Job Purpose

This role sits within our new project supporting male asylum seekers accommodated in hotels based in Ealing. The service aims to address mental health challenges exacerbated by displacement, trauma, and isolation, with a culturally sensitive approach that prioritises language accessibility, stigma reduction, and improved access to onward referrals.

This will be achieved through in-reach targeted group sessions and 1:1 tailored support sessions, addressing:

• Psychoeducation
• Emotional regulation and coping support
• Peer-based and social connection activities
• Creative and expressive activities (art, drama, storytelling)
• Better accessibility with onward services

The Role

The role of the Mental Health (Asylum Seekers) Coordinator is to engage male asylum seekers who are accommodated in hotels in Ealing; arrange, coordinate and facilitate a range of culturally appropriate psychoeducation, peer-led and expressive activities which will be delivered twice a week. The role will also include 1:1 sessions; providing mental health stabilisation, advice and support to connect with wider services including multilingual engagement. This role includes autonomous and creative thinking.

Person Specification

About This Project: Bessels Green Baptist Church is thriving community of Christians who have recently received a substantial legacy gift of £1 million. Following extensive community consultation, we have decided to develop and launch a community garden/outdoor hub on a site that we have already secured. Our aim is to improve the mental well-being of people in Sevenoaks and the surrounding villages. The project will offer a range of horticultural, nature connection, exercise and other therapeutic activities available to all. We want it to give people a sense of belonging and responsibility in a safe space, while developing skills and emotional well-being that will support other parts of their lives.  We want this to be a long-lasting, self-sustainable, inspiring project that will impact those in our community who are experiencing a vulnerable time in their lives.

About This Role

Reporting to: Trustees of Ash Platt Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) 

We are seeking an entrepreneurial and passionate Project Manager to help us design and deliver an exciting outdoor mental health project that will benefit our local community in significant ways. You will create a natural, nurturing, calm outdoor space to bring people together to support their wellbeing. 
Initially you will work from home or with office space available at Bessels Green Baptist Church and will need to travel regularly to meetings and the garden site. Once launched, the role will require attendance at the garden several days per week. 

Key Responsibilities

· You will build upon the findings of the Community Mental Health Scoping Exercise to develop a comprehensive project plan to launch the garden in the first half of 2026 – having designed the space in conjunction with the local community and experts who have related experience.

· You will promote the garden and its activities to potential beneficiaries and partners, establishing a marketing and communications strategy and building relationships with community leaders and stakeholder groups.

· You will create a programme of activities to support wellbeing and mental health, design effective ways to monitor and evaluate impact and ensure constant learning and improvement as the project develops.

• You will create a welcoming, positive, and inclusive environment where people from any background will feel valued and supported.
• You will develop the operations of the garden with volunteers and partners, taking responsibility for its maintenance, promoting health and safety standards and ensuring that volunteers have the tools, equipment and workwear to work safely and comfortably.
• You will manage a comprehensive programme of volunteering to support garden operations, identify pathways for volunteers to take on leadership roles. recruit and manage any future staff required and design training and support structures for all team members
• You will extend the reach of the original legacy gift by exploring a diverse range of funding opportunities, identify and pursue match funding and build partnerships with potential funders and supporting organisations

About You

Essential Requirements

• Educated to degree level or higher, or with equivalent work experience.
• A demonstrable experience of managing and launching complex projects of a similar nature and the ability to manage an outdoor space.
• A passion for working outdoors and awareness of the benefits to people's wellbeing of being outside in nature
• Practical experience of working alongside mental health services.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and demonstrable competence in IT, data management and data protection.

Croydon Health & Wellbeing Space (CHWS) is an exciting and dynamic service, run in partnership with Mind in Croydon and Croydon BME Forum and commissioned by South London and Maudsley Mental Health Service (SLaM). The CHWS opened in 2022 with the aim of providing advice, information, and specialist support to Croydon residents with mental health concerns, who drop-in, or have been referred to the via the local Integrated Care Network Plus multi-disciplinary clinical and community mental health support teams.

The Advice Worker will be part of a friendly team, including crisis workers and clinical mental health professionals and function as the first point of access for visitors to the CHWS. Following an initial conversation to ascertain the clients’ needs, the Advice Worker will provide information and advice, as well as signposting and referrals to specialist services, such as the Mental Health Personal Independence Co-ordinators, Social Prescribers and Community Link Workers, in addition to the wider voluntary and statutory services in the borough. Job Title: Senior Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker 

Location: Based in Catford in a well connected area near Bellingham, Catford, and Catford Bridge stations, with nearby bus stops. Please be kindly aware there is no step free access at this location and some of our other sites.

Salary: £28,000

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday on a rota which includes 3 to 4 night shifts a week between 20:00 - 08:30. There may be some flexibility required around these hours as per service requirements.

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker to support in leading the night shift within our Lewisham service. The service offers specialist intensive rehabilitation for people who require more enhanced interventions than that which is offered within community services. We provide residents with support to step down into less supported accommodation, becoming more independent and integrated into the community. 

As a Senior within the team, you will be the main point of contact during the night shift across two residential properties, leading the team by example, providing specialist support and managing the environment to be psychologically informed to empower the team and residents to ensure safety, wellbeing, and progress towards resident recovery goals. 

Some key responsibilities include:

• Providing tailored, person centred support that promotes recovery, rehabilitation and independence.
• Monitoring residents’ wellbeing, carrying out regular checks, and responding to any incidents or emergencies.
• Ensuring a calm, safe, and supportive environment that promotes positive engagement and progress.
• Remain alert and monitor CCTV throughout the shift.
• Complete all routine night duties and any tasks handed over by the day shift or service manager.
• Key worker responsibilities: complete inductions, support plans, reviews, risk assessments, and welfare checks; update records, monitor access, manage unauthorized visitors, follow missing person protocols, and escalate issues to on call when needed.

About You

We’re looking for a resilient and compassionate individual to join our team as a Senior Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker, supporting residents to reach their full potential within a flexible, recovery focused service. You’ll provide high quality care, working collaboratively as part of a supportive team that values communication, empathy, and empowerment. Hillside Clubhouse is recruiting an IPS Employment Specialist to join our dynamic Islington team, supporting people with mental health conditions to gain and retain employment. The IPS Employment Specialists within the Islington IPS Service work within the nationally recognised IPS (Individual Placement and Support) model within NHS secondary and primary care mental health teams, based in the heart of Islington.

Hillside Clubhouse is a co-produced mental health employment support charity working across Islington. We support people with mental health conditions into training, volunteering, and employment opportunities. People can access our services via our Clubhouse, where they can share their skills and expertise with others and support the running of the charity.  Alternatively, they can receive support out in the community from one of our Employment Specialists based within NHS mental health teams.

The Role: 

We are recruiting for one IPS Employment Specialist role within our Islington IPS Service. This position will be based within the North London NHS Foundation Trust mental health services in the borough of Islington.

As an IPS Employment Specialist, you’ll play an important role in supporting people with lived mental health experience on their recovery journey by supporting them back into paid employment. This is an opportunity to offer ongoing support, to motivate and provide people with hope, while developing the tools and skills required to recover - ultimately transforming their lives.

A variety of skills are needed in this post including but not limited to: a strong ability to develop empathy and rapport with clients; a determined approach to seeking out job opportunities; a person centric-approach to working with people; strong communications skills to motivate clients; strong administrative capabilities and an attention to detail engage with prospective employers via business development and face-to-face meetings, as well as to be able to challenge some perceptions around mental health. 

The postholder will be directly employed by Hillside Clubhouse but work under an Honorary Contract from the North London NHS Foundation Trust.  They will be managed directly by the IPS Operations Manager but work as team member within the clinical team. The role is dynamic and involves being integrated in a clinical team, working within the community, and we operate a flexible working policy where working from home is also permitted up to two days per week.

Overall Aim: 

To enable people with mental health issues to gain and sustain competitive employment by working within the evidence-based Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model.

The Community Connectors programme is an exciting partnership between Community Links, Aston Mansfield, Mind in Tower Hamlets, Newham and Redbridge, and the NHS East London Foundation Trust (ELFT).

Community Connectors work alongside ELFT under what is called the Mental Health Transformation Programme. The ethos of the programme is recovery focused, exploring needs through complexity (rather than diagnosis), a focus on a person’s strengths and assets, and on the wider determinants of health and wellbeing.

The role involves providing holistic support to people suffering from a serious mental illness or SMI. Service users will have a single or range of diagnosed conditions, will be known to ELFT and will therefore have a range of needs, including symptoms of anxiety or depression, or have a diagnosis of schizophrenia. Specifically, the Community Connector will work with multi-disciplinary teams (MDTs) who sit within primary care networks or PCNs (clusters of GP practices) across Newham, and will support people in accessing appropriate local services, embodying a true example of wrap around support.

Above all, the Community Connector will be a strong networker who is able to engage multiple stakeholders for the betterment of service user welfare and outcomes.

Manchester Mind has worked with Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust for a number of years to deliver roles within Community Mental Health Teams in Manchester. Social Workers are a vital part of those teams and we are advertising for two roles in different teams within Manchester. Community Navigator (SPA) – Mental Health

Location: Eaglestone Health Centre, Milton Keynes

This role is an opportunity to work for Mind BLMK as part of the Milton Keynes NHS mental health service for someone with experience working in health, social care or information and advice, in direct contact with service users.

Working alongside colleagues from Central Northwest London Foundation Trust (CNWL) this role will provide referral management to and from Secondary Services. This will include signposting patients to statutory services including talking therapies and wider community based & voluntary sector support.

The role also includes answering calls through the NHS 111 Mental Health Option whereby you will be required to assess risks in real time and appropriately managing the call, escalating when necessary.

The Community Navigator will work as part of the team to deliver on the aims and objectives of the Mental Health Hub whilst representing the Voluntary and Community sector with the NHS.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1 years’ employment working in health, social care or information and advice, in direct contact with service users, ideally within a Mental Health setting, and will have worked with challenging or vulnerable patients who present with multiple or complex needs or risk history.

Service Delivery

• Work within the NHS Mental Health SPA (Single Point of Access) Team to review and process referrals received from GP Practices and other sources including those to be subsequently triaged and assessed by mental health practitioners.
• Actively call patients with a view to assisting them through the process and making their onward appointments into community or secondary care service providers.
• Support the hub to signpost patients and direct them to appropriate services including secondary care, the local Voluntary and Community sector services and activities that support the patients’ wider determinates of their mental health and wellbeing.
• Answer calls, ensure sufficient phone cover, respond to messages/voicemails, provide administrative support to the Mental Health SPA for all services and deal with queries in a sensitive and timely way liaising with clinical or team lead as is appropriate.
• Monitor service inboxes during core office hours, responding to any queries professionally providing helpful information.
• Monitor and action tasks within SystmOne and maintain records of all activities carried out, i.e. outbound calls, calls received, archiving any received correspondence.
• Build good working relationships with the voluntary and community sector, relevant services and activities to ensure signposting pathways are kept up to date as well navigating and developing the setup of new signposting pathways through networking.
• Provide clinical and non-clinical information in appropriate chronological templates to other services.
• Carry out health and safety responsibilities as directed by Managers in line with Mind BLMK’s H&S policies, procedures, and guidance (risk assessments, reviews, reporting, safeguarding, incidents/accidents, premises).
• To bring VCSE experience, knowledge and culture into an NHS team.

About the Role

The post holder will provide support to people in relation to their medication, treatment and care, ensuring that they understand and can access their rights, within the context of Independent Advocacy as set out in the Advocacy Charter and Code of Practice.

IMHAs are expected to provide a duty advocacy role as part of a rota which includes occasional Saturday working. (There is no additional payment for this, although time off in lieu is given).

To provide an Independent Mental Health Advocacy Service to Welsh Qualifying Patients in hospitals and registered settings as required by the Mental Health Act 1983 (2007 Amendment) and the Mental Health (Wales) Measure 2010.

About You

You will have significant experience working with vulnerable adults and/or children, either within health or social care setting, or indirectly, for example as a carer. You will understand and have experience of working effectively in an intra-agency context with Health and Social Care Professionals.

Previous direct experience in the role would be preferred but training will be provided.

Essential Information

The position available is based in our Swansea office. You must be able to drive and have access to a car during the working week.

The starting salary for this role is £24,725 based on a 37 hour week.

All successful candidates will require an enhanced DBS check.
