Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Community Fundraising Lead to join our team. This role sits at the intersection of
fundraising and communications, working across both teams to leverage our community to generate
income and lead community fundraising campaigns and initiatives. We're looking for someone with a
proven track record in generating community income, who is passionate about the value of creative
and alternative revenue streams, and who will play a vital part in helping us raise the funds needed to

Key Responsibilities

The Role

You would be joining us at an exciting point in our journey as we reach the midpoint of our ambitious five-year Evolve strategy, following the launch of our new identity as the Leadership Skills Foundation. Over the next two and a half years, we will continue working towards our goal of reaching 200,000 young people annually across through education and community leadership programmes, while cementing our position as the trusted voice for leadership skills development.

About the role
This role will contribute to delivering Coram Children’s Legal Centre’s agreed programme of policy work, which focuses on immigration policy, education policy and children’s rights. The post-holder will play an important part in creating policy impact to promote the rights of children in the areas of immigration and education policy. Working with the Head of Policy and Practice Change, the Policy Managers and teams across Coram, the key objective of the role is to deliver policy work that has impact for children and centres the views and experiences of children and young people. The post-holder will work with CCLC’s lawyers, young people, sector colleagues, Government officials, Parliamentarians, the media and wider stakeholders to achieve change for children towards CCLC’s aim of promoting children’s rights in line with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
The role would suit a passionate individual who cares about children’s rights and young people informing policy. The ideal candidate will have experience of volunteering or working at a charity or of advocating for change. We are looking for someone who is interested in policy work in the children’s sector, with a specific interest in our core areas of immigration and education policy and children’s rights. About the role
This is an opportunity to join mySociety, a purposeful charity creating digital services that help break down barriers to democratic participation.
You will provide frontline user support across key citizen services including FixMyStreet, TheyWorkForYou, WhatDoTheyKnow and WriteToThem, as well as managing incoming enquiries to mySociety.
You will manage a varied and high-volume caseload, ensuring users receive timely and effective support while recognising sensitive, high-risk or legally significant cases and escalating them appropriately.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership and Implementation
- Work closely with the CEO, Senior Leadership Team and Board of Trustees to translate Sister System’s strategy, theory of change, operational model and financial plans into clear organisational priorities and coordinated action.
- Play a central role in shaping Sister System’s next strategy ahead of the September 2027 refresh, ensuring it reflects our founding commitment to co-curation, the voices of girls and young women, our evolving three-stage model and our future growth ambitions.
- Lead the development of proportionate planning, monitoring and review processes that enable the Senior Leadership Team to track progress, reflect on performance, identify barriers and remain accountable for delivery.

Person Specification
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and values-led operational leader to join Sister System’s Senior Leadership Team. This role is central to telling the stories that bring Carers Trust’s work to life and inspire people to engage with our mission. Through the creation of high-quality, engaging digital content across social media, video, web and written channels, the Digital Content Officer will help raise awareness of the challenges facing unpaid carers and demonstrate the difference that Carers Trust, our Network Partners and supporters make across the UK.
Working within the Marketing and Communications Team and closely alongside colleagues across the organisation, the postholder will develop and deliver compelling content that supports campaigns, fundraising, influencing and engagement activity. They will gather stories from carers and Network Partners, create and coordinate digital content across multiple platforms, and help ensure our communications remain creative, timely and audience-focused.
The role will also play an important part in ensuring the voices, experiences and achievements of unpaid carers are at the heart of Carers Trust's communications.
