We are looking to recruit a dynamic person for the role of Charity Manager, who will develop and shape our charity for the future. You will lead our dedicated team and have overall responsibility for running the Charity.

You will manage the Charity on behalf of the Trustees, co-ordinate a team of seven staff, support volunteers, ensure excellent standards of animal care are maintained and develop our fundraising and community engagement work. You will also be responsible for budgeting, compliance, health and Safety ensuring the charity is safe, welcoming and well run.

You will work on behalf of the Board of Trustees to develop a coherent strategic business plan, reporting regularly on operations and planned objectives.

The Trust of St Benedict’s Abbey, Ealing, wishes to appoint a Safeguarding professional as a permanent position to continuously ensure that Ealing Abbey and its works are comprehensively assured to be safe environments for all.

The post is to be the Safeguarding lead responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding across all activities of Ealing Abbey. It is to promote an effective culture of safeguarding that protects the health and wellbeing of everyone who comes into contact with the Abbey, ensuring they can live free from harm and abuse. It is to support victim survivors, helping to bring their voices to the forefront in all our safeguarding work.

The role is to assist the Safeguarding Trustee, providing strategic leadership, policy oversight, governance, and cultural development in safeguarding. It is to ensure compliance with national legislation and the “One Church” Approach of the Catholic Church of England and Wales articulated through the Catholic Safeguarding Standards Agency (CSSA) within the safeguarding framework of the Abbey charitable trust.

This part-time role allows for flexible working hours appropriate for fulfilling the responsibilities outlined in the job description. There is the possibility for hybrid working.

Effective management of clergy housing and glebe assets is critical to supporting mission and ministry across the Diocese which covers Coventry, Warwickshire and part of Solihull.

NSDAS is a specialist, survivor-centred charity formed as an independent Charitable Incorporated Organisation in 2024 following a period hosted by Citizens Advice. We provide confidential practical and emotional support to adults and children affected by domestic abuse across Elmbridge, Epsom & Ewell and Spelthorne, delivering helpline and email advice, advocacy, safety planning, refuge and housing pathways, recovery programmes and targeted work for children and young people. Our practice is trauma-informed and feminist in outlook, foregrounding safety, confidentiality and the lived experience of survivors.

We are a small, specialist organisation with an average headcount of around 18 (approximately 15 frontline staff and three support roles), supported by a committed cohort of volunteers. Since independence our trustees have prioritised governance, compliance and capacity building; in our first independently reported year total income was c.£932k and trustees view the near-term financial position as stable while planning prudently for the medium term. This interim appointment offers the chance to lead NSDAS through consolidation and prepare the charity for its next strategic phase.

As our next Interim Chief Executive Officer, you will:

• Strategy & Impact: Develop and deliver a clear 12-month operational plan, with pragmatic milestones and measurable outcomes that align with trustee priorities and service needs.

• Governance & Finance: Strengthen governance and risk reporting to the Board, maintain oversight of day-to-day financial control and cashflow, and support the Treasurer in preparing budgets and regular management reports.

Who you are

• A seasoned senior leader with proven executive experience in a small to medium-sized charity or comparable organisation (c.8–20 staff; turnover circa £0.5m+).

• Demonstrable experience of leading organisations through change or transition while maintaining service continuity.

• Strong people leadership skills with experience managing sensitive HR matters, staff wellbeing and clinical/therapeutic supervision arrangements.

• A track record of successful income generation and relationship management with funders, commissioners and statutory partners.

• Financially competent with experience of budgetary control, reading management accounts and reporting to trustees.

• Excellent communicator, credible at both operational detail and strategic discussion, with highly developed stakeholder engagement skills.

• Knowledge of domestic abuse and trauma-informed approaches is essential (practical experience in the VAWG sector strongly preferred).

The Trustees of John Wesley’s New Room seek an Executive Director to lead the organisation into the next exciting phase of its development. Our small staff team has undergone significant change in the past year to align with the future needs of the organisation. John Wesley’s New Room is the oldest Methodist building in the world (Grade I listed) and is a small but busy place where no two days are the same. Offering a chapel, museum and cafe by day, we also have meetings rooms and event spaces for hire, and welcome visitors both local and international on a regular basis. An important piece of Bristol’s history, the New Room is where Methodism started and the museum and collection tell the story of John Wesley. In addition, we manage a second museum Charles Wesley’s House, a short walk from the main site, which is mainly used for tour groups.

Mortlake Community Association is looking for an experienced Interim Director to join a vibrant and inclusive local charity in London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. The main purpose of the role is to maintain our growing profile as a community hub and support our range of varied activities. Experience of working with service users and volunteers in a local community setting is essential. The post is offered on a fixed term 9 month contract, starting in May 2026 to align with our Director’s maternity leave.

• 25 hours pw - Hours are flexible but we will require this post to be on site at least 3 days per week. 

The Interim Director is responsible for the effective day-to-day management of the charity and Mortlake Hall, including staff leadership and supervision, financial management, fundraising, partnership working, building management, and monitoring and evaluation. The role requires strong leadership and relationship-building skills to ensure MCA remains at the heart of community life in Mortlake; recognised as a model of good practice within the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. 

Key Accountabilities: 

• Work with the Board of Trustees to implement the vision and strategic direction of MCA. 

• Take overall responsibility for the operational management and day-to-day financial management of the charity and Mortlake Hall. 

• Work closely with current Director of MCA in run-up to maternity leave and maintaining contact, especially during the statutory Keep In Touch days (KIT). 

• Maintain relationship with existing funders for the charity and ensure timely, accurate reporting. 

• Oversee building and facilities management, working closely with the Building & Facilities Subcommittee. 

• Ensure that the local community is engaged with the work of MCA through ongoing consultation, discussion and community planning activities/events. 

• Respond proactively to changes in the voluntary, statutory and wider sectors to ensure the charity’s sustainability while maintaining its identity and independence. 

Essential experience: 

• Senior leadership or management experience within a charity, voluntary, community or not-for-profit organisation. 

• Experience working with, reporting to, or supporting a Board of Trustees or equivalent governance body. 

• Proven experience of managing and supporting staff and volunteers. 

• Demonstrable experience of securing funding, including writing successful funding bids and managing funder relationships. 

• Experience of budget management and financial oversight, working closely with a Treasurer or finance lead. 

• Experience of overseeing projects or programmes, including monitoring, evaluation and reporting. 

• Experience of managing buildings, facilities or community assets (or the ability to develop this quickly). 

Desirable experience: 

• Experience leading a community centre or multi-use community facility. 

• Experience of partnership working with local authorities, statutory bodies and community organisations. 

• Experience of organisational development. 

• Knowledge of Mortlake community and/ or the voluntary sector within the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.

Severn Arts has been through significant transformational change since its inception and has accomplished a great deal through diversifying into large-scale project delivery, community engagement and music projects aimed at providing access for all to high-quality experiences that are sustainable and life-affirming. We are in year two of a new three-year business plan period and the potential to grow our offer and increase our impact is great. Joining at this time in our history would enable the right candidate to have significant influence in taking the charity forward.

Main purpose of the role: To provide leadership to the organisation working with the Senior Leadership Team to develop, deliver and evaluate our agreed strategic business plan; promote growth and sustainability, and foster a positive, inspiring work environment that empowers our teams to deliver our vision and goals.

• Lead the charity’s vision, values and strategic direction working closely with Trustees to ensure a resilient, ambitious organisation that connects communities through creative endeavour and engagement.
• Support the Chair of Trustees to ensure that the Board and sub committees are equipped and informed, enabling effective and appropriate governance.
• Drive the successful development of income generation through successful fundraising and partnership development to ensure Severn Arts' sustainability.
• Work with and support the Director of Operations and Resources to develop and implement an informed financial plan and be accountable for the annual budget.
• Build and maintain key relationships with stakeholders locally, regionally, and nationally and be an ambassador and spokesperson for the organisation.
• Work and negotiate with strategic funding partners to ensure that outcomes and KPIs are aligned and delivered for the benefit of our audiences and users and for the long-term sustainability of Severn Arts.
• Provide leadership across the organisation and ensure Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access is embedded into all aspects of our work, team, and offer.
• Ensure a joined up, supportive working environment that sets out clear values, encourages creativity and contributions from everyone and enables the staff team, volunteers and our Board to flourish and thrive.
• Overall responsibility for adherence to all company policies and working practices.
