Hybrid working with regular travel to our London Bridge Office
What the job involves
Help us make it easier for men affected by prostate cancer to access the support they need, when they need it most. In this new role, you’ll develop and grow new referral and signposting pathways into Prostate Cancer UK’s services, working with NHS clinicians, Trusts and partner organisations to ensure more men and their loved ones get the right support at the right time.
You’ll build strong relationships across healthcare, charities and local services, identifying opportunities to connect people with our support services and putting the right operational and governance arrangements in place to make these pathways successful and sustainable.
Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you’ll test and improve innovative approaches, using data and insight to understand what works best. You’ll play a key role in shaping future service delivery, ensuring our support reaches more people who need it.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys partnership building, innovation and using evidence to create meaningful change for people affected by prostate cancer.
What we want from you
We’re looking for someone with experience working across the UK health system and a strong understanding of cancer care, patient pathways and the role these support services play in improving patient outcomes. You’ll need to be confident building trusted relationships with clinicians, NHS Trusts and partner organisations, and have the curiosity to spot opportunities and test new ideas turning them into meaningful solutions.
You’ll need to be data literate and comfortable using insight to measure impact, improve services and inform decision-making. An understanding of service improvement, health inequalities and the potential of technology to enhance service delivery will help you succeed in this role.
Most importantly, you’ll be a proactive collaborator who works well across teams, communicates with confidence and brings fresh thinking to challenges. Organised, self-motivated and able to manage competing priorities, you’ll be driven by making a difference and committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.
Why work with us?
Every man needs to know about the most common cancer in men – prostate cancer. It’s a real and present danger that takes over 12,000 of our dads, grandads, brothers and friends each year.
Prostate Cancer UK is the largest men’s health charity in the UK. We have a simple ambition – to stop prostate cancer damaging lives. We invest millions in research to revolutionise testing, treatment and care. We’re blazing a trail to a screening programme that could save thousands of lives with regular, accurate tests for all men at risk. And we work tirelessly to spread the word about risk and offer specialist support to people living with the disease.
Work with us and you’ll see your efforts pay off as we give men and their families the power to navigate prostate cancer.
Our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion
At Prostate Cancer UK we’re committed to righting health inequalities across the UK, starting with those faced by Black men. This includes ground-breaking research into Black men's risk and working with communities directly to overcome barriers to the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer. To make this happen, we're dedicated to being an inclusive, proactive organisation, as we strive to be Allies to Black communities. We’ll achieve this by advocating and working alongside those communities to promote change. We're also working to be Allies to each other, not only protected groups. In 2024, we launched our New Allyship Training Programme. All colleagues at Prostate Cancer UK will be trained to act and identify as an Ally.
We've also signed Business in the Communities Race at Work Charter, as a dedication to our Black health equity work and wider EDI priorities. As a signatory, we're responsible and accountable for driving positive change.
How and where we work
Colleagues attend the office at least four days per month (pro rata for part-time colleagues) to collaborate, build relationships, and support projects and decision-making. You can choose where to work the rest of the time. Travel to the office is a commute, so we pay our own travel costs.
Additional in-person attendance will be required during your first few months for induction and training, to support you to learn the role and get to know colleagues.
We trust colleagues to work flexibly while balancing personal commitments with the needs of the charity, and we are committed to making reasonable adjustments for colleagues with a disability, neurodiversity, or a long-term physical or mental health condition.

VISION AND MISSION Waverley Abbey is a new spiritual home for a rising generation, based in one of England’s oldest places of Christian prayer, mission and justice. Today, we fire up believers and tool up leaders to play their part in the renewal of faith in the nation and around the world. We are a house of prayer, providing practical education, exceptional hospitality and sparking innovative enterprise. From the first Cistercian monastery in England to the global ministry of Every Day with Jesus, Waverley Abbey has been a place of Christian prayer, mission and justice for over 1,300 years. Now, in partnership with 24-7 Prayer, we are building a new kind of Abbey: a new spiritual home for the nation and a hub that awakens a generation to transform the story of our times through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
VALUES & CULTURE Our team really is something special. Our people are gold. Our people come from all different walks of life, and it’s this mix of brilliant personalities, experiences and insights that gives us that warm, open and friendly culture you can feel as soon as you meet us. But, however wonderfully different we all are, there are five things we’ve got in common, and they are the Waverley Abbey values. Our values are the key to what makes our culture so unique; they’re a reflection of who each of us is and they’re embedded in everything we do.
