Why Change Grow Live?
Change Grow Live are a health and social care charity. We support people in a huge range of difficult situations, including those who use drugs and alcohol, and those whose home life is affected by drugs, mental health and/or domestic violence. We're the largest charity of this type in the country, supporting tens of thousands of people in their own journeys. Hundreds of staff work across our organisation to support some of the most vulnerable people in society. Among the many services we offer are:
Responsibilities
Our technology
We've got complex requirements: recording, monitoring and reviewing information about our clients, with their informed consent. Our in-house web application acts as an electronic patient record, a case management system, a quality management system, and more - it's grown over the last 15 years!
We started out with a Perl application, and have improved it aggressively over the years. All our software is deployed using Docker containers using ECS; much of it using infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Pulumi. Our data is stored in a serverless/autoscaling MySQL database.
Newer work is often written in TypeScript, using NestJS and SvelteKit. We’ll use a variety of testing tools in both languages: end-to-end, integration and unit testing are all covered.
We practice a genuinely blame-free culture with incidents/mistakes and always focus our conversations on improving processes, not individual recrimination.
We're looking for compassionate, bold, open-minded software developers to help us build this software. Your efforts will empower frontline professionals carry out their life-saving work.
About you!
An ideal candidate will have some familiarity with SQL: our team write queries often!
We’d love to see candidates with some strong knowledge of HTML and CSS beyond the basics. We don't need you to know any frameworks in particular - but we'd love to see great fundamentals for building on the web, so you should have some experience building applications using JavaScript in the browser.
Debugging and testing experience is a must, in any language - we think that's a highly transferrable skill.
Previous experience with Perl is not a strict requirement. We're happy to show you the ropes - you'll be up to speed in no time!
You should really care about security. You’ll be happy to openly discuss approaches which make the software as safe as possible for people who use our services.
You’ll relish – or at least, enjoy the challenge of - diving into legacy code and documenting, improving and testing the code our users rely on. When you choose to rebuild things, it’s because you genuinely understand the previous solution and its shortcomings.
You'll be a curious, generalist thinker, never limiting yourself to one narrow specialty. As a team, we'll jump from CSS to AWS infrastructure in a day’s work. Of course, we don’t know everything: it's a perfect environment for learning; “I don’t know, let me check” is always a good answer.
What we will give to you:
Please ensure that when completing your application form and supporting statement, you reflect on the details outlined in the job description. This will help us understand how your skills and experiences align with the requirements of the role.
If this sounds like you and you’d like to begin your journey with Change Grow Live, then we’d love to talk to you
As we want to get to know you, not an AI tool. Please make sure your application is written in your own words and genuinely reflects your skills, experience and motivation for this role
Direct applications only we will not be engaging agencies for this vacancy.
We reserve the right to close the vacancy early if we receive a high number of applications, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Are you passionate about speaking up for nature?
Do you have the skills and creativity to help us bring to life WWT’s ground-breaking research and on-the-ground conservation projects?
About The Role

Citizens UK
Citizens UK is the UK’s biggest, most diverse and most effective people-powered alliance. We bring communities and local organisations together to work on issues that matter; from campaigning for zebra crossings on dangerous roads, to reforming the immigration system, to the Living Wage campaign. We have a track record of winning change through hundreds of local and national campaigns. We know everyday people have the ability to shape the world around them. We believe that through developing local leaders, we can drive nationwide change and create community-led solutions to big and small problems.
Living Wage Foundation
The Living Wage movement began in 2001, after Citizens UK brought together communities in East London to discuss poverty and low pay. The campaign grew in momentum and soon required a mechanism to recognise employers who wanted to join the movement, which saw the establishment of the Living Wage Foundation in 2011.
Still part of Citizens UK today, the Living Wage Foundation continues to work with community organisations to make sure the voices of both workers and businesses are part of the Living Wage movement. We now work with over 16,000 employers, benefitting half a million people and winning over £3bn of better wages for people who need it most.
Citizens UK works with a broad base of institutions across the political spectrum. At the Living Wage Foundation, we take the same deliberately broad-based approach and accredit all organisations who pay the real Living Wage to their directly and indirectly employed staff and are committed to tackling in work poverty. As a team we work across a range of industries and sectors to achieve this mission. We seek pragmatic coalitions to progress specific campaigns, and partnership around a particular issue such as Living Wage, does not imply an endorsement of broader purpose and policies. We are a non-partisan organisation and work with partners across the political spectrum to advance our mission.
Purpose
The Living Wage Foundation is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Media and Communications Manager to join our team for a 12-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and proactive communications professional with a strong background in media relations, public messaging, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will be experienced and confident in working to tight deadlines, responding to last-minute changes, and prioritising competing demands in a high-profile environment. They will be motivated to amplify the Living Wage Foundation’s mission of tackling low pay and insecure work.
The postholder will lead all media, messaging, and external affairs work, developing and implementing a proactive media strategy that supports our mission and key campaigns, such as Living Wage Week and the annual Rates announcement. As a skilled media professional, you will oversee all communications outputs, ensuring consistency and strategic alignment, while delivering media training and refining key messaging to maximise reach and impact.
In this role, you will be instrumental in advancing our political engagement efforts, building cross-party support and working with political leaders, mayoral teams, and other key stakeholders to promote our initiatives. You’ll manage two direct reports (Events Manager and Media Manager) who each hold line management responsibilities, and you will play a critical role within our Senior Management Team, collaborating closely with the Head of Communications to shape the overall direction of our communications work. This role will work closely with Citizens UK colleagues, including the Citizens UK communications team on cross-organisational priorities. You will report to the Head of Communications.
As a senior leader, you will be responsible for managing and allocating part of the communications team budget, expanding team capacity, and driving the team’s effectiveness. In collaboration with other senior managers, you will help foster a culture that values creativity, innovation, and strategic impact.

Location: King's Cross, London, Hybrid
Who are we?
Art Fund is the national fundraising charity for art. With over 142,000 members, we are leading the way in pioneering support for an inclusive and welcoming museum and gallery sector across the UK.
We work closely with a network of over 1000 museums and respond to their needs and aspirations. We're excited to see how they want to develop: to expand and diversify their collections and workforce, develop curatorial skills, make ambitious acquisitions, and create a welcoming, inclusive space for communities. With the support of over 140,000 members who buy a National Art Pass, patrons, and donors we can provide grants, encourage visiting and advocate for museums' essential role and value.
We have diversity, inclusion, and sustainability central to our thinking and the opportunity to be a force for good, galvanise support and help change things for the better inspires our team.
The role
We're looking for a dynamic and talented Social Media Manager to lead on all things social at Art Fund.
This role is really plugged in to what's happening in museums and galleries around the UK, and our work to support them.
That means you'll spend a lot of time creating video and image content to spotlight great museums and galleries. That helps us grow membership of products like the National Art Pass, and the more members we have, the more museums we can support.
You'll also tell the story of our charitable purpose, through fundraising campaigns, our funding programmes, and high-profile events like Museum of the Year.
All this ladders up to build our brand - which helps us connect more people with great art and culture, and to support more museums and galleries.

Are you a strategic and decisive fundraising leader ready to use your skills and talents so that everyone can know Jesus through the Bible?
At Wycliffe Bible Translators, growth is accelerating, with individual giving up 36% and legacy pledgers doubling to 440 over the last three years. This means supporting more Bible translators, growing local churches, and transforming lives. Remarkably, more Bibles have been translated in the past 30 years than in the previous 2,000. Yet, 1 in 5 people worldwide remain underserved without God’s word in their language.
