Cats Protection is launching its first Superstore format, offering customers an exciting destination for both fashion and home. With a significantly larger footprint than a traditional charity shop, the Superstore will provide an enhanced shopping experience, a wider product range, and greater opportunities to raise funds for cats and kittens in need.
As Assistant Shop Manager, you will support the successful day-to-day running of the Superstore, leading volunteers, driving stock generation, delivering excellent customer service, and deputising for the Shop Manager to help maximise sales and drive performance.

What we’re looking for in our Assistant Shop Manager (Superstore)
Demonstrable experience of working in a retail environment, ideally within a fast-paced, high-volume or multi-department operation.
Good understanding of sales targets, budgets and key performance indicators
Experience of cash reconciliation and financial controls, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to motivate, support and manage a team of employees and volunteers.
Competent IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, email and retail systems.

About the team
The Philanthropy Team raises income for Impetus and for Impetus partner charities. The team consists of 15 staff. Impetus has an annual income of c.£11 million which we are looking to grow significantly within the next few years. The team is led by two Directors of Philanthropy and Partnerships.
The Philanthropy Team works with major donors, corporates and grant making trusts, as well as collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to ensure we make a compelling case to generate new financial commitments and wider support for our work. The team also deliver a high-quality engagement programme of volunteering and pro bono for Impetus’s corporate supporters.

About this role
The Development Director (New Business) provides strategic leadership for Impetus’ new business development, prospect pipeline and high-value funding opportunities. The postholder will have responsibility for identifying, cultivating and converting new corporate, trust and foundation, and high-net-worth donor relationships, as well as continued relationship management for key, established relationships.
In 25/26, the Philanthropy and Partnerships team generated £11m in philanthropic income, alongside £2.8m in probono contributions. The Development Director will play a key role in delivering Impetus' growth ambitions, helping to increase philanthropic income to £14m by 2029.
Working closely with the Director of Philanthropy and Partnerships, the role will translate the fundraising strategy into clear new business priorities, pipeline plans and prospect engagement approaches, ensuring a strong flow of qualified opportunities and sustainable growth in high-value income.
Working closely with colleagues across Philanthropy and Partnerships, the postholder will personally lead and support significant six and seven-figure prospects and strategic funding opportunities, while overseeing the stewardship and retention of current partners.

About the role
Your key purpose will be to lead the day to day operation of our brand-new Twickenham charity shop, a new and exciting opportunity to shape the success of a shop from the very beginning while making a meaningful difference to the families supported by Shooting Star Children's Hospices.
You will manage Assistant Shop Managers and a team of volunteers to maximise income, deliver exceptional customer service, and maintain high retail standards. About you

The OUT Side OUT Spoken Navigator supports male survivors and survivor allies as they prepare to leave prison or another secure setting and rebuild their lives in the community. The role provides intensive, trauma-informed support shaped around each person’s individual circumstances, including completing risk and needs assessments and developing a tailored support plan. You’ll help people navigate challenges around housing, healthcare, benefits, employment and community connections, working closely with prison, probation, health, social care and other partner agencies. The aim is to reduce barriers; strengthen stability and ensure people continue to feel supported throughout the transition from custody into the community.
About You
You’ll have experience of providing one-to-one support or advocacy to people with complex needs and be comfortable working with trauma, risk and the challenges that can accompany release from custody. Experience within criminal justice, mental health, housing, social care or community services would be particularly helpful, as would an understanding of sexual harms affecting boys and men. You’ll be able to build trusting relationships while maintaining clear professional boundaries, manage competing priorities and work confidently with a range of partner agencies. Role Overview: The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of The Vavengers Charity. Working closely with the CEO and Board of Trustees, the COO ensures the organisation operates efficiently, sustainably, and in accordance with its charitable objectives, governance requirements, and legal obligations. The COO will oversee the charity's day-to-day operations, work closely with the CEO to improve organisational systems and processes, manage operational risks, and support the delivery of high-quality frontline, campaigning and convening programmes while fostering a positive and inclusive organisational culture. Alongside the CEO and other team members, the COO is an inspiring leader who champions the charity’s values, elevates its profile, and steers its work to influence national and international policy and advocacy, engage communities, and support survivors of violence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Support the CEO in delivering the charity's strategic plan.
Translate strategic priorities into operational plans and measurable outcomes.

Operational Management
Lead the day-to-day operational management of the charity.

Manage the resources and visitors of Vavengers HQ and ensure the space is utilised effectively by ambassadors and members of the charity

Ensure compliance with charity law, employment legislation, safeguarding requirements, data protection regulations, and relevant regulatory standards.
Support the CEO and the Board of Trustees through timely reporting and implementation of governance decisions.

Financial Oversight
Work alongside the CEO and Treasurer to develop and monitor the annual budget and management accounts/cash flow.

Actively participate in income-generating activities, including supporting grant applications, other fundraising initiatives, and partnership building.

We are looking for an experienced Chef to help run our busy onsite catering service. You will prepare and serve safe, nutritious meals, maintain high professional and food-safety standards, and help organise the day-to-day work of the kitchen.
