The Role

The Head of Income Generation will play a critical role in bringing this mission to life through compelling storytelling, strategic relationship-building, and entrepreneurial fundraising. You’ll create a powerful case for support that inspires existing and prospective funders, while identifying new avenues for growth across trusts and foundations, major donors, and corporate partnerships. Hands-on and proactive in your approach, you’ll lead on crafting compelling proposals and funding bids, building meaningful relationships with supporters, and delivering effective stewardship. Managing the full fundraising cycle, you’ll be motivated by turning opportunities into long-term partnerships and ensuring funders feel genuinely connected to Build Up’s mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a 3-year fundraising strategy focused on securing sustainable funding and diversifying income streams
• Build and manage a pipeline of both core and project funding opportunities, conducting robust prospect research to identify and cultivate new donors alongside opportunities to grow existing partnerships
• Write compelling funding proposals to trusts and foundations with emphasis on securing multi-year 5 and 6-figure funding
• Drive the growth of additional high-value income streams, including major donors, corporate partnerships, and other strategic fundraising opportunities
• Deliver effective stewardship and relationship management, ensuring funders feel engaged, valued, and connected to Build Up’s impact, while overseeing all reporting and communications
• Take ownership of the CRM system, ensuring accurate data management, effective reporting, and efficient processes to support fundraising activity and strategic decision-making
• Commission and manage a communications consultant (Year 1) to develop and deliver a strategy for reaching new audiences
• Commission and manage an evaluation consultant (Year 2) to redesign Build Up’s evaluation framework, strengthening evidence and communications

Person Specification

• Proven track record of developing and delivering successful fundraising strategies that drive sustainable income growth across high value fundraising streams
• Demonstrable experience securing and managing trust and foundation funding
• Experience working with other high value supporters such as major donors and corporate partners
• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals and clearly articulate Build Up’s impact
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging and influencing stakeholders and funders

What’s on Offer
Salary: £50,000 - £54,000 FTE

At the National Garden Scheme a central office with a team of 13 is the hub for a wide range of activity involving hundreds of volunteers, thousands of garden owners and a large audience of beneficiary charities, suppliers, supporters and partners, as well as members of the public who want to visit gardens and engage with the charity.

The Head of Operations leads and manages County Support, a team of four who deliver the resources, information and support needed by our volunteer county organising teams who support the garden owners. The Head of Operations is key in ensuring that the volunteers feel valued and supported. 

The right candidate will have experience of database management, ideally Microsoft Dynamics, so that they can update, interrogate and maintain our database and online portal through which garden owners register and manage their garden data. We are currently updating our IT system and there will be a need for change management to ensure that staff and volunteers are comfortable using the new system.

Manage the county support team

About the opportunity

At Alzheimer’s Society, we believe no one should face dementia alone. Every conversation, every visit and every small moment of reassurance can make a real difference. We are looking for a warm, thoughtful and organised Dementia Adviser to join our supportive team in City of Doncaster working 35 hours hours per week.

The Doncaster service is a partnership with Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust to provide joined-up support for people affected by memory concerns and dementia. This includes both practical advice and access to clinical expertise through a shared pathway.

As part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team, you’ll play an important role in helping people with dementia and their carers achieve better outcomes and feel more supported in their day-to-day lives.

You’ll also get out into the community to raise awareness of the service, helping people understand what support is available and how to access it. Working alongside clinical colleagues, you’ll build strong relationships with primary care teams so we can reach those who may not yet be receiving the help they need.

This is a busy and rewarding service, so being flexible and able to manage different priorities is important. Above all, we’re looking for someone who is committed to making a difference, continuously improving the service, and providing high-quality, person-centred support that adapts to the changing needs of the people we support.

You will work closely with people living with dementia and those who care about them, providing ongoing support. You will listen carefully, understand what matters most to each person and offer guidance that helps them feel steadier and more confident as their situation changes.

Your days will be varied and meaningful. You might be visiting someone at home, offering calm reassurance over the phone, or working closely with other professionals to make sure the right support is in place. We operate a triage system for new referrals and you will play your part in making sure people are responded to quickly and thoughtfully. You will manage your own caseload, keeping clear and accurate records, while always seeing the person behind the paperwork.

You will be part of a caring and dynamic local team who share ideas, reflect together and support one another. There will be time to meet as a team and opportunities to keep growing your knowledge of dementia, with your manager and colleagues alongside you.

About you
You will have:

- An understanding of dementia, or a willingness to learn about the experiences of people living with dementia and those who care for them.
- Experience providing information, guidance, advice or emotional support - this could be from health, social care, community, voluntary, customer service or other people focused roles.
- You will be able to listen and communicate, with the ability to build trust and rapport with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
- The ability to manage your workload effectively, with appropriate support and tools, and to balance competing priorities.
- Confidence using IT systems to maintain accurate and confidential records.
- A compassionate, non-judgemental and person-centred approach, with respect for diversity and individual lived experiences.
- The ability to travel independently.
- The confidence and ability to communicate with a wide range of people, adapting your approach to ensure understanding. You will be required to speak publicly at events about dementia, delivering information and signposting people to further resources and networks.

About the opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Dementia Adviser, working within the Dementia Wellbeing Service in Bristol.

A partnership organisation bringing together the NHS and the Alzheimer’s Society, as a Dementia Adviser within the service you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver dementia support, signposting and advice across the city.

This is a role that allows you to make a real difference in the lives of those affected by dementia.

About you

We are looking for someone who:

- is passionate about supporting people to maintain their independence, improve their sense of well-being, and help them to live well with dementia.
- has professional or personal experience of dementia and the challenges people affected by it may face.
- is comfortable working in the community – meeting people in their homes to deliver dementia support.
- is able to manage difficult conversations and adopt a non-judgemental approach.
- can network effectively and collaborate with other professionals to achieve positive outcomes for people.
- is capable of managing a caseload of service users effectively and independently, ensuring face to face reviews and telephone contacts happen within expected timescales.
- has strong written communication skills and can write case notes with clarity, accuracy and timeliness. Previous experience of writing case notes is not required.
- has the ability to travel across the local area independently as often as required

What you’ll focus on:

-      Managing an existing caseload of service users as well as new referrals to deliver ongoing post-diagnostic support.
-      Working collaboratively with NHS clinicians to ensure the right support is offered to people at the right time.
-      Writing and updating of ‘Wellbeing Plans’ that capture a person’s history, current support needs, and future wishes. 
-      Supporting our peer-support groups, delivering carers education courses and engaging in awareness raising events in the community.
-      Identifying service user support needs and referring onwards to appropriate organisations (e.g. social services, other charity organisations).

Farleigh Hospice is a high-performing charity, providing compassionate care and support to adults living with life-limiting illnesses in mid Essex, and bereavement support to their families and carers.

We are now looking for a warm, organised and proactive Supporter Engagement and Insights Manager to help us deepen relationships with our supporters. 

This role is central to building a sustainable income base that allows Farleigh Hospice to continue providing vital support to people when and where they need us most. 

The role 

In collaboration with the Head of Communications and Director of Income Generation you will help develop Farleigh Hospice’s supporter engagement and individual giving programme, with a focus on retention, growing regular giving and lifetime value.

A key part of your role will be leading the development of our approach to supporter journeys and stewardship frameworks, working closely with the fundraising team to ensure a consistent and high-quality experience across all fundraising channels, and ensuring every supporter feels valued, motivated and connected to our mission.

You will also support the communications and fundraising teams to analyse supporter data to ensure we are using insights to refine our activity and support the success of all income streams.

Using your strong leadership and team management skills you will provide guidance, direction and support to the supporter engagement team, while delivering impactful campaigns, supporter journeys and stewardship touchpoints.

The Role

As the Head of Individual Giving & Supporter Engagement, you will be instrumental in developing and executing an ambitious growth plan to maximise Individual giving income and supporter engagement. Key Responsibilities:

• Create and execute ACT’s supporter engagement and Individual Giving strategies, producing annual plans to drive an ambitious step-change in acquisition and retention.

Job Summary

Financial support
