We are looking for an exceptional Events & Operations Manager to lead this new hub, manage a team of two staff, and shape how events and operational infrastructure work together to support Major Donor, Trusts & Foundations, Legacy and Key Influencer programmes.

This role will suit a self-starter who is comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy and who takes genuine satisfaction in shaping a new role around the needs of the team. The postholder will be confident operating in ambiguity, able to take the lead in defining processes, and proactive in establishing clear, effective ways of working.

As Events & Operations Manager, you will:

• Lead the newly established Events & Operations hub within the Key Relationships team, managing and developing a team of two staff while actively delivering across both functions
• Plan, design and deliver high-quality donor-facing events, taking full ownership from briefing and creative concept through to meticulous execution and evaluation
• Deliver capital campaign ask events, donor networking events and supporter access moments for the key relationships team
• Work closely Team Heads to ensure events meet their objectives and are delivered to a high standard
• Work with Executive Directors to ensure they are well briefed when speaking at or attending events
• Lead on systems, infrastructure and compliance including CRM oversight, data integrity, GDPR, income reconciliation, forecasting, reporting and dashboarding in partnership with Finance and Data teams
• Oversee prospect research, pipeline management and performance tracking to ensure the operational backbone is in place for the Key Relationships team to be effective and drive income growth
• This is a hands-on leadership role that will actively deliver across events and operations while leading and developing others

Ideal skills and experience:

• Significant experience planning, delivering and evaluating high-quality donor or stakeholder events across in-person, hybrid and digital formats, with clear evidence of aligning events to cultivation and stewardship objectives
• Excellent project management skills, able to manage multiple complex workstreams simultaneously, meet deadlines, maintain high standards of detail and manage budgets effectively
• Demonstrable experience working in an operations or support role, with responsibility for coordinating systems, processes and infrastructure that underpin fundraising or relationship management activity
• Proven ability to design, improve and embed efficient, compliant systems and processes, including gift administration, data integrity, income reconciliation and structured pipeline management
• Strong experience using CRM databases or similar platforms, maintaining accurate data, overseeing data quality and confidently learning new systems and reporting tools
• Experience of leading and supporting others within a small team, contributing to a collaborative, inclusive and high-performing culture while remaining comfortable with hands-on delivery

Our Facilities team works hard to ensure that every guest visiting Woodrow has a safe and memorable visit. You will be working alongside the wider team to maintain all buildings, including our Grade II listed Manor House and Leisure Centre, and the outside grounds and activity areas, to ensure the site is welcoming, tidy and safe for all. You will assist the Facilities Manager in ensuring we remain compliant with relevant Health & Safety legislation; and will be involved in various duties that contribute to the wider success of the Centre and London Youth. 

What you will be doing 

The Facilities Assistant provides logistical and maintenance support for the Woodrow estate and holds the following core responsibilities. This is not intended as an exhaustive list, and the job may change over time to reflect the changing needs of our centre, as well as the personal development needs of the post holder. 

Grounds upkeep: 

• General upkeep of the 26-acre estate grounds e.g. pruning, mowing, planting, tidying gardens. 
• Keeping grounds, paths and hard surfaces safe and free of ice, snow, leaves, weeds, etc. 
• Maintaining the 3G astro pitch, cycle circuit and outdoor activity areas.

Building maintenance: 

• Undertake day-to-day minor repairs, e.g. patching, painting, leaky taps, hinges, caulking, etc. 
• Undertake cyclical / seasonal jobs e.g. clearing gutters, drains, drain gratings, etc. 
• Support with biomass boiler maintenance and receive woodchip deliveries. 
• Support with basic utilities issues as they arise, e.g. heating, plumbing, electrical, etc. 

Health and safety: 

• Undertake routine safety/compliance checks of all facilities including, among other things, legionella temperature aduits, emergency equipment inspections and tests, etc. 
• Support the FM with risk assessments and work procedures relevant to the role. 
• Maintain accurate records of all work carried out using systems in place for auditing. 

General duties: 

• Basic joinery, carpentry and build projects done in house, under direction of the FM. 
• Supervise outside contractors to ensure all jobs are carried out to agreed standards. 
• Supervise corporate volunteer groups who support us with gardening or build projects. 
• Support with setup and occasional on-the-day attendance at various events.

What you bring to the role 

Experience, Knowledge & Skills 

We do not expect candidates to have expertise in all areas, but at a minimum experience of minor buildings repairs and maintenance and groundskeeping work is essential to this role. Training will be provided to address some gaps where necessary and relevant. 

• Experience with grounds maintenance including tree and lawn care, gardening, etc. 
• Experience of maintenance in heating, plumbing, electrical systems. 
• Demonstrable good practical DIY skills, including decorating, joinery, carpentry, repairs, etc. 
• Experience using power and maintenance tools, including small tractor with mower, jigsaws, strimmers, etc. 
• Demonstrable understanding of Health & Safety regulations relevant to this type of role; the importance of compliance, evidencing and contributing to this.

The role 

The Events Assistant will support our Engagement Officers in the day-to-day coordination and delivery of the events and outreach, such as our Fellas’ Forums and Fellas’ Fairs. Working alongside the Engagement Officer, Engagement Manager, Office Administrator, and wider team, they will assist in the promotion, organisation, facilitation, and evaluation of events and engagement activities, including large-scale events. 

They will support a range of administrative and practical tasks, demonstrating strong organisational skills, the ability to multitask, and confidence in completing delegated responsibilities. This role will require travel across Essex and occasionally beyond. Please note some events will take place during evenings and weekends. 

The Events Assistant will also contribute to wider engagement initiatives, including both traditional and innovative outreach methods, such as digital engagement or film-based activities, supporting project outcomes and community participation. 

Working as part of the HWE team, the Events Assistant will help ensure that events, projects, and activities are well-coordinated, inclusive, and delivered in line with the principles and standards outlined in the HWE Strategic Plan. 

To work with HWE staff, and especially the Business Planning Team, to support the delivery of high-quality and well-organised HWE ongoing forums and events. This includes: 

• project planning, to ensure that the aims, objectives, and outcome plans are in place and that the intended activity is likely to achieve those outcomes; that suitable milestones and monitoring are in place; that budgets are realistic and represent best value; and that risks have been assessed.

ISEAL is looking for an experienced events professional to manage a range of in person and virtual events for its global stakeholder base. This is an exciting role for someone with a strong track record in organising events of differing sizes for in-person, online, and hybrid audiences, and who is interested in sustainability.

Events are a vital part of ISEAL’s work to communicate with, influence, and engage our key stakeholder groups, including policy makers, multilateral organisations, donors, companies, NGOs, producers, and, of course, ISEAL’s own members. To support these aims, ISEAL hosts at least one major public forum, conference or symposium each year. In 2026, this will be a Global Sustainability Symposium and will take place in Accra, Ghana in June with around 200-300 participants. Additionally, ISEAL organises Members´ Week, an annual multi-day event for ISEAL Community Members that typically attracts 60-100 participants per day.

With support from the Events Coordinator, the Associate Manager will be responsible for all aspects of event management for the events described above. The role will also work closely with ISEAL programme teams and senior colleagues to coordinate the development of event agendas, content and sessions.

In addition, ISEAL’s events programme includes a range of smaller workshops and roundtables, both in Europe and in other locations, including China, India, Ghana, Indonesia, and Latin America. ISEAL also runs a busy webinar programme. The Associate Manager will work with senior colleagues to agree the level of support given by the Events Team to each of these smaller events/event series. While the Events Team is not expected to directly organise every event, the Associate Manager will also maintain and develop event planning resources, and guidance to support the organisation to consistently deliver high-quality events.

To succeed in this role, you will have significant existing experience in organising events, ideally including international events for high-profile audiences. Given the range of international events, you will also have a sensitive approach to cultural diversity and, ideally, some additional language skills. This role is responsible for line managing the Events Coordinator.

The key responsibilities we entrust you with

Event management

• Manage the production and delivery of in person and virtual events, with a particular focus on sustainable event delivery
• Implement project management processes to deliver on events, including developing work-back plans and RACI charts, organising and chairing planning meetings, and leading on internal communications
• Lead supplier selection for in person events, collating requirements, researching venues, completing contracting with venue and major suppliers, and communicating event needs to all suppliers
• Coordinate promotion and outreach for events, working closely with the Communications and Membership teams to promote events across all relevant channels
• Oversee registration for events, setting up and monitoring relevant systems & provide internal updates
• Collaborate with senior and programme staff to develop event agendas and content, organising and chairing content meetings, drawing up session schedules and ensuring logistical requirements are met

• Provide excellent customer service to attendees, speakers, and staff involved with events, acting as an advocate for attendee experience
• Deliver internal briefings for staff in the lead up to events and create staffing plans to ensure smooth delivery on the day
• Carry out risk assessments and lead on contingency planning for events
• Track budgets, liaising with budget holders and coordinating with ISEAL finance team about invoicing and reimbursement
• Manage events follow-up such as feedback survey analysis, preparation of post-event materials and reports, and internal evaluation meetings/surveys
• Monitor and report on the environmental impact of events, including waste and GHG emissions, using these learnings to improve event sustainability wherever possible

Event strategy, guidance, policies, and procedures

• Contribute to developing the annual event schedule, including making recommendations based on the event team’s capacity and referring to ISEAL’s strategic objectives
• Maintain and develop event planning guidance, templates, tools, systems, and other resources
• Support the Events & Engagement Manager to maintain and develop event-related policies, including the Event Code of Conduct and the Event Sustainability Policy
• Organise data and maintain relevant mailing lists, including updating contact and attendance records
• Maintain an updated list of venue choices that have high sustainability credentials in key cities where ISEAL may wish to hold small and large events

About the Role

As a Centre Assistant, you will help ensure the effective, efficient and safe running of the visitor centre, retail space and surrounding facilities. You will provide outstanding customer care, recruit members and promote retail opportunities, as well as contribute to achieving financial targets and Key Performance Indicators.

We actively seek to break down accessibility barriers hindering people from visiting the reserve and as such, nurture an inclusive environment. You will play a key role in ensuring every visitor, from individuals and families, to school groups, or visitors with additional needs, receives a positive and memorable experience.

You will deliver high-quality support before and after visits by responding to enquiries via email and social media. Your responsibilities will also include assisting with the preparation of event materials, social media content, and other written communications.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering the highest standard of customer care across both retail and visitor welcome areas.
• Providing a warm welcome and inspiring visitors about the reserve and its wildlife.
• Actively promoting and encouraging support for the RSPB, including membership and retail sales.
• Operating the till, handling payments and following all cash handling and security procedures.
• Maintaining attractive, commercially effective retail displays and appropriate stock levels.

The Royal School of Needlework is the International Centre of Excellence for the Art of Hand Embroidery. Based at the historic Hampton Court Palace, we have been dedicated to preserving and innovating in the art of hand embroidery since 1872. Overview of Role:
To provide operational and administrative support across the RSN’s educational programmes, including the Certificate and Diploma, Tutor Training Course, Short Courses, International Summer School and On Demand Courses.

Main Duties 

The main duties include, but are not limited to: 

General Administration 

• Manage the Education Email Inboxes, responding to queries and complaints as appropriate. 
• Monitor and order stock levels, ensuring supplies are available as needed. 
• Handle the packing and mailing of kits and materials, both nationally and internationally. 
• Support classroom setup for various courses, including Short Courses, Bespoke Classes, and events.

• Maintain a professional and efficient workflow within the Education team.

Key Responsibility: To provide administrative support across the Communities and Inclusion team.

We are seeking a Communities and Inclusion Assistant to support the Communities and Inclusion team at BES. The team works across a range of areas, including grants, membership, volunteering and education to engage with ecology in meaningful ways.

This is a new role within BES and a fantastic opportunity to engage with the world’s oldest ecological society. You will gain experience across multiple areas of the organisation’s work while playing a key administrative support role.

Responsibilities:

Community Groups

We support over 25 active community groups. The role will include:

• Administering the Community Groups inbox and acting as the first point of contact for general enquiries from current and prospective community groups.
• Supporting the BES Community Groups team in their work, including attending monthly meetings and providing meeting notes.
• Assisting community groups with recruitment to their committees.

Grants

We award over £500,000 in grant funding every year. The role will include

• Administering the Grants inbox.
• Supporting the administration of our grant portfolio, including collating of reviewer scores and EDI data monitoring via the grants database.
• Managing the in-house training and travel grant awarding process.
• Attend Grants committee meetings, taking minutes as required.

Membership

We have over 8000 members. The role will include

• Administering the Membership inbox and responding to members enquiries
• Updating and maintaining daily CRM tasks related to joining, renewals, cancellation requests and payment processes to ensure accurate membership data.
• Updating and maintaining accurate Membership KPI tracking.

Main purpose of post  

As the Operations Assistant you will be supporting the Operations Manager in delivering and maintaining effective operational function at the charity. Including but not exclusively, Health & Safety, Premises, Facilities, Vehicle Management, and IT Services.

Key Responsibilities 

Operational Support 

• Act as the first point of contact for premises, facilities, IT and Estates issues across all Weston Park Cancer Charity locations including our Outreach programmes.

• Assist the Operations Manager in maintaining a secure and organised premises and facilities, which ensure colleagues, volunteers and visitors are safe and experience a welcoming environment.

• Support the Operations Manager in the successful delivery of the Annual Operations plan.

• Provide administrative support to the Operations Manager and take minutes in operations-related working groups. 

• Support with updating operational policies and procedures.

• Act as a first point of contact for data related issues, alongside the Operations Manager - following relevant training, to promote a strong GDPR culture.

• Assist in the coordination of charity vehicle fleet maintenance schedules and provide breakdown response support. 

• Assist in the control and coordination of the use of charity space and assets, including liaising with contractors and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals (STH) on relevant matters as required.

• Act as a designated keyholder, responsible for the opening and closing procedure. 

• Manage the operations shared email inbox. 

Site 

• Event site working as required across South Yorkshire. 

• Community working locations to facilitate our work in targeted outreach communities. 

Health & Safety 

• Serve as the first point of contact for all Health & Safety matters, including incidents and accidents, ensuring accurate recording and reporting. 

• Provide operational and administrative support on all Health & Safety matters at our sites and external locations (including external events and the Outreach Service, updating COSHH reports). 

• Assist in the procurement, delivery and recording of mandatory staff training needs. 

• Help establish and maintain safe working practices and policies and undertake basic risk assessments. 

Workwear and equipment 

• Act as the first point of contact for workwear and equipment requests; including being responsible for issuing and returning stock, regular stock checks and ordering stock as required. 

Tech Support 

• Serve as the first point of contact for general IT enquiries. 

• Consult with IT consultants to ensure adherence to processes. 

• Work with the Operations Manager to implement processes that maintain the IT security score.

• Assist in the onboarding and offboarding of employees, including software licenses, logins, and induction training. 

• Serve as lead administrator for key operational software, such as Webex phone system and Vatix Lone Worker App. 

General Administrative Support & Development 

• Handle general enquiries from staff, patients, and volunteers efficiently.

• Manage charity postal enquiries.

• Assist the Operations Manager with the procurement of stationery and consumables.

• Assist the wider team with ad hoc work and undertake small projects that support the charity's work. e.g. Events, Logistical and Tech Support. 

Environmental Advocate 

• Work with the Operations Manager to promote environmental awareness and encourage the charity adopts a green approach (e.g., recycling, energy use, carbon footprint). 

• Identify and implement actions to reduce environmental impacts, costs, and/or increase income under the direction of the Operations Manager. 

Hours: 

• This post may require some flexible working. The charity offers an excellent Time in Lieu policy for hours completed outside of your normal working hours.
