Due to internal promotion, Dementia UK is looking for their next Regional Fundraiser to join our Community Fundraising team. It’s an exciting time to join the team as we have recently expanded in response to sustained year-on-year growth and our ambitious five-year organisational strategy. As a Regional Fundraiser you will lead on developing and managing relationships with a great network of supporters across the Wales and West Midlands region — including individuals, community groups, and corporate organisations.
You will play a key role in delivering our community fundraising strategy by identifying new opportunities, nurturing long-term relationships, and inspiring people to take action and raise vital funds. As a Regional Fundraiser, you will proactively build a strong pipeline of supporters, delivering tailored stewardship journeys that deepen engagement and increase lifetime value. You will collaborate with teams across the charity to promote campaigns and events, contribute to regional content and represent Dementia UK at external events and presentations.
Whilst the post is homebased, the ideal candidate will be based in the Wales and West Midlands region, as there is regular travel within this area and to our London head office. A full, clean driving licence and access to a car are also required to meet supporters and volunteers across the region and build strong relationships within local communities. You may have multiple community engagements in one area on the same day, and some locations can be remote with limited public transport options, particularly in Wales.
Wales is a bilingual country, with both Welsh and English used routinely. Whilst the ability to speak and write in Welsh is not an essential requirement for the role, an understanding of the importance of Welsh language and culture is desirable.
We are looking for you to have a background in community fundraising, experience of working in relationship management or new business. You will have an understanding of community fundraising across both relationship management and new business development with proven success of building and sustaining stakeholder relationships.

More about Compass and this role
Compass is a highly ambitious organisation, working to change the way we do politics. With a strong track record of bold and innovative campaigns and a wide network of members, associates and partners, Compass is rapidly expanding its political influence and reach.
This post is suitable for someone who believes in and wants to be part of creating the vision and culture of a good society and wants to work flexibly and energetically to further these goals. Though small in size, the team is supported by a community of partners, allies, members and supporters.
This role is suitable for someone who wants to work hard to develop new skills and is able to learn on the job, even if they haven’t worked in a political role before.
Pay will be £30-33k, London-based, with room for flexible working in terms of hours and location. The team has an office in central London (near Vauxhall) and the likely candidate would need to be comfortable travelling to the office at least 2- 3 times a week.
You will work closely with Compass’ Deputy Director who will offer managerial support and work with you to develop and deepen your skills over time.
The position is full-time and we are looking for someone to start as soon as possible. There is a 3-month probationary period.
Compass is committed to providing equal opportunities to people regardless of background and we actively seek applications from people with backgrounds that are underrepresented in our sector, especially with regards to race and class. We recognise that representation in our sector is not good enough; this makes our politics and our campaigns weaker. As such, we particularly encourage applications from people who can demonstrate the skills, even if they have never worked in this precise field. We welcome people to apply who can demonstrate their aptitude, even if a career in politics has so far been closed off to them.
To apply for this role, please complete the application form here. You will be asked to upload a 1-page cover letter addressing what abilities, skills and experience you believe make you a good fit for the Organiser role, a CV, and to answer two questions related to the position (below).
The application deadline is Monday 31st August 5pm. Initial interviews will be held on Friday 4th September, and the remaining interviews will be held in early September. We may close applications sooner if suitable candidates are found to advance to the next stage of the process, so early applications are strongly advised.
Ambition Aspire Achieve is seeking an exceptional, values-led Chief Executive to lead our much-loved children and young people’s charity into its next chapter.
This is a rare opportunity to lead a practical, relationship-based and strongly rooted Newham charity that makes a real difference to children, young people and families facing disadvantage, vulnerability, SEND, disability or risk.
Founded in 2016 by Kevin Jenkins OBE, Ambition Aspire Achieve has grown from a small number of projects at the Terence Brown Arc in the Park into a well-established charity working across Newham. Today, AAA supports nearly 1,000 children and young people each year through its hubs, with many more reached through outreach, schools-based work and community programmes.
Our work is grounded in the belief that every child and young person should be able to enjoy their childhood, overcome barriers, build confidence and develop the skills and self-belief to achieve positive futures. We deliver a broad programme of support including after-school clubs, holiday programmes, youth clubs, SEND activities, mentoring, outdoor learning, sports, family days, residentials, detached youth work, schools-based youth safety work, community events and targeted family support.
This is an exciting and important moment in AAA’s journey. Following a period of growth, the charity is now focused on consolidation, quality and long-term sustainability. We are financially stable, well regarded and deeply rooted locally, with strong relationships across funders, schools, corporate partners, local agencies and community organisations.
The next Chief Executive will provide clear, steady and values-led leadership, working closely with the Chair and Board of Trustees. They will lead and support the staff team, strengthen organisational sustainability, maintain and develop partnerships, champion safeguarding and inclusion, and ensure children and young people remain at the heart of every decision.
As AAA does not currently have a dedicated senior fundraising post, the Chief Executive will also play a central role in securing and maintaining the income needed to sustain and develop the charity’s work. This will include trusts and foundations, statutory funding, corporate partnerships, individual donors, appeals and wider supporter engagement.
We are looking for someone who can combine strategic leadership with practical operational understanding. You may already be a Chief Executive, or you may be an experienced senior leader ready to step into your first Chief Executive role. What matters most is your ability to lead with clarity, care and resilience; build trusted relationships; secure income; uphold strong governance; and keep AAA’s values at the centre of how the charity works.
AAA’s values are Committed, Caring, Collaborative and Creative. We are looking for a leader who can live these values, promote a positive and inclusive culture, and help ensure AAA remains strong, responsive and ambitious for the children, young people and families who need us most.
This is not a turnaround role, but it is a significant leadership opportunity. The successful candidate will inherit a respected and impactful charity with strong foundations, while also leading it through a more challenging external funding environment and into its next phase of development.
To provide children and young people in the London Borough of Newham with fully inclusive experiences and opportunities to flourish.
