Experienced in dog rescue and leading a dedicated team? We are looking for an experienced Rescue Manager to join our kennel-free rescue.

Dogs 4 Rescue is the UK’s pioneering kennel-free rescue leading the rescue revolution. From humble beginnings to a multi-site operation we are leading change in our industry running a model which is far more complex than a traditional kennels.

We are looking to expand our team, so have created a new role. This is going to encompass looking after our team of dog-handlers to ensure that the whole operation works as efficiently and effectively as possible, and gives the dogs their very best lives.

Whilst this is primarily a people managing role, you will need to be comfortable around the dogs, and have experience working in dog rescue – kennel-free or kennels based.

As the role is new it can be adapted to the strengths of the successful applicant, and will evolve over time.

It is primarily a practical role, being out with the team and supervising / supporting them in their daily duties, but will also involve the inevitable paperwork that goes with management. You will be involved with logging what’s just happened, planning for what’s going to happen, and ensuring that all other stuff that needs to happen, happens…

Our visionary founder has a proven track record, changing the lives of nearly 3,000 dogs. She knows what works historically but needs another right-hand person who can help us become centres of excellenceoperationally.

There is no room for egos at our rescue – we are all about what is best for the dogs. One of our most important feedback mechanisms is ‘The Happiness Scale’ where every member of staff scores a dog’s happiness from their perspective. 

We need an objective, focused individual that will not let the emotional rollercoaster of rescue life affect the day-to-day. You will lift the team, bring energy and purpose. We need someone with resilience and the ability to be strong, driven people manager within the context of dog rescue.

Must drive and have own transport. May include some weekend work. 

We are seeking a detail-oriented finance professional with strong ledger and reconciliation experience to join our Finance and Legacy Administration team as Finance Officer. You’ll play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the charity whilst working alongside the Finance Officer (Payables) and reporting to the Head of Finance and Administration. You’ll be liaising with staff across the charity, those in Head Office, the four Farms and their Visitor Centres, Field officers and the International Team.

Key Responsibilties: 

• Processing of Farm, Visitor Centre and Shop income 

• Processing and reconciling of fundraised income

• Co-ordination and control of stock at Visitor Centres and Head Office

• Sales ledger 

• Processing of international expenses journals from the circa 16 international projects the Charity funds 

• Assist in the preparation of monthly Management Accounts including accruals and prepayments 

• Ensure that the Fixed Asset Register is kept updated and reconciled 

• Assist in the preparation of Quarterly VAT returns 

• Working proactively with the Head of Finance and Administration, Finance Officer (Payables) and other key internal staff to achieve the overall goals of the Charity 

About you:

We’re looking for someone with substantial experience using finance software packages, strong skills in sales and nominal ledger management, and a solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping. You’ll need excellent Excel and numeracy skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines. Ideally, you’ll be AAT qualified or part-qualified, with experience using Sage 200 or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, and familiarity with EPOS systems, charity VAT, and foreign currency transactions. A flexible, organised, and conscientious approach is essential, along with a genuine interest in the work and values of World Horse Welfare. 

Location:

The role is based in Norfolk and is currently a hybrid split of 2 days in our head office in Snetterton and 3 days at home. You may be required to attend events around the UK so the ability to travel occasionally is necessary.

The Campus Accommodation and Hospitality Manager will lead a team of reception and housekeeping staff to deliver and administer a full range of campus services. As well as providing an efficient and welcoming reception service, this includes the management of meeting rooms, accommodation booking, achieving and maintaining high standards of housekeeping, and overseeing contracted catering and refreshment services. This is a full-time role, with some evening and weekend work during weekend residentials and other events. The postholder will also participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota.

Key responsibilities

1. To manage the delivery of accommodation and hospitality operations.

About This Job

As Fundraising Assistant at sister charities, ACCT UK and CCFA, you will play a key role in the growth of existing fundraising and in the creation of new income streams. Stewarding fundraisers, helping to develop new and existing fundraising campaigns, building relationships internally within the cadet organisations and externally with Trusts and Foundations, corporates and major givers. Are you passionate about supporting vulnerable adults during critical moments in their care journey? As a Hospital Care Navigator, you’ll be a vital part of ensuring patients leave the hospital safely and confidently, with the right support in place.

In this rewarding role, you’ll be the single point of contact for adult patients preparing for discharge from the hospital. You’ll work closely with the Adult Social Care team, health professionals, hospital practitioners, and community services to:

• Identify needs and barriers to safe discharge
• Achieve safe and timely patient discharge
• Coordinate outpatient appointments and follow-up services
• Provide clear, compassionate advice and support to patients and their families
• Ensure patients understand their discharge plan every step of the way.

You’ll meet with patients, their families, friends, or carers to assess ongoing needs, ensuring a safe plan is in place for their return home. This could include ensuring that medication is arranged from the hospital pharmacy, someone is at home to greet them, food and heating are available, and the condition of the home is safe to return to. You may be required to liaise with Adult Social Care and other home providers to coordinate home support. You’ll follow up on calls or visits to ensure the patient is managing well at home. By providing the proper support, patients can be discharged sooner, and the risk of readmission is significantly reduced. 

We’re seeking someone who:

• Has experience working with vulnerable adults in social care, healthcare, or the community/voluntary sector
• Communicates with empathy and confidence across different teams at different levels, and with patients
• Is highly organised, with excellent time management skills
• Has awareness and respect for cultural differences
• (Bonus) Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting.

The role is based at our Southwark office, and you will be required to travel to hospitals and across the City of London, as well as to Tower Hamlets, Camden, Hackney, and Southwark.

We’re looking for a Supporter Recruitment Campaign Manager, who will attract new supporters to our work through innovative, creative campaigns.

What does this role do?
As Supporter Recruitment Campaign Manager, you’ll:

• Design and deliver supporter recruitment campaigns, through paper-based direct marketing, tv and telephone campaigns, collaborating with other teams and external stakeholders to attract new prospects to support our mission,
• Capture and monitor progress of campaigns, ensuring they remain relevant and engaging in order to maximise income,
• Analyse outcomes from campaigns, drawing key learnings to optimise future work,
• Manage relationships with internal teams and third-party agencies, who play a critical role in the delivery of campaigns.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need experience of supporter recruitment and building prospecting campaigns.
