About the role
At Breast Cancer Now, we’re looking for a creative and proactive media and PR officer to join our ambitious team, as we continue to leverage our being the ‘go-to’ press office for breast cancer and position the charity as ‘determined leaders’ in our field.
This varied and exciting role plays a critical part in helping the charity build its profile through effective and compelling PR and media relations. The post holder will plan, deliver and respond to opportunities across all areas of the charity’s work, from highlighting our world-leading breast cancer research and raising awareness of our public health messaging to promoting our fundraising appeals, brand development, support services and supporting our policy and campaigning work.
The post holder will work closely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including people with lived experience of breast cancer, our nurses, researchers, and corporate partners, alongside building strong and trusted relationships with national and regional journalists to secure high-quality targeted media coverage. Every day will be an opportunity to make a positive difference for anyone affected by breast cancer.
About you
An excellent communicator, you’ll have a strong working knowledge of the UK’s media landscape and experience of delivering impactful results in a fast-paced environment.
You’ll be innovative, creative and sensitive in your approach to raising the profile of the charity and all its areas of focus, bringing fresh ideas to engage the media and always ensuring patient voice is at the heart of our work.
You’ll be confident in building trusted, influential relationships with journalists and leverage compelling coverage across all national, consumer, regional and tradeprint, broadcast and online media through these. You’ll collaborate with internal colleagues from across the charity to deliver powerful results, and work closely with external partners, researchers, and service providers. You’ll also play a pivotal role in supporting the smooth running of the media and PR team, including through being responsible for the day-to-day liaison with external suppliers (eg media monitoring) and overseeing the collation of information for key reports (including CEO report to Board of Trustees).
With an instinct for what makes a good news story, you’ll be adept at juggling priorities and deadlines and thrive in an exciting and fast-paced press office, where you’ll be well supported by our talented and welcoming team.

OSUK is seeking a Partnerships Manager to play a pivotal role in its growth strategy, managing and expanding corporate partnerships while identifying and securing new business opportunities. You will drive strategy and delivery across corporate fundraising, and line manage the Partnerships Officer, who delivers community fundraising.
This is a highly strategic role with the opportunity to focus on high-value, relationship-led partnerships rather than transactional activity, supported by an experienced Director of Partnerships and strong organisational networks.

- Experience managing and developing high-value relationships (five-figure to six-figure)
- Strong new business skills, including pipeline development, prospecting and closing deals
- Experience balancing account management with new business activity
- Ability to develop compelling proposals and partnership plans
- Strong relationship-building and influencing skills with corporate stakeholders
Desirable:
- Experience managing income streams of £300k+
- Line management experience or readiness to step into management
- Experience working across multiple sectors (e.g. healthcare, retail, brands)

About the role
The Fundraising Strategy & Operations Team deliver the Fundraising strategy and provide high quality operations to support the Fundraising Directorate. The team has a variety of different functions including Supporter Care, Strategic Liaison with Service teams, Compliance, Supporter Journeys and Communications as well as general administration. This role will be managing the Supporter Care team of three people.
About you
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience of working in a busy supporter care environment, working to tight deadlines
- Experience of writing donor correspondence and creating data capture guidance
- Proven experience of supporter care campaign management including creating clear processes and flow charts and managing, negotiating and liaising with suppliers.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan and manage a variety of projects and activities to tight deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills, along with the ability to develop strong working relationships with external suppliers and internal departments

The Trusts and Foundations (T&F) Officer is an integral part of the Philanthropy team, managing relationships with high value supporters. The Role
Having launched our Youth Adventure Programmes in Somerset in 2024, we are now looking for somebody who wants to take the next step in their fundraising career to build on the foundations of the last two years and significantly increase our presence in the county.
As our Regional Corporate Fundraiser, you'll be the driving force behind our local business partnerships, working with both large companies operating in the region and smaller local businesses looking to support their communities.
Your role will encompass:

Relationship building: Identifying and securing new corporate partnerships while providing high-quality stewardship to our existing Somerset-based supporters.

The Charity
At the Youth Adventure Trust, we use outdoor adventure to empower vulnerable young people from Swindon, Wiltshire and Somerset to fulfil their potential and lead positive lives in the future. We work with them to build resilience, develop confidence and learn skills that will last a lifetime, helping them to face the challenges in their lives. Dedicated support, guidance and mentoring from our staff and volunteers ensures young people receive the maximum benefit from our long-term intervention. About the Role
The Head of Fundraising & Membership will be an experienced professional fundraiser responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive fundraising and membership strategy to grow and diversify sustainable income for the British Science Association across its portfolio of programmes.
A central part of the role will be leading development and delivery of the membership and fundraising strategy for EDIS (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in Science and Health), a national membership coalition hosted by the British Science Association (BSA) delivered in partnership with the Francis Crick Institute and funded by the Wellcome Trust.
Working closely with the Director of Development & External Relations, Chief Executive and other colleagues across the organisation, the postholder will lead fundraising and business development activity, strengthen BSA supporter engagement, and EDIS organisational member engagement, and help shape resilient income models that support the BSA’s mission to ensure that all of society is included in science.
Key responsibilities
Develop and deliver the BSA’s fundraising strategy
- Develop the BSA’s fundraising strategy, working with key stakeholders, and create an accompanying implementation plan, KPIs and milestones.
- Monitor and report on the delivery of the fundraising strategy to the Senior Management Team and Board.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to support the delivery of the fundraising strategy.
Develop and grow membership of EDIS (Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion in Science and Health)
- Develop and deliver the EDIS membership strategy, including an implementation plan with clear KPIs and milestones
- Work closely with the Head of EDIS and wider EDIS team to develop a compelling and sustainable membership offer and pricing structure (from year 3 of the programme) for current and prospective organisational members .
- Develop and deliver a membership growth plan, and work closely with the EDIS team to oversee member communications, engagement campaigns and retention strategies.
- Work with the Head of EDIS and other colleagues to develop additional earned income streams that complement membership (such as sponsorship or paid-for training).
Lead, support and champion the Development team
- Foster a strong, collaborative team culture for the BSA Development team, reflecting the values of the BSA and of EDIS, and inspiring the team to develop and contribute to the fundraising strategy and the BSA’s and EDIS’ mission and vision.
- Work collaboratively with teams across the BSA, encouraging all teams to support the organisation’s fundraising and income generation activities, as appropriate.
- Deputise for the Director of Development & External Relations, when needed.
Lead on our fundraising activities and donor engagement
- Lead and provide oversight on high-quality applications and bids to corporates, trusts and foundations, statutory sources and other funders, working closely with Development team members and other colleagues.
- Lead the development of high-value strategic partnerships, including multi-year and/or multi-programme partnerships, aligning funder priorities with organisational impact.
- Lead on the BSA’s donor stewardship plans, ensuring timely and effective reporting to funders as well as a strong supporter experience.
- Ensure there is a comprehensive pipeline of funding bids with a clear prospecting plan for the BSA.
- Work closely with the Head of Education and wider team to develop and deliver fundraising approaches that complement earned income for the BSA’s flagship CREST Awards programme.
- Work closely with the Director of Development & External Relations, CEO, Trustees and other colleagues to help build strong relationships with prospective donors and high-profile stakeholders, by providing timely briefings for donor meetings to support senior level engagement.
Develop our processes and systems to allow for effective fundraising and membership
- Lead on our fundraising Customer Relationship Management (CRM), ensuring that fundraising and membership relationships are captured, updated and shared in a timely and consistent way across the organisation.
- Develop compelling cases for support and fundraising collateral, working closely with programmes, communications, policy and other teams across the BSA.
- Ensure that our fundraising complies with the highest fundraising standards, as set out by the Fundraising Regulator, Chartered Institute of Fundraising, Charity Commission of England & Wales, and other relevant bodies.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising, including securing significant grants and/or contracts, managing a complex fundraising pipeline and stewarding funders during a partnership and experience in developing and implementing successful supporter/member engagement strategies.

About the role:
This role supports the delivery of stories and campaigns that achieve media coverage nationally and in regional media that fall outside of our hospice catchment areas.
You will lead on PR support for some key areas of the charity, including retail and volunteering.
You’ll also gain exposure to all the teams that the press office supports, which includes writing press assets for fundraising, healthcare, bereavement and influencing/campaigning stories.

The Role
This is a pivotal role within our fundraising team. You will be the person who makes sure our systems work, our income is correctly recorded and reconciled, and our data is handled with care and integrity.
You will work closely with fundraising and finance colleagues, and with the CEO, to ensure that our data not only meets regulatory requirements, but supports better decisions, stronger relationships and increased income.

Key Responsibilities
CRM & Data Management
- Own and manage HorseWorld’s CRM system, ensuring data accuracy, integrity and usability
- Act as system administrator and lead on any future development or upgrades
- Produce reports and insights to support fundraising performance and decision-making
- Support colleagues to use the CRM effectively through guidance and training
Data Protection & Compliance
- Work with the CEO to ensure compliance with GDPR and relevant fundraising regulations
- Act as a key point of contact for data protection queries and audits
- Maintain clear processes, documentation and staff understanding of data responsibilities
Fundraising Operations & Financial Reconciliation
- Reconcile all fundraising income through the CRM with the Accounts team on a monthly basis
- Ensure all income streams (online platforms, standing orders, events, etc.) are accurately recorded and monitored
- Support fundraising activities and events with data and financial processes
Gift Aid
- Manage and improve Gift Aid processes to ensure efficiency and compliance
- Submit accurate monthly claims and maintain robust records
- Ensure readiness for HMRC inspection at all times
Lottery Administration
- Record and monitor lottery income
- Complete required returns to the Gambling Commission
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements
