Role Overview:  

The Operations and Facilities Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of Events-run venues and the delivery of safe, efficient and high-quality event environments across multiple parks, community venues and outdoor event sites. The role supports the overall event management function while managing part of the Venues Team and ensuring operational excellence across all spaces. 

This position leads on operational logistics, facilities management and on-site delivery, ensuring venues are compliant, well-presented and fully prepared to support a diverse programme of events. The role is highly hands-on, requiring strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to problem-solve quickly in fast-paced live environments. 

Main Duties/Responsibilities:   

Team & workforce management 

• Line manage Duty Managers and oversee the wider casual workforce including Event Assistants, Security, Caretakers and Cleaners.
• Lead Recruitment, onboarding and ongoing training of casual staff 
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels and skill mix across all events and venues taking responsibility for the rota system
• Ensure effective coordination of rotas and cross-team event activity.

 Venue Operations & Facilities Management 

• Lead the day-to-day operational management of all Events-run venues.
• Ensure venues are compliant, safe, well-presented and fit for purpose.
• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance with central operations teams.
• Oversee venue equipment procurement and asset management.
• Manage venue contractors and oversea repair works in Event spaces.
• Contribute to twice-yearly Council H&S audits. 

 On-Site Delivery 

• Support the Head of Events and Production Team in delivering Enable-Produced Events 
• Provide hands-on operational leadership during live events.
• Deliver full event management of ad hoc or operationally complex events where required.

 Health & Safety  

• Lead on Health & Safety across Events and Venues operations.
• Own and continuously improve operational H&S frameworks, policies and safe systems of work.
• Work alongside the Operations team to ensure venue Risk Assessments are robust and up to date and operationally effective for event spaces
• Oversee contractor compliance including RAMS, insurance and method statements.
• Quality assure weekly, monthly and event-specific H&S inspections.
• Contribute to audits, investigations and incident reviews.
• Embed a proactive safety culture across the Events Team.
• Represent the Events Team on operational and Health & Safety matters, coordinating with central Operations and Council stakeholders as required.
• Provide assurance reporting to senior management as required.

Financial & Commercial Oversight 

• Manage operational budgets and monitor expenditure.
• Update and reconcile supplier costs and credit card logs.
• Seeking quotes for goods and services in line with Enable’s Procurement Code, and raising purchase orders as required 
• Assist with contractor invoice processing and ensure timely follow-up where required.
• Contribute to budget forecasting and cost control.
• Ensuring all timesheets for casual staff are accurate and processed on time 
• Managing supplier performance against SLA’s, monitoring cost control and value for money 
• Carrying out other duties/ projects as directed by the Head of Events

About the Role

As a IDVA you will provide high quality support to victims of domestic violence and abuse. You will deliver and provide support in five key areas to support victims to:

• Feel safer
• Feel informed about their rights and the criminal justice system
• Feel listened to and heard
• Be able to implement healthy coping mechanisms
• Be connected with services who are available to help them

Key Responsibilities:

• You will provide appropriate non-therapeutic support to victims of domestic abuse via their preferred contact method.
• Undertake needs and risk assessments to develop tailored individual safety and support plans to address the specific needs of the victim.
• Use a bespoke case management system to maintain accurate and confidential record keeping and contribute to the collection of outcomes.
• Liaise with the police, social services, CPS, and other agencies on the client's behalf, with the client's consent maintaining confidentiality
• Provide information to victims to enable them to make informed choices about their future options. Ensuring that the voices, needs, rights and legal entitlements of older people are heard and understood by all individuals and organisations.

About You:

Ideally, you will hold an approved and accredited IDVA qualification (or you must be willing to work towards one)

You will need:

• A strong understanding of domestic abuse and violence and the impact this has on victims.
• Experience of working with victims of crime (preferably domestic abuse) including completing risk assessments and safety planning
• Experience of managing a caseload and keeping clear case management records.
• Experience of adapting communication styles to be able to effectively communicate.
• An understanding of trauma informed practice and how to implement this within your work
• A through understanding of the criminal justice system and the Victim's Code
• An understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding and other legal requirements
• Good IT skills including experience with working within bespoke case management systems and using Microsoft Office Packages.
• Organised and methodical approach to work with the ability to plan, prioritise and organise workload

About the role

This rewarding Band 6 Hospice Community Nurse role offers the opportunity to deliver specialist, compassionate care to children and young people with life‑limiting or life‑threatening conditions. You will provide holistic, responsive nursing support across the community, including in family homes, hospitals and wider care settings, ensuring each child receives the right care at the right time.

This role requires experience of delivering high‑quality clinical care and the ability to work collaboratively with Community Children’s Nursing Teams, hospital specialists, palliative care services and hospice colleagues to ensure seamless, joined‑up support for families.

You will be the first point of contact for many families following referral, taking time to understand their needs, explore their understanding of hospice care and guide them towards the most appropriate support. You will provide symptom management, anticipatory guidance and responsive care during periods of uncertainty, and you may act as a hospice key worker for some children, coordinating services to maintain continuity.

You will also participate in a 24‑hour on‑call rota to support children approaching end of life at home, offering hands‑on nursing care, practical advice and emotional support. Working closely with our psychosocial team, you will help deliver truly holistic care for every family.

About you

This role requires experience of working as a Registered Children’s Nurse (Band 6), with the clinical confidence, compassion and communication skills needed to support families facing complex and often uncertain situations. Community or palliative care experience is advantageous but not essential; you will also have the ability to learn and develop specialist skills with the support of our experienced team.

You will be a resilient, adaptable practitioner who can work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, bringing warmth and professionalism to every interaction.

You will also have the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with families and professionals alike, communicate clearly and sensitively, and provide holistic, family‑centred care. You will be confident in assessing clinical needs, responding to changes in a child’s condition and offering guidance that empowers families. As part of the role, there will be opportunities to contribute to educating and supporting other professionals caring for children with complex and palliative needs.

The Role

The Research Policy and Partnerships Officer monitors UK research policy and governance developments, synthesises evidence and supports preparation of clear internal briefings, policy statements and consultation responses.

Reporting to the Research Policy and Partnerships Manager, the role helps ensure the Association’s research portfolio and the Research Academy remain well aligned to national frameworks and governance standards, and that lived experience is appropriately reflected in system facing outputs.

The role also supports the Research Policy and Partnerships Manager in building and maintain partnerships with research funders, medical research charities, academic institutions and health system leaders.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Conduct structured horizon scanning across NIHR, UKRI, REF, AMRC guidance and other charity funders to identify opportunities.
• Maintain a stakeholder and policy activity map; coordinate inputs for meetings with key partners, funders/sector bodies.
• Collate and integrate lived experience evidence in policy work (with Involvement colleagues).
• Support partnerships with research funders, medical research charities, academic institutions and health system leaders, coordinating meetings, shared resources and monitoring commitments and agreements

About You

You will:

• Be educated to degree level in a science, health, social science or related discipline
• Have experience of collaborative working with senior internal and external stakeholders, supporting partnership building in research, clinical and/or voluntary sectors

THE CHARITY 

Suicide is the leading cause of death of men under 35 and three quarters of those who die by suicide are men. James’ Place exists to save the lives of men in suicidal crisis through delivering clinical services. We are a charity currently offering free, life-saving therapy to suicidal men at our centres in Liverpool, London and Newcastle. 
 
James’ Place was set up by Clare Milford Haven and Nick Wentworth-Stanley in 2008 after their twenty-one-year-old son, James, died by suicide ten days after a minor operation. James had no history of mental illness or depression and had sought urgent help for anxiety and suicidal thoughts but didn’t find it.    
 
James' Place was set up to make the experience of finding help as easy as possible. We offer men who are experiencing a suicidal crisis a brief, intensive, therapeutic intervention in a safe environment. Men who walk through the door at James’ Place will be in a space where they feel valued and respected.  We provide a calm and peaceful environment both inside the centres and in our outside spaces, accessible to men who visit us as well as their friends and families. We have so far treated over 5,100 men who might otherwise have been unable to access the support they desperately need.
 
In early 2026 we will be opening our fourth centre in Birmingham. Our new centre in Birmingham will be there to support suicidal men living in the West Midlands.
 
THE OPPORTUNITY 
 
We are seeking an experienced clinician to join us on a Fixed Term Contract to cover a period of maternity leave.
This is a key role in the organisation, leading our James’ Place centre in London and taking overall responsibility for the clinical and operational management of the center. The Head of Centre will lead a team of suicide prevention therapists and will take responsibility for clinical oversight and governance. The Head of Centre is the guardian of ethos, culture and tone of James’ Place. 
 
The role will work alongside the centre manager, overseeing the day-to-day operations, managing budgets and HR, and ensuring the safe and effective delivery of our service.
 
The Head of Centre is also responsible for managing and reporting on the results and caseload in London, ensuring these are communicated accurately and clearly. As the most senior clinician at James’ Place London, we expect you to be responsible for managing your own caseload which may involve up to 20% of your time.
 
The Head of Centre plays a key role in raising the profile of James’ Place London and will work closely with our fundraising and communications team to ensure that we are engaging with a wide range of local stakeholders and partners to drive referrals to the centre.
 
They will work closely with our broad range of referrals partners, including the NHS, community, and charity partners. They will also work closely with our outreach team to ensure that men in crisis can reach us directly.
The role is expected to work highly collaboratively with other Heads of Centre and senior managers to work towards our strategic plan and meet our charitable objectives.
 
The post-holder will be expected to travel to other James’ Place sites to assist in addressing issues as requested.
 
The post holder must have a clear understanding of performance management of teams and individuals in teams and be able to ensure delivery from those they line manage. This will include ensuring that all suicide prevention therapists have minimal caseloads and achieve high quality outcomes.
 
They will also, in collaboration with others, build effective pipelines and networks with local acute trusts, integrated care boards and services in primary care including mental health crisis teams. There will also be an expectation to lead on projects as directed by the Director of Clinical Services. 
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
 
Leadership and Management 

• Act as a senior leader in the organisation, building close working relationships across charity, and ensuring a culture of excellence and improvement in all our work in London.  
• Work closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues in the London centre and across the charity to further our mission to deliver urgent clinical services to men in suicidal crisis. 
• Develop and grow partnership and fundraising opportunities within the changing landscape of mental health provision locally. 
• Oversee management and maintenance of the building through management of the Centre Manager.  
• Lead and supervise the clinical team in London, ensuring that every man who comes to James’ Place receives first class treatment and support. 
• Maintain adequate staffing levels as guided by James’ Place policies and procedures, e.g. sickness absence, performance management.   
• Ensure all staff members receive appropriate and adequate, internal and external supervision and that staff members receive appropriate PDRs and PDPs in line with the needs of the charity. 
• Develop new and existing engagement and referral pathways, ensuring high quality and informed referrals in the centre.  

 
Clinical  

• Be responsible for the clinical activity delivered at James’ Place in London, ensuring the safety of the men who use the service and their supporters.  
• Report on clinical outcomes for London, ensuring timely and accurate data collection and analysis.  
• Manage local clinical governance, including risk assessments, with support from the Director of Clinical Services.
• Report on clinical metrics and wider progress across the London centre on a weekly and monthly basis.  
• Work closely with the Director of Clinical Services to manage evaluation and research, particularly around London for data and outcomes.  
• Act as an expert user of our clinical information system.  
• Ensure appropriate care and management of all service users and their supporters. 
• Carry a clinical caseload (approximately 20 per cent of working time).  
• Create an environment in which confidentiality, privacy and dignity are respected and clear with service users about limits of confidentiality. 
• Ensure that the whole team is aware of and proficient in avoiding stigma and promoting social inclusion, equality, and diversity.   
• Ensure that all staff are trained appropriately in suicide prevention and in the James’ Place intervention model.

• Provide cover for other Heads of Centre if required. 
• Lead incident reviews and ensure appropriate safeguarding of men in our care.

Fundraising and Finance 

• Manage the Centre budget and develop an effective working relationship with our finance team, with support from senior management.   
• Maintain accurate and auditable budget records. 
• Represent James’ Place at a local level, establishing new relationships and continuing to foster established relationships with stakeholders. 
• Represent James’ Place in the media and at events, sharing learnings and promoting our work. 
• On occasion, represent James’ Place at a national level. 
• Work closely and effectively with our local fundraiser and wider fundraising team, to meet agreed targets and KPIs, offering leadership and guidance on a local basis

As an IDVA you will:-

• Ensure that male survivors' safety and housing needs are met by supporting survivors to access safe accommodation
• Provide a pro-active, high quality, frontline service to victims of domestic abuse through on-going risk assessment, individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
• Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse

You will be part of the Young People’s Services Team who provide a range of services and activities for young wheelchair users and their families. General Overview: 

The Events Team is a busy, creative and close-knit group of vibrant professionals who pride themselves on being solution-focused and going the extra mile for clients and partners. 

We are looking for someone with proven venue or events operations experience who is passionate about supporting teams to deliver exceptional events. The successful candidate will be highly organised, detail-orientated and confident working in a hands-on environment — willing to set up spaces, solve problems in real time and step in wherever needed to ensure events run smoothly.

Role Overview:  

The Events Operations and Venues Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of Events-run venues and the delivery of safe, efficient and high-quality event environments across multiple parks, community venues and outdoor event sites. The role supports the overall event management function while managing part of the Venues Team and ensuring operational excellence across all spaces. 

This position leads on operational logistics, facilities management and on-site delivery, ensuring venues are compliant, well-presented and fully prepared to support a diverse programme of events. The role is highly hands-on, requiring strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to problem-solve quickly in fast-paced live environments. 

Main Duties/Responsibilities:   

Team & workforce management 

• Line manage Duty Managers and oversee the wider casual workforce including Event Assistants, Security, Caretakers and Cleaners. 
• Lead Recruitment, onboarding and ongoing training of casual staff 
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels and skill mix across all events and venues taking responsibility for the rota system 
• Ensure effective coordination of rotas and cross-team event activity.  

 Venue Operations & Facilities Management 

• Lead the day-to-day operational management of all Events-run venues. 
• Ensure venues are compliant, safe, well-presented and fit for purpose. 
• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance with central operations teams. 
• Oversee venue equipment procurement and asset management. 
• Manage venue contractors and oversea repair works in Event spaces. 
• Contribute to twice-yearly Council H&S audits. 

 On-Site Delivery 

• Support the Head of Events and Production Team in delivering Enable-Produced Events 
• Provide hands-on operational leadership during live events. 
• Deliver full event management of ad hoc or operationally complex events where required. 

 Health & Safety  

• Lead on Health & Safety across Events and Venues operations. 
• Own and continuously improve operational H&S frameworks, policies and safe systems of work. 
• Work alongside the Operations team to ensure venue Risk Assessments are robust and up to date and operationally effective for event spaces 
• Oversee contractor compliance including RAMS, insurance and method statements. 
• Quality assure weekly, monthly and event-specific H&S inspections. 
• Contribute to audits, investigations and incident reviews. 
• Embed a proactive safety culture across the Events Team. 
• Represent the Events Team on operational and Health & Safety matters, coordinating with central Operations and Council stakeholders as required. 
• Provide assurance reporting to senior management as required.

Financial & Commercial Oversight 

• Manage operational budgets and monitor expenditure. 
• Update and reconcile supplier costs and credit card logs. 
• Seeking quotes for goods and services in line with Enable’s Procurement Code, and raising purchase orders as required 
• Assist with contractor invoice processing and ensure timely follow-up where required. 
• Contribute to budget forecasting and cost control. 
• Ensuring all timesheets for casual staff are accurate and processed on time 
• Managing supplier performance against SLA’s, monitoring cost control and value for money 
• Carrying out other duties/ projects as directed by the Head of Events

Skills and Experience: 

• Previous venue management experience
• Previous line management experience 
• Previous project management experience
• Demonstrable experience of writing Standard and Emergency Operating Procedures 
• Competence using a range of office software, including outlook, excel and databases 
• Excellent written skills with a high level of confidence speaking to people on the phone 
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks/projects against tight deadlines 
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build working relationships 
• Ability to work independently while operating within the wider team structure 
• Confident driver with clean driving licence - required driving in role 
• Able to work flexible hours including weekends, early mornings and late nights

The Operational Lead plays a key role in ensuring the programme runs smoothly and delivers high-quality support for participants.

You will work closely with delivery partners to strengthen referral pathways, support effective programme delivery, and ensure learning and insights help the programme continually improve. You will also support the Programme Director in monitoring performance and achieving programme outcomes.

This is a collaborative role that involves building strong partnerships, using data and insight to inform decisions, and ensuring participants’ voices help shape how services are delivered.

Key Responsibilities

1. Referral, Engagement & Onboarding

• Oversee referral processes across delivery partners to ensure they are accessible, responsive and effective.

• Build and maintain positive relationships with referring agencies and stakeholders.

• Monitor referral pathways, identify challenges and work with partners to improve engagement and flow.

• Identify opportunities to widen referral routes and strengthen links with community organisations.

2. Operational Management & Service Improvement

• Provide operational guidance and support to delivery partners.

• Identify barriers to delivery and work collaboratively to develop practical solutions.

• Support a culture of continuous learning by sharing insights, good practice and emerging opportunities.

• Help embed co-production, ensuring participants’ voices and experiences shape programme design and delivery.

3. Stakeholder & Relationship Management

• Build strong working relationships with local authorities, delivery partners and community organisations.

• Represent the programme in external meetings, networks and partnership forums.

• Encourage collaboration across partners and promote shared learning and innovation.

4. Data, Impact Management & Reporting

• Support delivery teams to use case management and data systems effectively.

• Analyse and interpret programme data to monitor performance and inform decision-making.

• Work collaboratively with the programme analyst to develop clear and meaningful reporting for internal and external stakeholders, including commissioners and governance groups, helping to identify trends, insights and opportunities that strengthen service delivery and outcomes.

5. Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Support quality assurance processes such as case audits, observations and learning reviews.

• Promote high standards of data integrity and ensure data protection requirements are met.

• Work with delivery partners and commissioners to ensure outcomes are accurately recorded and evidenced.

6. External Relations & Community Asset Development

• Support the development of strong local networks and service pathways.

• Identify community assets and resources that can strengthen support for participants.

• Coordinate training, learning opportunities and shared development across delivery partners where needed.
