About the role:

This role is based at our National Contact Centre in Cardiff. There will be an initial induction period that will run Monday to Friday 9am-5pm for a 4 week period. After successfully completing your induction, you will move to your fixed rota hours.

As a Helpline Adviser you will be:

• Able to respond to victims of and those affected by crime by providing emotional support, information and referrals on to Victim Support services and other agencies.
• Seamlessly working across multiple services with different processes, procedures and recording mechanisms.
• Managing and responding appropriately to competing priorities, services and needs.
• Responsible for taking disclosures and responding appropriately by either escalating the safeguarding concern to the 'Designated Safeguarding Officer' or to respond immediately to life threatening situations.

You will need:

• Experience of working in challenging and changing environments with the emphasis on excellence in service delivery.
• Experience of organising and prioritising a complex workload.
• The ability to deal sensitively with challenging and emotionally charged situations, demonstrate empathy and control own emotions.

Here's what the team will be looking for:

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience working with individuals affected by mental health and dual-diagnosis issues, with strong knowledge of a wide range of mental health conditions, effective communication approaches, and the ability to provide support with dignity and respect. They will understand relevant Mental Health legislation, the principles of recovery, and a variety of recovery approaches. The role requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, support the induction of new staff and volunteers, and work collaboratively with statutory services. The candidate will bring experience in planning and delivering added-value initiatives, alongside excellent communication, partnership-building, risk-assessment, and case-management skills. Strong organisational, IT, literacy, and numeracy abilities are essential, as is knowledge of local recovery tools, wellbeing services, and safeguarding practices.

Between the hours of 2pm - 10pm. 39 hours per week, including weekends and bank holidays.

Cambridge Sustainable Food CIC (CSF) is a non-profit organisation established in 2018 working to build a fairer, more sustainable food system which supports the community and the environment. We campaign to achieve healthy and sustainable food for everyone; food which is good for our health, the planet, and the local economy. 

The Food Justice Alliance

The Cambridge Food Justice Alliance is a network of local organisations working together to address food insecurity in Cambridge and take strategic, collective action for lasting food justice. The Alliance strengthens connections across the city, supports partners to share knowledge and experience, identifies shared priorities, and coordinates activity to help residents access fair, dignified and sustainable food support. Its work is guided by a steering group with representatives from Cambridge Sustainable Food, Cambridge City Foodbank, Cambridge City Council, Cambridge United Charitable Trust, Abbey People CIO, Cambridge Ethnic Community Forum and Church of the Good Shepherd. The Steering Group shapes key themes, agrees collective actions and identifies the partners best placed to lead specific areas of work. 

This is a coordination and systems leadership role, not a frontline delivery post. The Coordinator will strengthen partnership working, improve communication and shared learning, support resident involvement, and increase the Alliance's influence on policy, funding and system change. The role will help build a stronger, more connected and influential Alliance, enabling collective action to address both the causes and impacts of food insecurity.

Key Responsibilities

Partnership Coordination and Development

• Coordinate and facilitate meetings of the Steering Group, wider Alliance and working groups.

• Establish and maintain an annual work plan, monitor progress and support shared accountability.

• Build strong relationships across voluntary, community, statutory, academic and grassroots organisations.

• Support partners to identify shared priorities, reduce duplication and develop collaborative approaches.

Mapping, Insight and Systems Development

• Develop and maintain a clear picture of food-related provision across Cambridge.

• Map support pathways, referral routes, gaps and opportunities.

The Gloucestershire Infrastructure Collaborative is seeking an experienced freelance Convenor to support an exciting partnership of nine Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations working together to strengthen the sector's role within Gloucestershire's health and wellbeing system.

This is a unique opportunity for an independent facilitator, connector and systems thinker who enjoys working in complexity across organisational boundaries, to build trusted relationships, strengthen collective leadership and help partnerships turn ambition into meaningful action.  The Convenor will build trust, psychological safety and shared purpose, helping the group develop collective leadership, navigate complexity, challenge and learning together.

The Fundraising and Communications Officer plays a vital and diverse role in the success of the Fundraising and Communications Directorate and London Youth as a whole. As well as taking on your own specific projects, you will offer support to the wider Fundraising and Communications Directorate across events, different income streams, and communications projects as we work to achieve our targets in excess of £3.6m. • Support the Corporate Partnerships Account Manager to deliver challenging events, digital fundraising and volunteering. 
• Support the Fundraising and Communications directorate in the development and delivery of events, including the London Youth Awards, site visits, lunch and learns, Born Ambitious, and the AGM. 
• Support the Fundraising and Communications directorate in the development and implementation of a new income stream.

We're looking for a strategic and relationship-focused fundraiser with experience leading complex, high-value fundraising campaigns. You'll be equally confident working with major donors, senior colleagues, Trustees and volunteer leaders. While initially focused on The Art Works, you will have a longer-term remit to help shape future capital fundraising priorities that emerge from our strategic ambitions. Reporting to the Head of Development, you will:

• Provide excellent strategic management of capital fundraising campaigns across the organisation, with an immediate focus on The Art Works as well as responsibility for supporting the planning and delivery of future campaigns, including the Mound Level Galleries redevelopment and other major capital priorities.
• Contribute to the development of long-term capital fundraising strategies, campaign plans and prospect pipelines to support future organisational priorities beyond The Art Works, ensuring continuity of donor engagement and campaign readiness.
• Translate campaign strategy, timelines and gift table requirements into clear delivery plans and actions across teams.
• Monitor progress toward income and activity targets, identify variances early and recommend tactical adjustments based on internal insight and external conditions.
• Lead the development and maintenance of campaign reporting, including dashboards, risk logs, income phasing and governance papers.
• Engage directly with major donors, trusts and foundations to cultivate, solicit and steward high-value gifts, working with senior colleagues, Trustees and Campaign Board members as appropriate to maximise outcomes.
• Oversee and direct cultivation and stewardship activity across the capital campaigns team, ensuring delivery of agreed fundraising strategies and a structured and strategic approach to progressing prospects and delivering income targets, while working closely with the wider Development team to ensure a coordinated and consistent approach to donor engagement.
• Expand the philanthropic prospect base by identifying new opportunities and supporting approaches to high‑value or discreet funders.
• Oversee the preparation of high‑quality briefings, materials and follow‑up for senior‑level donor meetings and solicitations.
• Coordinate all donor hospitality activity for the campaign, liaising with colleagues across the Development team and other teams as required, including events, briefings, site visits and other cultivation opportunities.
• Lead the implementation of donor recognition and stewardship frameworks, ensuring consistent, high‑quality supporter experiences.
• Ensure operational readiness for the public phase of the campaign, coordinating colleagues across Development, Communications and Visitor Experience to create effective giving pathways and engagement opportunities.
• Provide day‑to‑day direction to the Development Manager – Capital Campaigns; the Campaigns Coordinator and other team members (to be brought in on a temporary basis as required at key campaign stages) to support high standards of documentation, planning and internal communication.
• Promote collaborative, inclusive working practices across the team and wider organisation.

Who we are looking for
To succeed in this role, you’ll need the following range of knowledge, skills, and experience:

• Significant leadership experience in capital or multi‑year fundraising campaigns with £multi-million targets.
• Experience of developing and sustaining a portfolio of high net worth prospects at 5, 6 and 7-figure levels including discreet and invite-only funders.
• Experience modelling and managing fundraising cash flow, campaign pacing and income phasing across multiple fundraising priorities, ensuring alignment with organisational and project delivery requirements.
• Ability to expand donor networks at local, national, and international level.
• Strong presentation and writing skills, with the ability to influence, articulate complex ideas and inspire support.
• Experience planning and delivering high‑quality cultivation events and donor engagements.
• Strong understanding of fundraising sector trends, major donor behaviour and the philanthropic landscape.
• Experience working closely with senior stakeholders, including Directors, Trustees, volunteer fundraising campaign board members and other high‑level advocates.
• Strong knowledge of UK charitable giving and tax considerations relevant to fundraising.
• Highly motivated, with the ability to act on initiative while exercising good judgement about when to involve others.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, with confidence interpreting financial, pipeline and performance data.
• Experience using CRM/database systems such as Spektrix or similar.

Planned Maintenance

Undertake general maintenance including:

• Minor plumbing repairs.
• Minor carpentry repairs.
• Decorating and painting.
• Furniture assembly.
• Repairing fixtures and fittings.
• Replacing door furniture and locks.
• Replacing light bulbs and lamps.
• Clearing blocked gutters.
• General DIY repairs.
• Garden and grounds maintenance.
• External cleaning.
• Maintaining pathways and entrances.
• General building repairs within competence.
• Minor electrical maintenance within the limits of training, competence and organisational procedures, referring regulated electrical work to appropriately qualified contractors.
• Replace plug tops and fuses on portable equipment where appropriately trained.
• Carry out visual inspections of electrical equipment.
• Assist external contractors during servicing and repair works.

Facilities Compliance

Carry out and record routine statutory compliance checks including:

• Weekly Fire Alarm Tests.
• Emergency Lighting Tests.
• Monthly Legionella temperature monitoring.
• PAT Testing (following appropriate training).
• Intruder Alarm Tests.
• Fire Door inspections.
• First Aid box inspections.
• Accident book monitoring.
• COSHH cupboard inspections.
• Water hygiene monitoring.
• Daily building safety inspections.
• Monthly facilities inspections.
• Health & Safety monitoring.
• Record all compliance checks accurately.
• Report any non-compliance immediately.

Health & Safety

• Work in accordance with all Health & Safety legislation.
• Follow QCCA Health & Safety policies.
• Follow Lone Working procedures.
• Follow Manual Handling procedures.
• Follow Working at Height procedures.
• Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Report accidents, incidents and near misses.
• Support risk assessments.
• Ensure safe systems of work are followed.
• Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are understood.
• Maintain safe access and egress throughout all sites.

Security Responsibilities

• Act as a key holder where authorised.
• Lock and unlock buildings.
• Operate intruder alarm systems.
• Monitor CCTV where required.
• Ensure buildings remain secure.
• Challenge unauthorised access where appropriate.
• Report security concerns promptly.

Customer Service

• Welcome visitors, hirers, contractors and members of the public.
• Provide a professional and courteous first point of contact.
• Assist customers with enquiries.
• Answer incoming telephone calls.
• Take accurate messages.
• Direct enquiries to the appropriate member of staff.
• Support community events where required.
• Build positive relationships with hirers and partner organisations.

Administrative Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance records.
• Update inspection logs.
• Maintain electronic compliance records.
• Complete basic data entry.
• Use Microsoft Office and organisational software.
• Send and receive work-related emails.
• Monitor stock levels.
• Order cleaning materials, maintenance supplies and equipment using approved online purchasing systems.
• Maintain inventory records.
• Assist with booking preparation where required.
• File maintenance certificates and compliance documentation.
• Support reception and administration during busy operational periods.

Cleaning Responsibilities

• Undertake general cleaning where required.
• Inspect cleaning standards across all buildings.
• Ensure kitchens, toilets and communal areas remain clean and safe.
• Remove waste and recycling.
• Maintain cleaning stores.
• Monitor cleaning supplies.
• Support deep cleans where required.

General Responsibilities

• Work across all QCCA sites.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests.
• Carry out reasonable duties consistent with the role.
• Attend staff meetings.
• Attend mandatory training.
• Undertake additional training in Health & Safety, Legionella Awareness, PAT Testing, Fire Safety, COSHH and First Aid where required.
