The post holder will be responsible for managing their own clinical caseload. This role involves the assessment and delivery of appropriate high-intensity psychological interventions to individuals presenting with common mental health difficulties within an NHS Talking Therapies service.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical

Accept referrals in line with agreed service protocols.

Conduct assessments and deliver therapy via telephone, video consultation and face-to-face appointments.

Deliver High Intensity CBT treatment in both individual and group formats (as agreed).

Assess suitability of referrals in accordance with departmental protocols and refer clients to alternative services where appropriate.

Formulate, implement and evaluate evidence-based treatment plans.

Involve family members and carers in treatment where appropriate, communicating formulations sensitively and in accessible language.

Promote access to psychological therapies within peripheral settings. For example, therapists working in GP surgeries will attend practice meetings, build effective working relationships with primary care teams, and ensure promotional materials are readily available for both professionals and members of the public.

Liaise with other psychological therapy services to enhance collaborative working and improve service provision for local residents.

Plan and coordinate appropriate packages of care, communicating effectively with internal and external professionals to support continuity and transfer of care where required.

Undertake risk assessments, develop risk management plans, and initiate appropriate action when indicated, including referrals to secondary care and safeguarding services.

Collect and record outcome data using the TALKING THERAPIES IAPTUS system, ensuring accurate documentation of clinical contacts, records, and care pathway progression.

Ensure care is delivered within the stepped care framework in use within the service.

Adhere to the service operations manual and relevant policies and procedures.

Take proactive responsibility for meeting agreed clinical activity targets, including therapy contact hours.

Contribute to clinical governance processes within your area of practice under the supervision of a Senior Therapist.

Develop a specialist clinical interest area (e.g. PTSD, OCD, Long-Term Health Conditions, Perinatal Mental Health, Eating Disorders, Social Anxiety). Specialist focus may evolve in line with service needs and continuing professional development.

Participate in clinical audit activities, including analysing service user feedback and presenting findings verbally and in writing.

Attend regular clinical supervision (individual and/or group) within the service.

Be our cyber security awareness champion and link with the external IT support team on any suspected cyber incidents, phishing attempts, data breaches, or system vulnerabilities.

Purchase, install and configure new IT equipment and software in line with organisational needs, budget, and security requirements.

Support staff with installing and using approved software and digital tools, providing guidance and basic training as required.

Purpose of the job:
Management and leadership of the PCS Finance Team and the provison of strategic financial advice to the National Executive Committee and other bodies.

Main duties and responsibilities
1.People Management
- Manage work allocation and workflow, future planning and support for Finance Team and Director of Central Services
- Motivate and manage individuals and the team as a whole to provide a high standard of service to develop and improve the skills and efficiency of the Finance team
- Check work standards and maintain consistent quality of delegated tasks
- Seek to continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the team
- Through induction, the appraisal system and one-to-ones, identify staff training and development needs, train or organise formal/informal training for the Finance Team

4.Finance Systems
- Manage the introduction, implementation and continuous monitoring of a new finance system to provide effective budget management at every level of the union
- Provide detailed financial data and reporting, including management accounts and strategic advice, to the National Executive Committee/Senior Management Team
- Provide straightforward access to budgets for all budget holders to facilitate better planning and cash flow management
- Ensure resources are optimised to enable good decision-making across each command area
- Review and update where necessary current audit processes to ensure compliance with the Trade Union Certification Officer
- Provide investment oversight, forecasting, and asset management to the Director of Central Services, and produce relevant information to support spending and investment decisions

5.Operational Management
- Oversee and ensure the integrity of the unions transaction processing at all times
- Ensure all liabilities are recorded, payments made, receipts banked and ledgers managed in line with best practice
- Ensure all service level agreements are adhered to by the Finance department, and developed where necessary
- Ensure data protection adherence and finance systems are secure
- Assist the Director of Central Services in managing relationships with suppliers
6. Group and Branch Funding
- Oversee PCS work with Special Member Auditors to ensure the completion of union group and branch audit procedures in line with rules and Finance Committee requirements
- Provide assistance to group and branch treasurers, including training courses
- Provide reports as required for the Finance Committee
- Ensure expenses are paid in line with Service Level Agreement requirements
7. Finance Training and good practice
- Participate in the dissemination of financial knowledge across the union. Organise and participate in periodic financial training programmes for budget-holders, treasurers and members
8. Communication
- Draft complex communications including briefs, reports, business cases, for internal and external stakeholders
- Draft papers, policies and regulations in relation to financial management
- Communicate with members by producing circulars and briefings, and by addressing meetings and conferences etc
- Represent PCS where necessary and liaise with outside professional bodies such as auditors
- Provide financial information as required by other areas of the Union, in particular treasurers, or other bodies

ABOUT THE SAÏD FOUNDATION
The Saïd Foundation was established as a non-sectarian and non-political charity in 1982 by Wafic and Rosemary Saïd to bring positive and lasting change to the lives of children, young people and the wider community with a focus on the Levant region of the Middle East and on the UK, and on education as a powerful tool to make change. It is governed by a Board of Trustees and the Board’s Student, Projects, Audit and Investments Committees. Khaled Saïd has just become Chair of the Board.
Since 1984, our longest-standing programme, the Scholarships Programme, has offered opportunities to outstanding individuals with leadership potential to be drivers of positive change within our target countries of Syria, Jordan, Lebanon and Palestine. JOB DESCRIPTION
Job purpose:
To lead a small, motivated team in the best-practice implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Foundation’s programmes and grants and to build strong relationships with the Foundation’s Trustees, partners and scholars.
Responsibilities:
1. Programme and grant management
a) To oversee the management of the scholarships programme, ensuring the selection of outstanding students from the Levant region and the Foundation’s duty of care to them while they are in the UK.
b) To oversee the Foundation’s grant-making programmes, ensuring that grants agreed by the Trustees are informed by rigorous due diligence and are monitored effectively.
c) To provide guidance as necessary to the Board and staff of the Saïd Foundation for Development in Syria on governance and project management matters.
d) To oversee the evaluation of the scholarships programme periodically, and grant-funded projects as necessary, to ensure they achieve their intended objectives and apply learning to their improvement.
2. Organisation and staff management
a) To devise and implement annual plans for implementation of the Foundation’s work, define the level and timing of human and other resources required to deliver the plans and develop key performance indicators to report progress against plans to the Board.
b) To foster a supportive work culture, managing staff in line with best human resource practice and ensuring high levels of motivation and strong performance.
c) To recruit staff, when necessary.
d) To oversee the effective operation of all office systems, including IT and the scholarships platform and database, and introduce improvements (for example, in the use of AI).
e) To ensure that health and safety aspects are taken into account appropriately when the Foundation’s staff, students and Trustees are travelling in connection with the Foundation’s activities.
3. Governance and Trustees
a) To meet regularly with the Chairman to ensure he is fully informed of developments and to support planning for Board and Committee deliberations.
b) To engage Trustees actively, drawing on their expertise to enhance the work of the Foundation, and report to them regularly on the Foundation’s work.
c) With the help of other staff, to make recommendations to the Foundation’s Committees on their focus areas and ensure high quality papers for Board and Committee meetings and timely follow up of action points.
d) To remain up to date with developments in charity governance and regulation to ensure that the Foundation follows best practice and is compliant with regulations.
e) To identify key risks to the Foundation’s funding, operation and reputation, ensuring that controls are in place for their mitigation and their inclusion in the risk register.
4. Financial, accounting and investment matters (with the Financial Controller)
a) To ensure that accurate annual budgets for the Foundation’s programmes, staff, administration and property management costs are approved by the Trustees and that cash flow projections support decision-making on the timely funding of the Foundation.
b) To ensure that monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts provide all necessary information for accountability and management purposes.
c) To oversee rigorous internal controls for the Foundation’s payments and receipts.
d) To support the Investment Committee in ensuring the effective management and secure custody of the Foundation’s financial and property assets and monitoring of the performance of these investments.
5. Saïd Business School Foundation (SBSF)
a) To ensure that all Strategic Development Fund (and other) grants meet the objectives agreed with the School and monitor the impact of the grants through the School’s reporting.
b) To oversee high-quality reporting to SBSF’s Board of Directors and its Committees including on the overall development and performance of the School.
c) To monitor the continuing fulfilment of undertakings made to SBSF by Oxford University so that any departure from these undertakings can be assessed by the Board.
d) To ensure that all SBSF’s accounting and other regulatory requirements are met.

a) To represent the Foundation externally at events and meetings and ensure that its own events provide a warm, welcoming and inspiring experience for invitees.

- Work with the Community Fundraising Team to evaluate the next best ask and proactively contact supporters with promoting fundraising and campaigning products for new and existing supporters
- Support all new Individual Giving and Supporter Care activities
- Provide excellent customer service to existing and potential new supporters offering an empathetic and supportive service via the main telephone line, email and general correspondence
