Role Summary

Our Partnership with Arts Council England 

Julie’s Bicycle delivers the Arts Council England’s Environmental Programme, supporting organisations to embed Environmental Responsibility (ER) within their governance, operations and programmes, and supporting the Arts Council England (ACE) to drive positive environmental change within the sector. The programme focuses on delivering support to National Portfolio Organisations (NPOs) and Investment Principle Support Organisations (IPSOs), as well as the wider creative and cultural sector through a suite of free tools, resources, events and programmes.

Our programme is adaptive, responding to sector needs, insights and learning from delivery. As such, there is a significant opportunity for a collaborative and experienced project manager to deliver strands of work across the programme and to help shape the programme itself in response to learning and insights.

The Environmental Programme broadly includes: 

Sector support: developing resources, running events, facilitating workshops and peer share spaces to deepen understanding and share knowledge on topics relevant to environmental sustainability, tailored for freelance creatives, boards, cultural buildings and cultural practitioners; broadening access to cultural climate practice via creative climate e-learning;

Sector reporting: supporting organisations in reporting their environmental impacts and actions using the Creative Climate Tools - our platform created for cultural organisations and businesses.

Sector leadership: to inspire, develop and nurture sector leadership via a number of dedicated programme strands focused on governance, justice, resilience and decarbonisation.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an outstanding and energetic individual to join our team as a Culture and Climate Project Manager, leading and facilitating key strands of work across the programme in partnership with ACE.

Your core responsibilities will include:

• Annual Report: project managing, writing and delivering the ACE Annual Report. Drawing together both qualitative and quantitative data, case studies and stories of change to create an annual snapshot of environmental activity across the portfolio. You will work closely with the ACE team Environmental Coordinator on this project. Tasks will include:

  • End-to-end project management: Create and manage the production timeline, ensuring the report is delivered on time and meets Arts Council England (ACE) standards.

  • Data Synthesis: Collaborate with the Environmental Sustainability Coordinator to gather, analyse, and interpret both quantitative (carbon data, metrics) and qualitative (narrative progress) information.

  • Storytelling & impact: Coordinate the strategy and team involved in identifying and developing compelling case studies and "stories of change" that demonstrate the real-world impact of environmental activity across the portfolio.

  • Content development: Draft, edit, and refine the report narrative to ensure a compelling, cohesive, and accessible copy. Manage all the contributions to the copy and version control process.

  • Engage with ACE and JB’s comms team for the launch of the report to ensure maximum impact.

• E-learning module/s: Leading and project managing the development of new modules, working across internal teams to co-design and deliver engaging content and a great user experience.

  • Strategic lead: Serve as the primary project manager for the creation of new digital learning assets from concept to launch.

  • Content development co-design & collaboration: Lead on the content development and/or the facilitation of content co-creation with internal teams and expert associates to gather subject matter expertise and ensure content aligns with the programme’s strategy.

  • User experience (UX) oversight: Ensure modules are engaging, accessible, and intuitive for a diverse range of learners.

  • Production management: Oversee the technical and creative delivery of content, managing workflows between designers, LMS developers, and internal stakeholders.

• ACE partnership support: working in partnership with ACE's environmental responsibility team to help embed ER within the organisation, including stakeholder liaison and consultation workshops with area/regional managers.

  • Stakeholder Liaison: Build and maintain strong working relationships with the ACE environmental responsibility team and regional leads.

  • Consultation & Facilitation: Design and lead workshops for area and regional managers to gather feedback and align on ER implementation strategies.

• Programme delivery: Working collaboratively on the delivery of the ACE programme. This will include:

  • Resource development: Conduct research to create toolkits, guides, and practical resources that support the wider ACE programme.

  • Training design: Develop and facilitate training sessions, ensuring content is tailored for both in-person and virtual delivery.

  • Group facilitation: Convene and lead focus groups, stakeholder networks, and leadership sessions to foster knowledge sharing and peer learning.

  • Collaborative team work: Work fluidly across the delivery team to support large-scale program milestones and ensure a high standard and participant engagement.

About you:

You will be passionate about the cultural sector's role in responding to the climate and nature crisis, and committed to embedding values of care, stewardship, justice and collaborative action within it.

Candidates may come from a climate science background and we welcome applications from candidates with non-traditional career paths. You must demonstrate significant project management and partnership experience, combining strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. You will be an excellent communicator with a flexible, solution focused approach, and keen to also contribute actively to the learning and culture of the wider JB team.

Experience And Skills

Essential

• A genuine and demonstrable interest in arts and culture, the role they can play in the climate crisis, and the sustainability challenges facing the sector. This needs to be partnered with a deep and demonstrable commitment to climate justice.

• Significant project management experience (at least 5-7 years), developed across mid-large scale programmes, freelance work, or a combination of both, with strong attention to detail across all stages of delivery.

• Demonstrable experience in leading the development of e-learning or online training, whether through content design, learning frameworks, and/or digital/UX production, or transferable experience and skills that could demonstrate you’ll be able to lead deliver this part of the role.

• A degree in environmental science/studies/management/sustainability or related area, or a cultural degree that includes environmental/sustainability intersections or evidence of equivalent relevant expertise.

• Demonstrable experience of partnership working with external organisations and stakeholders, including facilitation of groups across cultural or environmental contexts. Ideally with cultural practitioners, institutions and funders.

• Experience of running consultation and/or action research with cultural or environmental sector individuals and organisations.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly across different partners and audiences and, ideally, proven ability to translate complex datasets and environmental metrics into accessible, compelling copy.

• A proactive, flexible approach with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and a genuine curiosity and commitment to drawing out learning to support adaptive programme design.

Desirable

• Knowledge of the ACE investment portfolio and/or the wider publicly funded cultural sector

• Experience of successfully managing climate, environmental and/or justice projects, working in partnership with external organisations

• Developed experience working with freelance artists and creative organisations within networks or peer sharing contexts

• Experience of participatory or co-design/collaboration approaches to content development, facilitation and consultation.

Role purpose

The Commercial Income Lead is a senior, entrepreneurial role responsible for shaping, growing and diversifying West Horsley Place’s commercial income.

This is a highly proactive position for a self-starter who thrives on identifying opportunity, creating new sales channels and turning ideas into deliverable, income-generating activity. The postholder will develop and lead commercial strategy while remaining closely involved in hands-on sales, client management and on-site delivery.

The role oversees a broad portfolio including corporate venue hire, filming and photography, third-party commercial activity and estate partnerships. It also provides strategic oversight of weddings and private events, line-managing the Weddings & Private Events Coordinator who leads day-to-day sales and delivery in that area.

Key responsibilities

Commercial leadership & strategy

• Develop and lead a clear commercial income strategy, aligned with the Trust’s charitable purpose and long-term sustainability.
• Identify, test and launch new sales channels, commercial products and partnerships, taking ideas from concept to implementation.

Sales & business development

• Personally lead sales activity for corporate hire, filming/location hire and other non-wedding commercial use.

Planning & delivery

EASST is seeking an exceptional leader to build on the strong foundations EASST has laid by its outgoing founder, ensuring that the organisation’s impact continues to grow and that we remain at the forefront of road safety and sustainable mobility across the region and beyond.

The Director General functions as the Chief Executive of the charity, providing strategic leadership and operational oversight to fulfil EASST's mission and objectives.

The postholder acts as a key ambassador for the charity, ensuring effective governance, sustainable funding and finances, and the development of robust relationships with stakeholders, donors, and the wider community. Terms and Conditions

• Location: Based in the United Kingdom, with the right to work in the UK. The team currently works remotely with no office base.
• Travel: Significant travel may be required both within the region served by EASST and to conferences and other events.
• Hours: This is a full-time post and will require flexibility to meet the demands of funders and the partner network.
• Salary: The salary offered for this post is up to £70K (negotiable) plus 10% pension contribution and 30 days holiday per year.

The post holder is appointed by the Trustees and will report to the Board of Trustees on a regular basis.

PANS and PANDAS are complex neuro-psychiatric conditions which are frequently 

misunderstood and misdiagnosed. PANS PANDAS UK are the only charity in the UK 

working to improve outcomes and ensure brighter futures for people affected by PANS and PANDAS. 

We provide support and information to families, and work tirelessly to inform medical 

practice, raise awareness, engage with medical, social work and educational 

professionals, and much more. 

We are a small team based at home in various UK locations. We keep in touch frequently online and have a warm, supportive and positive culture. 

OVERALL PURPOSE 

The Education Training Development Manager will lead the operational development, and delivery of the national education training programme, ensuring it aligns with organisational priorities and emerging national guidance. The role is responsible for the coordination, growth and quality assurance of PANS PANDAS UK’s national CPD training offer for teachers and educational psychologists (EPs), supporting the development and delivery of high‑quality training modules and strengthening partnerships.

The role reports to and works in close collaboration with the PANS PANDAS UK Education Lead, who retains overall ownership, strategic responsibility and final decision‑making authority for the training programme and the wider education strategy.

Central to this role is working collaboratively with the PANS and PANDAS community and the Youth Advisory Board (YAB) to ensure all training is informed by lived experience.

Key Responsibilities

Programme & Content Development

• Jointly review, update and refine existing CPD materials with the Education Lead, informed by national guidance and emerging research, with the Education Lead holding overall responsibility
• Support development of new training modules and associated materials.
• Explore future delivery models to expand national reach and scalability.
• Identify opportunities for integration of PANS or PANDAS training/materials within University/Initial Teacher Training (ITT) and other relevant programmes.
• Work collaboratively with the PANS PANDAS community and Youth Advisory Board (YAB) to ensure training reflects lived experience.

Trainer Recruitment & Capacity Building

• Recruit and induct additional trainers.
• Support trainer development.
• Maintain consistent quality standards.
• Deliver priority or pilot training sessions when needed to help support programme growth and maintain delivery capacity.

Strategic Programme Oversight

• Provide leadership and direction for the development and delivery of the national education training programme within the strategic framework set by the Education Lead.
• Ensure training content and delivery models align with organisational priorities and upcoming national guidance.
• Lead long-term programme planning, sustainability and continuous improvement.

Partnership Development & Sector Engagement

• Build relationships with MATs, LAs, Universities and other national relevant organisations.
• Work with the charity Communications and Engagement Officer to promote the training models across social media and education networks.
• Attend and present at education sector events and networks to raise awareness of training opportunities.

Commissioning & Income Support

• Develop commissioning packages tailored to MATs, LA’s and other relevant organisations.
• Support pricing structures.
• Identify sustainable income opportunities for the charity via the training.

Quality Assurance & Evaluation

• Oversee monitoring and evaluation processes.
• Prepare reports for the charity as required.

Operational Coordination

• Coordinate scheduling, setup and delivery logistics for all training sessions.
• Manage bookings, confirmations, resource distribution, attendance recording and data collection
• Lead regular training team meetings to support planning and quality assurance.
• Support management and storage of training assets.
• Maintain regular communication with the Education Lead.

About the Role:

The Communications Lead will own GFO’s communications across both the organisation and OxFarmToFork, with a clear brief: to grow our reach, amplify the work of our network, and help translate what we do into income and impact. What You’ll Be Doing 

Communications Strategy and Planning 

• Develop and own GFO’s annual communications plan, covering both GFO and OxFarmToFork, with clear goals, audiences, channels, and success measures. 

• Advise the CEO and project leads on communications priorities and timing throughout the year. 

• Track and report on communications performance, using data to inform decisions about content, channels, and audience engagement. 

• Ensure comms plans meet funding requirements/deliverables for projects. 

Content and Channel Management 

• Write and publish content across GFO’s digital channels: social media (primarily Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook), the website, email newsletters, and blogs. 

• Manage the social media presence for both GFO and OxFarmToFork: planning content calendars, writing copy, scheduling posts, and responding to engagement. 

• Monitor and actively work to grow engagement metrics across key platforms, using platform analytics to understand what’s working and adjust accordingly. 

• Maintain and update GFO’s website, including campaign pages, news, and project updates. Basic CMS work; more significant design or development can be contracted out. 

• Write and distribute press releases and support media relations when opportunities arise. 

Project and Campaign Communications 

• Provide communications support for GFO campaigns across their full lifecycle, from initial promotion through to impact reporting – including the Great Big Green Lunch, the Pumpkin Festival, and the WISH initiative. 

• Develop audience-appropriate messaging for OxFarmToFork, aimed at potential producers, institutional buyers, and the wider public. 

• Support the production of funder reports and stakeholder updates by providing communications evidence and impact content. 

• Brief and manage external contractors for specialist design work as needed. 

Network and Stakeholder Communications 

• Support GFO’s member network communications, keeping network members informed, engaged, and connected to GFO’s work. 

• Help develop and maintain a CRM approach to stakeholder communications, ensuring key audiences receive timely and relevant updates. 

• Contribute to event communications, including invitations, programmes, and follow-up content for events such as the Food Summit and Annual Celebration. 

What You’ll Bring 

• Demonstrable experience in a communications role, with responsibility for content creation and channel management. 

• Strong writing skills across different formats and audiences: social media copy, newsletters, web content, and longer-form pieces. 

• A solid understanding of social media platforms and how to grow and sustain audience engagement, including use of platform analytics. 

• The ability to develop and deliver a communications plan, not just execute individual tasks. 

• Confidence with basic website maintenance using a standard CMS (e.g. WordPress or similar). 

• An organised, self-directed working style – comfortable managing a varied workload with limited day-to-day oversight.

Design skills aren’t essential – we can bring in contractors for specialist work. Experience with email marketing platforms, CRM systems, or SEO would be a bonus, as would a background in the charity or non-profit sector.

As the Head of Philanthropy, Asia, you will play a key role in growing Birmingham’s philanthropic programme in the Asia-Pacific region. The focus will be on increasing six-figure+ giving through the University of Birmingham Hong Kong Foundation and from the wider region.
