance administration, ensuring that Local Governing Bodies (LGBs) and governance professionals are well supported and compliant with Trust policies and statutory requirements. You will also provide administration support to the Federation’s risk and internal audit functions.

You will play an essential part in ensuring efficient governance and compliance operations, accurate documentation and timely communication, contributing to the smooth functioning of governance and compliance at academy and Trust level.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

As a Administrator to the Governance and Compliance Team, you will play a key role in supporting effective governance across our academies by providing high-quality administrative and operational support to the Governance Team.

You will support Local Governing Bodies through meeting coordination, clerking, and accurate record-keeping, helping to ensure governance processes are compliant, well-organised, and run smoothly at both academy and Trust level. The role requires a willingness to work some evenings to support governance meetings and the ability to travel across the Trust as needed.

Governance Records & Compliance Administration

• Maintain accurate governance records including:
• registers of interest
• governor attendance records
• training logs
• membership lists and terms of office
• Support onboarding and offboarding processes for governors, including DBS checks, induction materials, and profile updates.
• Ensure relevant governance documents, policies, and registers are updated and stored in line with Trust protocols.
• Assist with preparing documentation and evidence for governance audits and internal audit assurance checks.

Complaints & Panel Administration

• Support administration of complaints processes at academy level, including logging, tracking, and maintaining secure records.
• Coordinate panel dates, paperwork, documentation packs, and correspondence to complainants.
• Take minutes at hearings where required, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and procedural compliance.
• Support the Governance Manager by maintaining databases, generating reports, and ensuring actions are documented.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Qualifications to Level 3 or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to undertake governance-related training, with NGA or clerking qualifications desirable
• Experience in administration, clerical, or coordination roles.

• Confident communication skills, both written and spoken

Citizens Advice Milton Keynes is a local charity that helps people to resolve their legal, money and personal problems. The organisation has been providing free, confidential, and impartial advice since 1972 and helps approximately 10,000 local people every year.

Since the pandemic, many of the local and national services that our clients need have been, or are being, moved online. This can disadvantage people who do not have the necessary knowledge, skills, or technology to access and use online services.

Working within our training, skills, and employability division – Works for Us, our Digital Skills Officer (DSO) will help people to access and use online services and support them to develop the skills and confidence they need to use digital technology effectively and safely. They’ll also need to be confident and able to provide coaching and training support to small groups of service users on a sessional basis.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed, and confident person to join our small, team of staff.
