The Programme Funding and Partnerships Team contributes to WaterAid’s mission by cultivating and securing income from priority institutional and non-institutional partners for all of WaterAid’s programmes globally. 

About the role

As our dynamic Strategic Funding and Co-financing Advisor, you will oversee a portfolio of restricted funding projects, bringing donors closer to our work through engaging project proposals and reports. You will also act as the global focal point for your portfolio and proactively support country and fundraising teams to drive income growth through strategic advice and guidance. 

This is a unique role within the organisation and will suit someone who thrives in a busy working environment with a varied workload. You will enjoy using your meticulous eye for detail and creativity to develop compelling materials that inspire donors and stakeholders.

You’ll also:  

• Oversee the project cycle, supporting project selection, bid development, and monitoring until closure. 
• Provide quality assurance of internal and external project proposals and reports. 
• Manage donor communications, tailoring content for diverse audiences. 
• Build and maintain strong relationships with project staff and stakeholders across the WaterAid federation. 
• Provide strategic guidance on funding priorities and programme needs, including managing a busy helpdesk that supports teams across the federation.

Requirements

To be successful, you will need:

• Experience in project management and administration 
• Knowledge of restricted funding cycles and budgets

Head of Finance

The role
As Head of Finance, you will be the organisation’s lead financial expert, reporting directly to the Chief Executive and working closely with fellow senior leaders and Trustees. You will provide the financial insight and leadership that underpins strategic decisions and day-to-day operations.

You will:

• Lead the development and delivery of the organisation’s financial strategy, ensuring long-term sustainability and supporting our strategic priorities and business plans.
• Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, management accounts and statutory accounts.
• Lead on financial reporting and liaison with the Trustee Board, including servicing and advising the Trustee Finance Committee.

We are looking for a Senior Fundraising Lead to drive our growth by securing high-value partnerships. Purpose - working closely with Senior Managers, the post holder will support all aspects of business development and fundraising, including the development of bids, tender submissions and  applications for funding to achieve the Association’s objectives.   The postholder will also play an important role in supporting the mobilisation of projects and services following a successful application.

SOME KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Support the development and implementation of a Business Development Strategy incorporating grant funding, contracted provision and social enterprise development, which aligns with the Association’s Strategic and Development Plans.

- Support the development and implementation of an annual Fundraising Plan with ambitious income goals that underpin the Association’s strategic goals and accelerates revenue growth in a sustainable manner.

- Identify new funding / tender opportunities that are well targeted, informed and thoroughly researched in order to maximise the chances of success.

- Produce external funding bids, expressions of interest and support income generating activities including developing tender responses and social enterprises to meet the Association’s objectives.

- Submit bids, tenders and required information to funders within defined deadlines while meeting submission requirements.

- Support the development of business cases for establishing social enterprises and joint ventures that deliver local outcomes and diversify / strengthen the Association’s financial base.

Jangala is seeking an ambitious and strategic Fundraising Manager to sustain and grow our income from trusts, foundations and corporate partners. This is a hands-on role for an experienced fundraiser who enjoys translating complex work into compelling funding propositions and building strong relationships with supporters. Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, you will lead on our trusts and foundations pipeline, manage key corporate partners, write high-quality funding applications and support the development of our stewardship and wider fundraising strategies.

This is initially a 6 month contract, with the aim of becoming permanent subject to funding. As Jangala is a growing organisation, you will also help shape fundraising tools/processes and there is potential for this role to evolve according to your skills, interests and development goals over time.

Key responsibilities will include:

Trusts & Foundations

• Leading a pipeline of UK and global trusts and foundations and other grantmakers, including researching and cultivating new opportunities, developing proposals, coordinating internal inputs and submitting high-quality bids

• Managing relationships with our current funders, with a focus on stewardship, reporting and renewals, ensuring accurate, timely and engaging updates on progress and impact

• Working with Head of Fundraising to review our current pipeline, refine our trusts and foundations strategy and identify our approach for priority opportunities, including National Lottery

• Developing and implementing a clear stewardship strategy for trusts and foundation funders

Corporate Partnerships

• Account managing key corporate partners to maintain strong relationships and identify opportunities to deepen engagement over time

• Leading on partnership planning, relationship management, partnership storytelling, impact reporting and, where relevant, corporate volunteering activities

Fundraising Strategy & Support

• Working with programme and technology teams to develop a strong understanding of Jangala’s work and translate this into compelling fundraising narratives

• Supporting the Head of Fundraising with pipeline management, forecasting and fundraising planning

• Maintaining accurate records in Jangala’s CRM and funder tracking systems

• Contributing to the development of fundraising materials, case studies and impact content

The person we're looking for

We are looking for an experienced fundraiser who is confident writing funding applications and managing relationships, and who is motivated by Jangala’s mission and values. • A strong track record in trusts and foundations fundraising, including prospect research, bid writing, stewardship and reporting

Jangala’s office is based in London and operates a remote-first working policy. Travel to our London office will be required for mind-mapping and collaborative work at least once a week.

Additionally, they contribute to developing service standards, follow policies and legislation, report maintenance issues, and undertake additional duties as required, always upholding health and safety rules and procedures.

Here's what the team will be looking for

The role requires demonstrable experience supporting people with mental health and complex needs, along with a strong understanding of recovery approaches and co-production. Staff should be able to design and deliver activities that reduce anxiety, build confidence, and support individuals in creating their own recovery journeys. This includes engaging service users in assessments, co-producing and reviewing support and safety plans, and maintaining accurate monitoring records for internal use and external reporting. A good knowledge of legislation, including welfare reform, the Care Act, and housing pathways, is essential, as well as the ability to handle financial transactions accurately and use IT systems, including MS Office and case management tools.

Flexibility and resilience are also key, with the need to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, while maintaining high service standards in unpredictable or challenging situations. An understanding of basic building safety issues and the ability to identify repairs is desirable. What you'll do

• Provide administrative and practical support, acting as the first point of contact as and when required, responding to common queries or signposting as appropriate 

• Coordinate team meetings, circulate agendas and make meeting notes 

• Provide support with financial administration tasks such as submitting expense claims, raising purchase orders, processing  invoices and responding to requests as needed 

• Engage, influence and update a variety of stakeholders at all levels across and at cross-directorate meetings as required 

• Support Research Leadership Team and Directorate Team meetings,  with agendas and minutes, actions are followed up, and decisions implemented

What you'll bring

• Have a broad understanding of scientific research through a degree or working in a research oriented organisation 

• Experience of team administration or supporting a senior executive 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate when required at all levels internally and externally

• Excellent administration skills, including minute-taking, presentation preparation and a positive, assertive and resilient approach to prioritising and juggling varying pressures and conflicting priorities 

• Experience in coordinating multiple projects simultaneously that meet the business requirements with minimal supervision 

• Experience of developing and maintaining effective working relationships with senior stakeholders

About the role

As Housing Rights Worker, you will deliver high quality housing advice and advocacy in line with the hub’s local community projects and strategy. This will involve working alongside people who are experiencing homelessness and bad housing to identify issues facing local communities.  You will plan and deliver casework to individuals and communities to resolve their housing situation, networking and engaging with community groups, local organisations and individuals to understand local housing issues and raise awareness of housing rights.

You will also work within local community settings and alongside community groups, delivering advice and rights awareness through outreach and workshops. You will ensure that people with lived experience of homelessness have opportunities to share their story, give their views and participate in the design and delivery of Shelter services. If needed, you will support our volunteers, provide learning, shadowing and mentoring and be a consistent role model for Shelter’s values.

About you

You will have the ability to engage and work collaboratively with individuals, communities and with all stakeholders, including running group workshops and presentations. You have experience, knowledge of and/or proven ability in housing and homelessness advice and advocacy, with the ability to progress to specialist level knowledge. Essential to the role will be good time management, carrying out casework related interviews, maintaining detailed case records and offering advice and support to clients to inform their decisions.  A proven record of delivering group workshops and presentations is essential, as is a collaborative, flexible and professional approach to your work.

This is a hands-on Digital Marketing Officer role created to support the overall marketing and communications, with specific responsibilities in respect of employability programmes and overall Hub-based activity.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Content & Video

• Lead on the creation and editing of video content for:

         o Social media and digital channels

         o Impact stories and case studies

         o Employability programmes and participant journeys

         o Internal communications and staff engagement

• Capture and edit short-form and long-form content aligned to brand guidelines
• Support filming opportunities across the Hub and wider organisation

Employability & Hub Marketing

• Work closely with the Employability team to support recruitment, engagement and promotion of SkillsShare programmes
• Create accessible, engaging content for participants, employers and funders
• Support marketing and communications for Hub-based initiatives, projects and pilots (eg catering, hospitality, pantries)

Email Marketing & Internal Comms

• Support email marketing activity in collaboration with the Senior Manager and Digital Marketing Officer

• Help ensure staff and volunteers feel informed, engaged and connected during a period of change and growth

Brand, Reporting & Collaboration

• Act as a brand champion, ensuring consistency and quality across outputs

• Work collaboratively with colleagues across Marketing, Employability, Volunteering and Fundraising teams
• Support ad hoc marketing and communications activity as required

About The Role

This part time Welcome Desk Team Lead role is a key operational position within the Arboretum’s Visitor Experience team. Working 30 hours per week, you’ll take the lead on the day to day running of the welcome desk, ensuring visitors receive a smooth, professional and well managed experience from the moment they arrive. You’ll work closely with the Assistant Visitor Services Manager to support delivery across the site, balancing excellent customer service with strong operational oversight.

You’ll coordinate welcome desk activity, oversee tills and reporting, support daily briefings, and act as a duty manager when required. The role also involves supporting rotas, contributing to seven-day operations across peak and quieter periods, and assisting with extended opening for events. With responsibility for guiding paid staff and volunteers, you’ll help ensure the team is confident, well-trained and able to deliver consistently high standards in a busy visitor environment.

This role would suit someone with solid experience in customer-facing operations, ideally within a visitor attraction, leisure or retail setting, who enjoys leading people and keeping things running efficiently behind the scenes. You’ll be confident handling cash, comfortable supporting volunteers, and able to adapt to changing demands across the site.
