As we scale up the role of fundraising at LSHTM, we are recruiting 3 senior specialists to work closely as part of the department’s leadership team in providing strategic and tactical direction of key areas of our work as our Heads of Development Operations, Trusts & Foundations, and a new area – Corporate Partnerships.

The Head of Trusts & Foundations is a 12 month maternity cover role, and we are seeking a specialist with a track record of securing 6-figure gifts or more, to provide strategic leadership of our established programme and guide a small team towards achieving their goals.  Working closely with the Director of Development & Alumni Relations and with their peers and the academic community, this will take a strong relationship-based and collegiate approach, balanced with a personal drive to achieve ambitious results.

The Senior Development Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of alumni, trusts, foundations and friends of the University capable of making gifts at the six and seven figure plus level. THE ROLE

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Senior Fundraising Officer to join our team on a fixed-term contract.

Working closely with the Director of Fundraising and the Senior Fundraising Lead, you will ensure our high-value corporate partnerships run smoothly, our high-net-worth events are a success and our external pitches are sharp and well-researched. 

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your hands-on experience across corporate, trusts and foundations and individual giving within a fast-growing charity backed by a globally recognised brand.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Research and opportunity generation

• Support the team by researching and keeping abreast of new funding opportunities across trusts, foundations, and corporate prospects.
• Compile background research to help the team evaluate and pursue new business leads.

Funding applications and pitch support

• Assist the Senior Fundraising Lead and Director of Fundraising with writing funding applications.
• Help structure and draft compelling pitch documents to support the team’s new business goals.
• Design and adapt templates for various fundraising documents and pitches.

Partnership coordination

• Take ownership of the day-to-day coordination of our corporate and institutional partnerships, ensuring exceptional donor care and seamless communication with external stakeholders (e.g., tracking partnership metrics, coordinating meetings, monthly data reporting and managing external communications).
• Deliver external logistics, such as school visits and workshops for corporate partners.
• Draft and prepare comprehensive reports for funders, while managing and responding to all ad hoc requests efficiently.

Fundraising operations support

• Be a key, dependable member of the team, supporting various fundraising work streams to ensure targets are met and team effectiveness is maximised.
• Draft supporter newsletters for our donor communications. 
• Coordinate in-person and online events (e.g., roundtables, fireside talks).

You will be organised, target driven and comfortable managing budgets, KPIs, pipelines and competing priorities. You will also understand the importance of ethical fundraising, good stewardship and relevant charity fundraising practice.

Experience of working with senior or high profile volunteers, such as patrons or trustees, would be valuable. A CIOF Diploma in Fundraising Management, CIOF membership or equivalent professional experience would be beneficial, but we welcome applications from candidates with strong transferable experience.

This role will support Lakeland Arts’ artistic, heritage, learning, and engagement programmes across our sites in the Lake District including Blackwell – the Arts & Crafts house, Abbot Hall art gallery, and Windermere Jetty Museum. You will collaborate with colleagues to develop strong, place-based cases for support aligned with the charity’s strategic priorities. Key Responsibilities Trusts, Foundations & Statutory Fundraising • Identify, research, and qualify funding opportunities from trusts, foundations, and statutory bodies – including Arts Council England - to support the conservation of our artistic, heritage, learning, and engagement activity. • Lead on writing and submitting high-quality funding applications, securing both unrestricted income and project-specific funding aligned with Lakeland Arts’ strategy. • Develop compelling proposals that clearly articulate the significance of our extensive collections, the benefit of public access to these and the value of our heritage, and community impact, using evaluation data, audience insight, and partnership testimonials. • Maintain ownership of a proactive and balanced funding pipeline, ensuring prospects are thoughtfully approached and progressed through the fundraising cycle. Stewardship, Reporting & Relationship Management • Steward a balanced portfolio of funders, building strong, long-term relationships through regular communication and engagement opportunities (including site visits where appropriate), while complying with funding agreements. • Maintain a clear calendar of applications, reports, renewals, and deadlines, ensuring all funder requirements are met to a high standard and on time. • Produce clear, engaging funder reports that demonstrate impact, successful financial management, and agreed outcomes. Internal Collaboration & Funding Priorities • Work collaboratively with colleagues across curatorial, participation & learning, conservation workshop, visitor experience, finance, and leadership teams to shape strong, well-informed funding bids. • Proactively gather information to ensure funding proposals reflect current and emerging organisational priorities. • Contribute to a positive, collaborative culture that values shared learning and cross-departmental working. Data, Systems & Performance Management • Use CRM systems to accurately record fundraising activity, funder communications, deadlines, and outcomes. • Track and analyse fundraising performance against income targets and KPIs, contributing to internal reporting, forecasting, and strategy reviews. • Ensure compliance with fundraising best practice, data protection, charity law, and internal policies and procedures. Representation & Wider Development Activity • Act as a confident and knowledgeable ambassador for Lakeland Arts, representing the charity at funder meetings, networking events, and sector committees. • Support wider development activity, including campaigns, events, and partnership work as required. • Provide administrative and project support to the Development team when needed. Safeguarding, Equity & Organisational Values • Embed safeguarding, health & safety, and duty of care into all aspects of work in line with Lakeland Arts’ policies. • Promote inclusive, welcoming, and accessible arts and heritage spaces for all audiences. • Actively promote Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging principles into dayto-day practice. General: • Ensure the highest level of donor care for sponsors and supporters. • Maintain a solid understanding of the external funding environment, keeping up to date with funding trends and developments in the sector. • Adhere to ethical and legal fundraising best practice keeping up to date with any changes in fundraising legislation. • Contribute to the overall success of the organisation by attracting new funders. The Role

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser to grow this vital area of income. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver our trusts and foundations strategy at a key point in our organisational development, helping to diversify income and support innovative, impactful programmes.

We’re looking for a Regional Corporate Partnership Development Manager to help us strengthen and grow corporate fundraising delivered through the British Heart Foundation’s (BHF) Community Fundraising team, supporting our vision of a world where everyone has a healthier heart for longer.

About the role

As a Regional Corporate Partnership Development Manager, you’ll be a key member of the Corporate Partnership team, playing an essential role in building the capability, confidence and consistency of Fundraising Managers across the UK.

This role is all about empowering others to secure and grow high value corporate partnerships. Drawing on your own experience of winning and managing £50k+ partnerships, you’ll coach Fundraising Managers through the full corporate sales cycle from pipeline development and proposition shaping, to pitching, negotiation, contracting and stewardship.

You’ll design and deliver training, embed best practice processes, and create practical toolkits that strengthen regional corporate fundraising. You’ll also support account management activity, helping Fundraising Managers deliver excellent stewardship, renewal strategies and long term growth for existing partners.

Working collaboratively across Community Fundraising, Corporate Partnerships and High Value Operations, you’ll help ensure our Community Fundraising Managers have the skills, tools and confidence to deliver exceptional corporate partnerships.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you bring strong experience of securing high value corporate partnerships and a strong understanding of what excellent corporate fundraising looks like. You’ve personally identified opportunities, shaped propositions, pitched to senior decision makers and successfully closed significant partnerships.

Just as importantly, you have a coaching mindset. You enjoy and have experience developing others, sharing your expertise and helping Fundraising Managers build their confidence and capability.

You bring:

• Proven experience winning high value corporate partnerships, with a strong track record of achieving financial targets while managing multiple priorities effectively.
• End to end sales cycle expertise, from identifying opportunities and shaping propositions to pitching, negotiating, contracting and onboarding partners, supported by strong organisational skills.
• Coaching and capability building skills with experience training, mentoring or upskilling colleagues to improve confidence and performance, ensuring teams stay structured and focused.

Working arrangements

This is 12 month fixed term contract.

This is a field-based role covering the UK. You'll need to live in England or be able to relocate to this region. This role requires regular travel within England, and occasional travel to other parts of the UK. A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.

Recently shortlisted for the Excellence in Stewardship Legacy Giving Award, the gifts in Wills team put our supporters at the heart of everything they do. This role is a varied one that collaborates with colleagues and supporters daily. That could be working with our innovation team to maximise marketing opportunities to our Inspire product members, ensuring our website content is a powerful call to action, or working with our supporter journey team to plan an exceptional welcome journey for new gifts in Wills enquirers. You will also be a key point of contact for our supporters, stewarding one-on-one via email, phone or in person, and also working on mass impact communications to retain their support. Since we rebranded to Arthritis UK in October 2025, we have seen a big rise in potential supporters, and you will play a key part in delivering a brilliant experience to them.

About you

• Experience of building excellent relationships with a wide range of customers or supporters, across different channels and face to face, anticipating their needs and creating a high-quality supporter experience.
