Job Description
The Individual Giving Manager will build a programme with enormous growth potential. Working closely with the Director of Fundraising and colleagues across the charity, you will develop the Individual Giving strategy for Heart Research UK, establishing a robust programme of donor acquisition and supporter development, while focusing equally on supporter experience and retention to inspire long-term giving.
The Individual Giving Manager will be comfortable balancing strategic thinking and planning with hands-on delivery. They will have experience in using audience insight, data and continuous testing to identify the channels and products that deliver the greatest long-term value. They will focus on establishing a test, learn, tweak, test again culture that is driven by evidence, insight and return on investment.
Given the nature of the role, it will require the postholder to be able to manage their time and workload effectively across a variety of tasks, while actively contributing to our work to generate income and achieve our targets.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced CRM and data professional who enjoys hands-on responsibility for systems, process improvement and data management, and enabling colleagues to deliver exceptional fundraising, marketing and supporter engagement activity. Working closely with teams across the charity, you will ensure our CRM remains effective, compliant and fit for purpose while helping us better understand and engage our supporters. Your work will directly contribute to our ability to raise funds and support our life-saving mission.
This role can be offered on a fully remote basis, with the option to work from Perth Airport, where SCAA headquarters are located or our Aberdeen base at Aberdeen Airport, if preferred. Occasional travel to our Perth base will be required for the successful candidate. SCAA supports flexible and hybrid working arrangements—our current approach typically includes two office days per week for those working on a hybrid basis. The usual hours and days of work will be Monday to Friday, 9am—5pm.
About You
Essential
Proven experience managing CRM systems in a charity or fundraising context and being comfortable working with large datasets.
Experience with data segmentation, ETL processes, transformation and import / export processes.
Strong understanding of data protection legislation (e.g. GDPR).
Understanding of Gift Aid regulations and charity fundraising compliance.
Confident using query tools and an understanding of query-based data extraction.
Strong IT skills with competency using the MS Office suite and Excel in particular.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and support non-technical colleagues.
Ability to analyse and translate data into clear findings for campaigns and reporting, including donor value analysis.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Supporter Engagement Manager position is a pivotal role in the Public Fundraising team, comprising seven specialist Fundraisers. The post-holder is responsible for driving growth in our Individual Giving programme through a mix of acquisition and retention campaigns.
Key internal relationships include the Head of Supporter Engagement and the Fundraising Management team.
The post-holder will work closely with the Fundraising Data Manager and the Community Engagement Manager on collaborative income generation and Supporter Engagement activities.
The post-holder will be instrumental in shaping the Individual Giving and Supporter cultivation strategies geared towards increasing our Cash and Regular Giving Supporter base.
The Individual Giving programme includes Cash Appeals, Regular Giving (including Door-to-Door recruitment), Hospice Lottery, Challenge Events, Legacies and Supporter Care. There is a strong focus on digital fundraising.

About the role:
The importance of this role is key as we rebalance our investment into digital channels to acquire new supporters. The person in this role needs to demonstrate hands-on digital expertise, measurable fundraising impact, strong analytical and project management skills, and compliance awareness. The predominant focus of the role will be investment in and growth of acquisition via digital channels but will also include acquisition via connected and addressable TV, and some offline channels – particularly to support acquisition in an emergency. This role focuses on planning, delivering, and evaluating fundraising activities (primarily, but not limited, to digital) that inspire donors, acquire new supporters, and maximise lifetime value.

With proven experience in digital fundraising or marketing, ideally within the charity sector, you have successfully delivered multi-channel campaigns across paid social, email, PPC, search and web, using compelling storytelling and audience insight to drive supporter acquisition, engagement and retention. Confident using CRM systems, fundraising platforms and analytics tools, you can translate performance data into actionable insights that improve results and maximise ROI. You are highly organised, proactive and solutions-focused, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and compliance with GDPR and data protection best practice. A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills, you enjoy working across teams to deliver integrated campaigns and are always looking for opportunities to test, learn and innovate. Experience with website management, conversion optimisation, marketing automation, or mentoring colleagues would be an advantage, but above all, you are motivated by using your digital expertise to build stronger supporter relationships and deliver meaningful impact.
