As the Fundraising Manager you will work to maximise the available funding, income generation and activities for the work of F6IT.

About the role
This is a pivotal leadership role, supporting the Chief Executive and Board with organisational development, risk oversight, and the consistent delivery of high-quality, person-centred services.
This executive leadership role shapes the strategic direction of Emerging Futures, overseeing HR, Quality, Safeguarding, and Performance functions. It drives organisational strategy across people, culture, innovation, and service delivery, ensuring alignment with the charity’s values and sector trends in substance misuse and homelessness.
Key responsibilities include leading HR strategy—covering recruitment, workforce development, staff wellbeing, inclusion, and compliance—and overseeing quality assurance, clinical governance, and safeguarding to ensure robust risk management and continuous improvement.
The role also leads the development of outcome measurement frameworks, promotes data-driven decision-making, and collaborates with operational leaders to support service innovation and performance. Externally, it represents the organisation in strategic forums and partnerships, while internally fostering integration and supporting cross-functional initiatives.
This role is home based, however as you are leading remote teams across the country, very regular travel to EF sites/offices will be required.
About you
You will have proven senior leadership experience in HR (ideally at Head of HR or Director level) in the voluntary, housing, health, or social care sector. You should also have:
- Level 7 CIPD Advanced Diploma in Strategic People Management or equivalent, plus relevant experience
- Strategic understanding of workforce, service delivery, and governance issues in substance use, homelessness, or complex needs sectors
- Demonstrated success in embedding quality and assurance frameworks across complex, dispersed services.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, regulatory compliance, risk management, and performance improvement frameworks.
- Track record of driving organisational culture change and operational excellence.
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills, including Board-level reporting.

About the opportunity
As Assurance Assistant, you'll be part of our Finance & Assurance directorate, working within a team committed to being the Society's single point of truth. This is an excellent development opportunity for someone interested in building a career in assurance, risk management, or business continuity within a mission-driven environment.
You'll support the delivery of internal audit engagements, risk management activities, and business continuity arrangements that help the Society operate with confidence and integrity. Working alongside the Assurance Data & Insights Specialist, you'll help monitor recommendations, track progress, and support the team's administrative processes. This is a role where attention to detail meets meaningful impact, where your contribution helps protect the charity's ability to fund groundbreaking research and provide vital support to people facing dementia.
You'll be involved in a diverse set of activities. From contributing to audit projects and supporting risk assessments to helping improve team processes and staying aware of sector best practices. About the opportunity
As an Assurance Officer, you'll work in partnership with colleagues across Alzheimer's Society to deliver professional, credible, and valued assurance and counter fraud services. This is a role where your technical skills directly contribute to strengthening the Society's governance, risk management, and control processes, enabling better decision-making and ultimately the successful achievement of our objectives.
You'll be part of our Finance & Assurance directorate, working alongside the Assurance & Counter Fraud Manager to complete risk-based, value-adding assurance work. From conducting internal audit engagements and evaluating the effectiveness of controls to supporting our counter fraud framework and keeping abreast of sector best practices, you'll play a vital role in helping the Society operate safely, legally, and ethically.
This is an opportunity to use your internal audit experience in a mission-driven environment where partnership, collaboration, and continuous improvement are valued. You'll work with stakeholders across the organisation, providing pragmatic recommendations that enhance our operations and reputation while contributing to a year-end audit opinion.
About you:
You're a part-qualified internal auditor or CCAB accountant with proven experience of successfully delivering assurance projects. You understand internal audit methodologies, risk assessment, and control frameworks, and you can plan, test, and document assurance work to deliver credible and timely audit opinions. You're skilled at drafting professional, clear reports that provide real value to stakeholders.
You'll have:
- Part-qualified status as an internal auditor or CCAB accountant.
- Proven experience delivering internal audits, including planning, testing, documentation, and writing reports that stakeholders find genuinely useful.
- Solid understanding of audit methodologies, risk frameworks, and control environments.
- Strong communication skills that balance assertiveness with building relationships and influencing colleagues at all levels.

- Delivering professional internal audit arrangements that reflect the organisation's risk profile.
- Helping develop and embed the strategic direction of internal audit, including new ways of working and conformance with professional standards.

- Evaluating and providing assurance that internal processes and controls are designed and operating effectively to mitigate risks.
- Providing solution-focused, pragmatic recommendations for improvement.
