About the role

Reporting to the Chief Executive and sitting on the executive leadership team, the Director of National Programmes will lead the strategy, design and evolution of our national portfolio, helping Ambitious about Autism strengthen its role as a catalyst for systems change. Working at the intersection of education, policy, evidence and lived experience, you will identify opportunities to improve outcomes for autistic children and young people, influencing practice far beyond our own organisation.

You will develop innovative and scalable programme models, creating partnerships that enable successful approaches to be tested, evidenced and adopted by others. Working closely with colleagues across fundraising, external affairs and education, you will help secure the investment, partnerships and evidence needed to influence lasting change.

In this exciting and varied role, within our growing Mass Engagement department we are seeking a strategic, driven, and compassionate Individual Giving Manager to join our dynamic fundraising team.

Skills & Experience:

Essential

• Demonstrable experience delivering successful Individual Giving campaigns, with strong knowledge of multi-channel direct marketing techniques
• A proven track record of income generation, supporter acquisition and retention, and delivering against financial targets and budgets
• Experience in managing and reporting on income and expenditure budgets, with proven experience meeting or exceeding income targets

Job role:

In this exciting and varied role, within our growing Mass Engagement department you will be part of the core team responsible for delivering the charities challenge events portfolio to maximise support and increase income.

You’ll manage a range of events from marathons and treks to bespoke fundraising challenges, ensuring participants feel valued, motivated, and connected to the cause.

You will be organised and a strong project manager, confident in solving problems, securing financial targets and take a creative and collaborative approach to deliver outstanding events.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver mass fundraising events, with end-to-end coordination of various in person and virtual events, ensuring supporters are at the heart of all activity, including budgeting, planning, supplier co-ordination, risk management and on the day delivery.
• Help to identify new event opportunities in collaboration with the Mass Participation Event Manager.
• Meet Income & KPI targets along with maintaining costs within agreed budgets.
• Build collaborative relationships with the wider Mass Engagement, Service Delivery & Marcomms Teams to ensure successful marketing, recruitment, and development of the stewardship journey for our supporters.

The role of a Therapeutic Community Caseworker at the Baobab Centre is to support unaccompanied asylum seeking and refugee adolescents and young adults to access care, basic rights and entitlements and to support their social development and rehabilitation.This role involves working closely with the clinical key worker of each young person and with our wider multidisciplinary team. As a Caseworker you will aim to empower individuals to build stable, independent lives in the UK, including by supporting them to communicate their views, needs and experiences in decision-making processes, and supporting them to make challenges when necessary. Baobab aims to be a non-residential therapeutic community with a holistic and integrated perspective.As a Caseworker, you will play a key role within our multidisciplinary team. Our team work together with each other and with agencies and key individuals in young people’s lives, both within and outside of Baobab. World Cancer Research Fund champions the latest and most authoritative scientific research from around the world on cancer prevention and survival through diet, weight and physical activity, so that we can empower people to make informed lifestyle choices to reduce their cancer risk.

We are seeking a management accountant to take responsibility for producing the UK monthly management accounts pack (from journals to financial statements), culminating in a presentation for the board of trustees. Additionally, to assist in the annual audit and work with the US based assistant controller on cash reporting, direct mail analysis and any ad hoc projects.

The successful candidate will have a professional accounting qualification (finalists accepted). Strong analytical skills and attention to detail is key, as is proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills. Candidates will need to have knowledge of financial regulations and reporting standards and an understanding of the Charity SORP. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively, as well as strong communication skills to present financial data clearly to stakeholders would be an advantage.

The role

As Head of Operations, you will lead delivery across the South West, working through a network of county teams and specialists. Your focus will be on strengthening our ability to deliver. Supporting team leaders to grow capacity, manage workload and deliver high quality work in increasingly complex projects. You will work alongside teams to remove barriers, improve systems and step into delivery where needed helping to ensure work progresses and opportunities are achieved. Working closely with the CEO and senior team, you will help translate strategy into delivery and ensure we remain effective, responsive and financially sustainable. You will also play a key role in how we respond to change across the sector, supporting teams to navigate new policy, funding and partnership opportunities.

About you

We are looking for an experienced leader who is motivated by enabling others to deliver. You don’t need to have experience in the environmental sector. We are open to candidates from a wide range of backgrounds who can bring strong leadership, a collaborative approach, professional skills and share our values.

o Salary £56,650 – £61,800, dependent on experience

o 37.5 hours per week, but applications from those looking for 4 days (30 hours) per week will also be considered

Hillside Clubhouse is a coproduced mental health charity based in Islington that works collaboratively with people with mental health conditions across Islington. We work with people wherever they are in their Recovery journey, supporting those with long-term and enduring conditions such as personality disorder and schizophrenia and people with more common mental health conditions like depression and anxiety.

You would also be expected to identify, explore, and develop new partnerships outside Involve Northwest’s traditional stakeholders with organisations in both the public and private sectors.
