We are seeking a Carers Information and Support Worker (Assessments) to coordinate and carry out assessments and reviews for carers, ensuring that carers’ needs are identified and recorded accurately. The postholder will provide information and support to carers and develop support plans for carers with a range of needs. The postholder will also liaise with voluntary and statutory sector services in health and social care.  

To succeed in this role, applicants must have:

· Knowledge and experience of providing information and support to vulnerable people.  

· Experience of completing assessments and support plans.  

· Understanding of the issues affecting carers.

This role is based at Park View Medical Clinic, Middlesbrough, however the postholder will be required to travel between our other site in Redcar & Cleveland and to other locations in the community including the homes of clients.

This senior leadership position is responsible for managing and overseeing OTR’s Voice Services which include our Advocacy and Independent Visiting (IV) Service, Participation Service, LGBTQ+ Service, and our CAMHS Link Work Service. You will directly line manage our Leads of these services and empower them to deliver and develop the work that they do.

You’ll work with the Service Leads to manage key commissioner and contract relationships to ensure we’re delivering in line with our contractual obligations. This role also plays an important part in shaping the future of each service; supporting re-contracting, bid writing, and applications to tender.

The post holder will be a key member of OTR’s Senior Management Team (SMT), working collaboratively with the Head of Wellbeing Services, Head of Resources, and the CEO to help shape and deliver the organisation’s strategy, drive innovation, and support long-term organisational growth.

Main Responsibilities 

Service delivery support 

• Operational oversight and responsibility for OTR’s Voice service, working with the Service Leads to ensure continuity of quality service provision. 

• Line management of: LGBTQ+ Lead, Participation Lead, Link Worker Lead, and Advocacy & IV Lead. 

• Through service evaluation, ensuring young people are receiving the best possible quality of support, capturing feedback and learning to continually develop the support we provide.

• Working with Team leads on quality assurance using the data from our client record system, and service specific monitoring to ensure we’re delivering on contractual goals and targets.  

• Be the first point for safeguarding escalation for the Voice Service Leads and part of the on-call safeguarding rota for all of OTR.

Contracts and commissions 

• Managing relationships with contract managers and commissioners. 

• Working with the Service Leads to make sure we produce timely reporting, monitoring numbers, and finance papers.

• Attending quarterly review meetings, annual reviews and subgroups relating to these.

• Working with the SMT on re-contracting and applications to tender for Voice Services. 

Finance 

• Work with Service Leads and the SMT on funding proposals and development opportunities for the Voice Services. 

• Working with the CEO and Service Leads to set and manage the service budgets and expenditure. 

Partnerships 

• Engage and collaborate with community partners to increase OTR’s presence and impact. 

• Develop and maintain relationships within health a social care to improve outcomes for young people.

• Participate in a variety of external networks and steering groups to share learning and best practice to reach more young people who need us most.

Senior Management Team 

• Alongside SMT and the Board of Trustees, overseeing and managing the implementation of OTR’s organisational strategy, including reporting to the Board.  

• Promote OTR values and support the growth of OTR’s culture and identity

• Alongside SMT proactively work to ensure Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion commitments are upheld and continuously woven into what we do.

• Leading on EDI work across OTR to ensure an inclusive, equitable and accessible service for all young people and staff. 

General  

• Participate in the day-to-day work of the organisation – such as reporting, attending team and other meetings as required, and taking a flexible approach to general administrative and support tasks

• Be an ambassador for OTR, actively promoting our vision and work

• Ensure the effective implementation of the organisation’s policies and overall organisational objectives, including Health & Safety policies and procedures, taking responsibility for their own personal health, safety and welfare in the workplace.

Working pattern and location 

This role is based at our office in central Bath, which is very close to Bath Spa train station and Bath central bus station. The post holder will be based in a shared office with access to meeting rooms.

There is opportunity to work from home when agreed with your line manager, and we operate a flexible working policy which allows your hours to be spread throughout the day/week in agreement with your line manager.

The post holder will be expected to be able to travel throughout the authority and beyond to meet service users, professionals, and to attend meetings and training activities associated with the position. Mileage allowance will be payable for these types of travel.

Overview

Prostate Cancer Research (PCR) is seeking a highly organised and proactive Patient Engagement & Programme Officer to support the delivery of several key patient-focused initiatives, including the infopool and Prostate Progress. 

This role will sit within the Patient Projects team, providing operational, administrative, and patient engagement support across a range of programmes designed to support and empower men affected by prostate cancer. 

The postholder will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth delivery of patient communications, programme logistics, digital resource management, and recruitment support for the national Prostate Progress research platform. 

The role will be split approximately 50% supporting Prostate Progress recruitment and patient engagement activities, and 50% supporting wider programmes. 

Key Responsibilities 

Prostate Progress – Patient Recruitment & Support 

Provide support to patients and participants, particularly during the upcoming national recruitment campaigns delivered with NHS DigiTrials. 

Responsibilities include: 

• Managing and triaging incoming emails and phone enquiries from patients responding to recruitment invitations or having issues using the platform 
• Responding to patient queries using approved FAQ materials and support documentation 
• Escalating complex queries or complaints to appropriate internal teams 
• Liaising with our technical support team to resolve participant platform issues and triaging issues accordingly 
• Supporting the development and refinement of participant support materials and FAQs 
• Maintaining clear records of common issues, feedback, and participant concerns 
• Supporting on the development and delivery of Prostate Progress’ engagement and stewardship plan, ensuring they receive regular communications which maximise engagement and ensure retention 
• Ensuring all communications provide a professional, supportive and patient-centred experience 

Additional helpful responsibilities could include: 

• Monitoring recruitment engagement metrics and identifying emerging support issues 
• Flagging trends in patient questions that may require updated communications

The Infopool 

Support the Head of Health Information in maintaining and improving the infopool, PCR’s digital patient information platform. 

Responsibilities include: 

• Managing routine website administration, including checking links, updating resources and uploading new content and materials 
• Ensuring patient resources remain accurate, current and accessible 
• Supporting the administration of Google Analytics and Hotjar surveys 
• Assisting with analysis of website usage data and patient feedback 
• Analysing simple infopool survey feedback data coming from three clinical sites.
• Liaising with the clinical teams to ensure that they have all the materials they need. 
• Supporting the maintenance and organisation of resource libraries and toolkits 
• Assisting with preparation for our annual Patient Information Forum (PIF) TICK reaccreditation.
• Ensuring that documentation is up to date, all clinician sign-offs are complete and accreditation forms are submitted on time. Processing invoices – sending to finance and completing budget sheets.
• Working with other teams to identify opportunities to use infopool patient stories more widely, including supporting case study development and ensuring appropriate permissions are obtained for reuse across PCR activities. 

Programme Administration & Operations 

Provide operational and administrative support to the wider Patient Projects team. Responsibilities include: 

Financial & Reporting Support 

• Processing invoices and submitting them to finance 
• Logging expenditure accurately within programme budget trackers 
• Supporting end-of-month reconciliation and reporting checks 

Materials & Resource Management 

Supporting the Senior Programme Manager in: 

• Managing stock levels for printed materials and patient resources 
• Coordinating ordering and reprinting of materials 
• Monitoring and maintaining inventory 
• Responding to general materials queries 

Administrative Coordination 

• Maintaining and updating the hospital adoption tracker
• Supporting shared inbox queries where required 
• Providing administrative support across the Patient Projects team 

Event & Conference Support 

Supporting the Senior Programme Manager and Health Equity Manager with PCR’s presence at conferences, meetings, and events and organisation of patient workshops and focus groups.

Responsibilities may include: 

• Coordinating logistics for event materials and shipments 
• Researching and booking suitable venues for workshops and arranging refreshments.
• Arranging online focus groups – liaising with patients and sending out pre-group materials.
• Processing patient expenses following focus groups and workshops. 
• Booking courier collections and managing delivery returns 
• Researching and booking suitable accommodation near conference venues 
• Supporting preparation of materials for events and exhibitions 

Providing on-site support when required, including: 

• Setting up conference stands 
• Managing printed materials and stock 
• Supporting delegate sign-ups 
• Directing queries to appropriate team members 
• Taking minutes at workshops and focus groups. 

Person Specification 

We are looking for someone who is: 

• Highly organised with strong administrative skills
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities
• Confident communicating with patients in a professional and empathetic manner 
• Digitally confident and comfortable managing web platforms and analytics tools 
• Detail-oriented with strong record keeping and data management skills 
• Proactive and able to work independently within a hybrid team environment 

Desirable experience includes: 

• Experience working in healthcare, research, or charity sectors

By following the Critical Time Intervention model the CTI Worker will collaborate with a range of services to enable the individual to access them and use a range of appropriate interventions to assist the individual to become more independent and connected.

WSUK is a small national charity based in West Sussex that supports children, young people and adults affected by Wolfram Syndrome (WS) and their parents/wider families. WSUK Adult Support Co-ordinator Role

WSUK is seeking a part-time adult support co-ordinator (2.5 days per week, working over 4-5 days, 0.5 FTE, £14.1k-£15.6k per annum), based in the Midlands area. This home-based role will provide support to WS affected adults and their families to help improve the quality of their lives. Through liaising with professionals (including the WS expert clinical team at Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH), Birmingham), external or advocacy organisations, this role will help facilitate access to the services to which WS affected adults and their families are entitled. The adult support co-ordinator will help adults and their families to increase their confidence and independence in living with their condition. This role will also act as an important point of contact for WS affected adults, providing advice and support in confidence.

Skills and experience

Applicants should have several years’ experience in a similar position, working with people affected by sensory loss, long-term medical / genetic condition, or disability. Applicants should also have a strong desire to help improve the lives of adults living with a long-term condition or disability and be confident in talking with people with a range of abilities and diverse cultural backgrounds.

Applicants should have experience in working effectively as part of a remote team, be confident in working independently and in managing conflicting priorities.

Some limited UK travel will be required (particularly to meet WS affected adults during their WS clinic visit at QEH, Birmingham (6 clinics per year) and the annual WS conference. An enhanced DBS check will be required.

About Reaching Higher 

Reaching Higher is a youth organisation which works with almost 2000 young people aged 10 - 18 each year across Croydon and surrounding boroughs. Developed in partnership with local churches, we are a youth-led charity with a Christian ethos.We place particular emphasis on providing mentoring support to young people and facilitating their development as leaders. We have established strong links with key local, London and UK-wide organisations and our approach leads us into regular working contact with partner schools, community groups and churches. 

You’ll play a key part in bringing our Learning & Inclusion offer to life - designing and delivering creative, accessible learning that supports colleagues and volunteers to be their best. You’ll lead on the charity investment into utilising our apprenticeships levy through programmes of work. 

About the role

Whether it’s developing a new learning offer to delivering one of our core accredited programmes you’ll play a pivotal role in parting knowledge and skills. This role will include delivering workshops, developing digital content, and supporting leadership development, you’ll work with teams and volunteers across the charity to support their learning needs.

What you'll do

• Lead, design and deliver engaging learning sessions, both in person and virtual for colleagues and volunteers, and own the delivery of our various learning programmes 

• Connect with stakeholders to identify learning needs and work with teams to find the right solutions to support their development

• Maintain and develop our learning resources, processes and systems, including supporting our LMS development and e-learning offer

• Work closely with our incredible volunteers across the four nations to support their development

• Oversee the end-to-end apprenticeship program, providing direct mentorship and development for early-career apprentices.

About the role 

In this role, you’ll:

• Co-opt a multidisciplinary leadership team to support you in your role. This team should reflect the multi-professional composition of regional services, as well as the geography and should include at least one person with Parkinson's.

• Drive engagement and participation with the Excellence Network at a regional level. 

• Inspire, challenge and collaborate with the health and social care professional community to drive significant improvements to Parkinson’s services across your region.

• Act as a professional ambassador for the Excellence Network and help represent the professionals in your region.

• Engage with Integrated Care Board (ICB) leaders to help influence the development of your Integrated Care System (ICS).

• Work closely with the Professional Engagement team at Parkinson’s UK to organise and hold engagement opportunities in your region. This will include working with the team to hold and lead at least one in-person meeting in your region per year.

• Attend the annual in-person PEN national and regional clinical Leads meeting.

• Support the PEN national calendar of events through attendance or promotion. This includes Excellence Hub meetings and other activities centred around our national priorities.

• Work closely with the PEN National Clinical Leadership Team (CLT) to discuss and review national and regional priorities. Attend a virtual meeting with CLT 2 times per year. 

What you’ll bring:

• You’ll be a UK-based clinical healthcare professional, working in Parkinson’s or with extensive interest and expertise in the condition, with exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills. Healthcare professionals living with Parkinson’s are also encouraged to apply.

The purpose of the post is to take responsibility for the HR oversight, day to day HR matters and the overall HR management of the charity.

The role will require initially regular meets on the sites with the CEO & Senior Management Team to build relationships, understand current processes and to establish and implement a best-in-class HR service to managers and employees across the organisation, allowing the CEO & Senior Managers to focus on the essential strategic management of the charity. 

We envisage the first 6 months being a comprehensive review & reset of the charities HR policies, procedures and protocols. 

This will be a part-time role for 21 hours per week across 3-4 days. This role will be busy, interesting and provide an opportunity for you to make your mark within the charity. You will have line management responsibilities for a part time HR administrator who you will be working closely with. 

To succeed in this role, you must demonstrate that you have the necessary skills, knowledge and practical experience to perform effectively. You should also hold a CIPD Diploma-level qualification and have a thorough, up-to-date understanding of current UK employment legislation. 

Your strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail should enable you to manage documentation and records effectively, ensuring processes run smoothly and efficiently.

About The Role

The Ecommerce and Retail Manager will be responsible for driving strong, sustainable growth in online retail revenue through the charity’s online shop. This role manages the end-to-end ecommerce operation, ensures best-in-class customer experience, optimises product availability, and leads digital trading activity across the charity’s website and social channels. The successful candidate will work cross functionally with IT, Marketing, and operational teams, and serve as the key point of contact for our warehouse fulfilment partner and ecommerce technology suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

Ecommerce Trading & Growth

• Own the ecommerce trading plan and deliver year-on-year revenue growth for the charity’s online shop.
• Optimise product listings, content, merchandising, and promotions to maximise conversion and average order value.
• Manage seasonal retail moments (Christmas, summer, themed campaigns) and work across directorates to deliver high-impact commercial activity.
• Maximise margins and contribution

Product Range, Inventory & Supplier Management

• Manage online inventory levels end to end, ensuring high availability and accurate stock levels on Shopify.
• Source new products and suppliers and build compelling, mission-aligned product ranges that support both revenue and brand objectives.
• Ensure merchandise is stocked, optimally displayed, and refreshed in onsite racking within the charity’s restaurant/HQ retail space.
• Develop efficient processes for internal teams to request, purchase, or replenish stock through the warehouse fulfilment partner.

Platform Management (Shopify & Plugins)

• Be the day-to-day owner of the Shopify store; maintain products, collections, pricing, discount codes, offers, and promotions.
• Confidently manage and troubleshoot Shopify apps, plugins, and integrations, including testing of subscription models such as “Subscribe & Save”.
• Work closely with IT on API integrations to ensure all systems (Shopify, fulfilment, CRM, payment gateways, analytics, etc.) operate seamlessly.

Fulfilment & Supplier Account Management

• Act as the primary account manager for the warehouse fulfilment provider, ensuring service levels, stock movement, and logistics performance meet agreed standards.
• Resolve operational issues quickly and maintain strong working relationships with external ecommerce partners.

Marketing, Social & Affiliate Channels

• Manage the online shop’s presence across the charity’s social media platforms, ensuring product visibility and consistency with brand guidelines.

• Develop and manage affiliate-marketing activity, including both publisher side and advertiser side relationships.

Analytics & Reporting

• Monitor sales performance, customer behaviour, funnel metrics, and traffic sources to drive data-led decision making.

About You

The following attributes are considered essential for the job:

• Proven experience managing an ecommerce shop, ideally on Shopify.
• Strong understanding of ecommerce trading, inventory management, merchandising, promotions, and fulfilment workflows.
• Confident in managing relationships with external suppliers, fulfilment partners, and technology providers.
• Experience working with affiliate networks (both as publisher and advertiser).
• Ability to navigate, test, and optimise third party Shopify apps and plugins.
