Who we are
Every year, thousands of people in the UK face court alone. Often through no choice of their own, people must represent themselves at a moment that could have life-changing outcomes. This includes loss of access to children or homelessness. At the same time, people facing court alone may find themselves up against a party with legal representation. They are instantly at a disadvantage and overwhelmed by the enormity of the challenges they are up against. We supported unrepresented litigants in the civil and family courts in England and Wales over 45,000 times last year.
We provide a safe space with volunteers who listen to each client’s individual story. Last year, over 1000 volunteers helped people to get their thoughts in order, problem-solve and decide next steps, source relevant and reliable legal information, explain complex procedures, complete court forms, and clearly present statements.
At a time when legal support is increasingly limited, we have a vision that no one should have to face court alone.
The role
Support Through Court is establishing a legal advice clinic for money claim matters under £10,000, for a one-year pilot. Advice will be given to clients across the national service network who have been internally triaged to the clinic.
The role involves day-to day management of the clinic and supervising law students as they facilitate client appointments, conduct research and draft letters of advice. Clients will predominantly be supported remotely with occasional in-person appointments and advice “drop-ins” in the local area. You will train and supervise students to help them gain practical legal skills in a clinic setting, having final sign-off of completed letters of advice/oral advice to ensure clients receive an excellent service.
You will embed the legal advice offering of the clinic into the organisation, increasing and developing referrals from our national service network and supporting staff understanding of referral ability.
Who we are looking for
Ambitious, professional, committed and friendly. That describes us. If it also describes you and you have a passion for access to justice, then we’re keen to hear from you.
You will be a qualified solicitor with at least 3 years PQE (ideally 5+) with an active practicing certificate. You will have experience managing students and/or volunteers and a commitment to supporting Litigants in Person.
We are open to applicants wishing to take the role either on a full-time basis, or on a part-time basis as a job share. Please make it clear in your application whether you are applying for a full-time or part-time role.
Interviews will be taking place on a rolling basis as applications are received.
The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.

Greenpeace is a movement of people who are passionate about defending the natural world from destruction. Their vision is a world where everyone has equal access to clean air, water, and energy; where the nature we love is protected, precious habitats are restored and communities are united by ambitious climate action.
Greenpeace UK’s mission is to halve emissions and restore biodiversity by the end of this decade in a fair and equitable way. Their three-year plan outlines how Greenpeace UK (GPUK) is going to play a vital role in getting there.
Their recently established Events & Operations hub brings together donor-facing events and the operational systems and processes that underpin high-value fundraising, creating a cohesive function that supports outstanding supporter experiences and sustainable income growth.
We are looking for an organised and proactive Events & Operations Officer to play a key role within this function and deliver the experiences, systems and insight that support Greenpeace UK’s Major Donor, Trusts & Foundations and Legacy fundraising programmes.
This is far from a typical events role. Working closely with the Events & Operations Manager, you will lead on many of the team’s cultivation and stewardship events, creating opportunities for supporters to connect directly with Greenpeace’s mission and impact. You could be coordinating major donor networking events, organising behind-the-scenes briefings with campaigners, delivering legacy stewardship events, supporting unique supporter experiences, or helping to bring prospects together through creative events and workshops.
Alongside event delivery, you will play an equally important role in the operational side of the team. From CRM reporting and data management to process improvement and cross-organisational projects, you will help create the systems and infrastructure that enable fundraisers to spend more time building relationships and securing income.
This role will suit someone who enjoys variety, loves making complex projects run smoothly, and takes genuine satisfaction from both delivering exceptional experiences and improving the processes behind them. It is an opportunity to work closely with an experienced manager, take ownership of significant areas of work, and help shape a function that continues to evolve.
Please note that we are specifically seeking candidates with experience of high-value fundraising events, including donor cultivation and stewardship events. This role is not suitable for candidates whose experience is primarily in challenge events, community fundraising events or other mass participation fundraising programmes.

For 50 years, SportsAid has been backing the next generation of athletes.
But we're only just getting started.
As we launch our new organisational strategy and celebrate our 50th anniversary, we're entering an exciting new chapter—one that will see us grow our impact, strengthen lifelong relationships with athletes and supporters, and build one of the UK's most engaged sporting communities.
We're looking for an ambitious and experienced fundraising leader to help make that happen.
Our Vision
From potential to personal best – whatever your story.
We want a future where talented athletes can pursue their ambitions, whatever their background, circumstances or income.
A future where talent is not lost because life gets in the way, and where support comes early, consistently and without conditions.
Our Mission
SportsAid exists to champion and support the next generation of athletes to fulfil their potential in sport and in life.
We invest early. We back ambition. We bring together partners, supporters and alumni to provide financial help, trusted guidance and belief—particularly at the moments when staying in sport becomes hardest.
For five decades, we have stood alongside athletes when success was uncertain and outcomes were unknown. Today, our ambition goes further.
We believe talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. That's why we're strengthening support for athletes and families, amplifying athlete voices, building lifelong communities of athletes and alumni, and working with partners to create a sporting system where potential—not background—shapes opportunity.
The Opportunity
This is far more than a community fundraising role.
You'll lead the development of SportsAid's Community Fundraising & Engagement programme at a pivotal moment in our history, helping shape the future of one of the UK's most respected sports charities.
Working closely with the Head of Fundraising and Communications and as part of an ambitious leadership team, you'll develop and deliver a bold community fundraising strategy, grow sustainable unrestricted income and create outstanding supporter experiences that inspire people to back the next generation.
You'll also provide strategic leadership for our growing alumni engagement programme, ensuring former SportsAid athletes remain connected through mentoring, advocacy, storytelling, volunteering and fundraising.
Whether it's launching new fundraising products, growing challenge events, building partnerships with schools, clubs and communities, or developing innovative supporter journeys, you'll have the freedom to build something with lasting impact.
About You
You're someone who enjoys creating as much as delivering.
You combine strategic thinking with a practical, hands-on approach and know that exceptional fundraising is built on exceptional relationships.
You may currently be leading community fundraising, supporter engagement or individual giving within a charity and be looking for the opportunity to shape a programme with genuine national potential.
You'll bring:
· Significant experience developing successful community fundraising or supporter engagement programmes.
· A track record of growing sustainable income and building long-term supporter relationships.
· Experience leading people, developing strategy and delivering results.
· Strong commercial awareness and an entrepreneurial mindset.
· Excellent relationship-building, influencing and communication skills.
· A passion for creating outstanding supporter experiences.
Most importantly, you'll be excited by the opportunity to build, innovate and help shape the future of SportsAid.
Why Join SportsAid?
There has never been a more exciting time to join us.
As we celebrate our 50th anniversary, we're investing in ambitious plans to expand our fundraising, strengthen lifelong relationships with athletes and supporters, and increase our impact across the UK.
You'll join an ambitious, collaborative and values-led organisation with an engaged Board, a supportive leadership team and colleagues who genuinely care about our mission.
