About the role
This is your chance to make your mark as Design and Brand Manager at the Francis Crick Institute one of the world’s most iconic biomedical research centres, home to over 1,500 leading scientists and a large public gallery space with a rolling programme of exhibitions and events.
For 12 months, you’ll be the creative heartbeat of our Digital and Creative team, setting the standard for design excellence across everything from public exhibitions and scientific reports to internal signage and branded campaigns.
This is a dynamic, hands-on role that sits at the creative core of the Crick’s communications. You’ll collaborate closely with our marketing team to shape visual identities for flagship exhibitions and events, lead design projects for branded materials like brochures and reports, and create impactful internal signage and communications.
Central to the role is refreshing and rolling out our brand identity, ensuring it remains bold, relevant, and consistent across all touchpoints. You’ll manage our in-house studio, oversee science illustration and printing services, and build a trusted network of freelancers and agencies to expand our creative capacity. With a deep understanding of how to tailor design for diverse audiences, from scientific peers to the public, you’ll be the go-to expert for visual strategy and execution across the Crick.
The role is ideal for someone with a strong background in design and brand, with a creative flare and is able to identify and seize upon strategic opportunities. It would suit an experienced middleweight designer, ready to step up to a more senior role, or a senior designer looking to take on a new challenge.
What you will be doing
As a Design and Brand Manager at the Crick, you will:

Produce on-brand, accessible and high-quality design and creative materials which meet the needs of the Crick’s varied audiences.

Manage the Crick’s visual brand identity – including rolling out our newly refreshed brand identity – ensuring it stays fresh, relevant and consistent.

Develop and implement internal processes for teams across the Crick.

Manage design projects from concept to completion.

Oversee the work of agencies and freelancers who are producing design and creative assets, from initial briefing to obtaining final sign-off.

Produce and maintain a contact base of agencies and suppliers who can produce high-quality design work in accordance with our brand guidelines

Be the Crick’s go-to for best practice in creativity and design, advising teams across the Crick with their creative output.

Horizon scan for latest updates and innovations in design tools and practice in order to formulate and incorporate best-practice into our processes and templates.

Continually evaluate our design and creative output, seeking out, absorbing and incorporating feedback into our outputs and processes.
About you
You will have:

Demonstrable experience at middleweight or senior designer level – in-house, freelance or agency;*

Strong understanding of design and brand principles – typography, colour, layout etc.

A portfolio of original, engaging and creative ideas developed within a professional environment for successful brand design projects across various media that demonstrate an eye for detail, creativity and experience of art direction;*

Assistant Centre Manager
Role to cover: Bookings, Marketing & Administration
Report to: Centre Manager
Responsible to: Vicar and PCC
Place of Work: St Pauls Church, Hills Road, CB2 1JP
Full time: 37.5 hours per week, Monday- Friday with capacity to work occasional evenings and a maximum of 2 Saturdays out of 4 each month, if needed. Time off in lieu applied.
Flexible working is possible with core hours being 10am-3pm. This will be discussed on a case-by-case basis and discussed with the Centre manager at the beginning of each week.
Holiday: 25 days per year plus bank holidays.
This is very much a hands-on role and will be suited to a candidate with sales, marketing and administration experience. This role is a significant and essential one for St Paul’s Church and Community Centre.
This role has two clear functions. Firstly to take the lead in room hire and bookings for the church. It is vital in this role for the business to be run with professionalism and skill, maximising the income for the church. The post-holder will develop a clear business strategy with support from the Centre Manager and commercial trustees. The business strategy should be mindful of the wider mission of the church and its community interests. An element of the position is event coordination, to help plan and run events, weddings, and to support external hirers with logistics and setup.
The second function of the role is marketing and communications. The post-holder will be responsible for helping to promote not just the commercial side of the business, but St Paul’s Church and Community Centre as a whole. This means developing an approach across social media, the physical building, the website, and other avenues to communicate the wider vision of St Paul’s. This will be done in consultation with the Centre Manager, Vicar, other staff members and with the PCC.
The role is the engine of the church, providing the necessary income to run the building, employ staff and help run the community programmes. You will be proactive and a self-starter, actively looking for business and ensuring all marketing has been produced and published accordingly. You will lead on the production of physical and digital assets and enable the updating of our website.
Experience in property management and with working in the 3rd Sector would be beneficial but not mandatory.
Report to:
The assistant centre manager is a key role in the life of St Paul’s Church. Working closely with the Centre Manager, other staff and volunteers, the postholder is essential to the smooth running of all our operations. The postholder works across the church and centre programmes but with a particular focus on bookings and marketing.
Role Description
Commercial:
• Be the lead on managing the commercial bookings from the initial enquiry all the way to the end of the booking, dealing with any queries or issues arising.
• Ensure that bookings are well-managed and appropriate for the spaces and facilities offered. Be available to work some Saturdays and evenings in order to facilitate out of hours and larger weekend events.
• Respond to bookings enquiries on email, via our website, on the phone and in person with a customer-focused professionalism and skill.
• Work with the Centre Manager and Vicar to ensure the appropriateness of bookings and cross-referencing with the church diary and community programme.
• Make and complete bookings on our Midas (or similar) booking system, detailing as much information as possible to be able to share with other members of the team.
• Work with the Centre Manager and Vicar to ensure the appropriateness of bookings and cross-referencing with the church diary and community programme.
• Administer all booking invoices in line with our agreed commercial terms, including deposits, and ensure clear paperwork/ communication for the book-keeper. Chase bad debts when necessary.
• Support the review of booking rates (including benchmarking), terms & conditions and commercial policies, conducted by the trustees.
• Bring in new business to the centre by reaching out to past, present and new clients to increase bookings.
Marketing:
• Be responsible for marketing St Paul’s Church and Community Centre, including physical and social media content. Be proactive in designing posters, flyers, banners and other promotional material, working with external designers and printers when needed.
• Advertise and promote the centre spaces for hire, working with the centre manager and commerce committee to maximise income.
• Ensure that both our physical and digital assets are within brand guidelines, professional and that they promote St Paul’s Church and Community Centre in a positive way.
• Oversee the website and ensure that it is up to date; oversee any new website design project. Enable other staff members to edit the website and support our social media.
Other:
• Be a team player who communicates and works well with our volunteers, the staff team, the commerce committee and vicar.
• Support the Centre Manager in the day-to-day operations of running the church and centre, including parish administration, practical tasks and liaison with external contractors, as necessary.
• Be involved in and support special projects, church events and community programmes e.g. ArtsFest.
• From time to time, you may be required to undertake tasks outside the specific tasks listed above.
• Ordering general supplies for centre such as cleaning and kitchen equipment.
• This job description should be read in conjunction with your contract of employment which always takes precedence.
• Be hands on if needed to assist centre manager in managing facilities and occasionally need to help with the setup of the mid-week church services.

Hours of work
- Your normal hours of work will between 9am and 5pm (35 hours per week). Some flexibility of working hours may be required in accordance with the needs of the charity.

Probation
There will be a six-month probation period.
Notice Period
Two calendar months on either side, after a satisfactory six-month probationary period. During probation, notice will be one week either side.

The Events Officer will be responsbile for delivering a wide range of events to our members such as training courses and the annual conference, and must be a highly organised and enthusiastic individual working in collaboration and partnership with one other part time Events Officer. Job Purpose
The Digital Transformation Lead will spearhead the implementation of the Cathedral’s Digital Strategy. Working closely with the Cathedral Leadership Team, Heads of Department, and wider stakeholders, this role will lead the integration of digital systems, improve data management, drive operational efficiency, and support audience engagement through technology. This role is part of the Global Fundraising Directorate of over 50 staff, consisting of Philanthropy, Individual Giving, Legacies, Digital, CRM and Brand teams, based internationally, primarily in the UK (HQ) and our six other fundraising markets in the USA and Europe.
About the Role
As our Senior Legacy Marketing Manager, you’ll lead the strategic development and delivery of Compassion in World Farming’s legacy marketing programme across the UK and internationally. This is a vital role within our Global Fundraising team, offering the opportunity to help shape a sector leading legacy strategy, that inspires supporters to leave a lasting gift for farm animals and the planet.
As part of this exciting role, you’ll be responsible for all UK legacy marketing communications, from direct mail and digital campaigns to events and supporter engagement, ensuring our messaging is compelling, compassionate, and aligned with our values. Internationally, you’ll help to support the fundraising teams in six key markets (France, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, USA, and Poland) to deliver locally relevant legacy campaigns, providing strategic guidance, content, and training.
About You
To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be a confident and strategic legacy marketing professional, with a proven track record of delivering impactful campaigns that inspire supporters to leave a very special gift. You’ll need to have a deep understanding of legacy fundraising, ideally gained within the charity or NGO sector, and be comfortable working across both UK and international markets.
You’ll need be highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented, with outstanding copywriting and creative skills. You will know how to craft compelling messages for direct response and be confident managing multi-channel campaigns. You will need to be able to work in a collaborative manner and skilled at engaging supporters with sensitivity and care. You’ll be comfortable managing budgets, suppliers, and data, and have a strong grasp of CRM systems (ideally Salesforce).
