At Equal Lives, we're looking for an Independent Living Adviser to join our Suffolk Independent Living Service. This rewarding role supports people who use Direct Payments and personal budgets to arrange and manage their own care and support, giving them greater choice, control and independence.
You'll provide information, advice and guidance on a range of topics including Direct Payments, support planning, recruiting and employing Personal Assistants, and managing support arrangements. You'll work closely with individuals, families, professionals and community organisations to help people achieve positive outcomes and live independently.
We're looking for someone who:

The COO will lead our day-to-day organisational operations, providing oversight across people, services, finance, systems, governance, compliance and organisational development. You do not necessarily need to have been a COO before. Experience within charities, social care, SEND, education or another people-focused organisation would be particularly valuable.
This is an office-based leadership role at our Clubhouse in Suffolk, reflecting the importance we place on visible, accessible leadership and being connected to our members, families and colleagues. The role will also involve travel across Project 21 locations and to external meetings.

About the Role

The Trusts and Foundations team forms part of High Value Partnerships within Shelter’s Income Generation Directorate.

Finance & Board Administration
Financial Oversight: Manage invoice creation, process team expenses, have a good understanding of our overall budget, and pull monthly budget reports from Sage for budget holders.
