Purpose of the role:

The Manager of Business (Consultancy) will play a key role in ensuring the effective delivery and rigorous quality assurance of a range of business services to clients. Working within a growing, dynamic team, the successful candidate will initially hold oversight of our training and eLearning programmes, with the understanding that this function may be separated from the role as the team expands. They will ensure our range of consultancy and training services are delivered to a consistently high standard, sensitively, with compassion, and with a trauma-informed approach, whilst simultaneously evolving our team frameworks, internal systems, and operational risk controls.

This is a pivotal role that sits at the heart of Unseen’s response to worker exploitation, engaging with business clients, developing avenues to increase our range and quality of services, and supporting a growing multi-faceted team to deliver on one of our priority areas. This role demands a flexible approach to deliver in-depth and complex services to businesses, alongside a sharp focus on mitigating operational, data, and reputational risks. It also requires a confident communicator with a keen eye for detail, but with the ability to step back and see the bigger picture. The role requires an individual with a proven track record of managing, coaching, and delegating effectively to a diverse team while protecting workloads and well-being.

The successful candidate will possess experience navigating complex corporate stakeholder environments, confidently engaging with senior leadership, and handling difficult conversations. Competence in synthesising diverse datasets and using CRM tools to transform data into actionable strategy is essential. An understanding of worker exploitation and human rights risk management in complex value chains is desirable.

About this role:
Care Not Custody is an intervention service in partnership with Sussex Police and Probation, to divert women away from the criminal justice system, by offering case work support through an Out of Court disposal (OOCD) or intervention to prevent a breach of their probation order.

Care Not Custody encourages frontline Police Officers to consider an OOCD in cases where they would normally have charged a woman. Currently, women who receive a Conditional Caution or Community Resolution do not have access to a women specific service in Sussex. Women who agree to the condition will be referred to BWC by Sussex Police for casework support, diverting them away from the formal criminal justice system into a holistic support package.

Care Not Custody works closely with Probation Officers to identify women who are at risk or in breach of their community order or license agreement and offer interventions to encourage women to re-engage.  Care Not Custody staff attend Breach Court to meet with women who are listed in breach, staff work with the women to empower reengagement with their community orders.

The Care Not Custody Caseworker will provide holistic, integrated casework support for women in Sussex, supporting women to navigate and access the services they require to address a range of practical and emotional needs, including helping with signposting, advocacy, and referrals. They will be informed by BWC’s values, policies and procedures and will understand the importance of building trust and self-esteem with service users, to enhance recovery and engagement with BWC and other services while completing all reporting requirements on the BWC database.

Working hours:   This is a full time (35 hours per week) role, but we will consider flexible options depending on service delivery requirements.  Working hours are within normal office hours, 9am-5pm.  Occasional out of hours may be required.

Work location:  Care Not Custody Caseworkers are based Pan Sussex in Sussex Probation, Breach Court and surrounding areas, and in BWC locations in Sussex. About the Role

The Casework Coordinator will provide high quality, person-centred case coordination, advice and practical support to refugees, refugee families and people with no recourse to public funds living in temporary accommodation or transitioning into longer-term housing. The postholder will manage a caseload of individuals and families, undertaking assessments, developing personalised support plans and coordinating access to housing, health, education, financial and other support services to promote stability, independence and positive integration outcomes.

Around the world hundreds of thousands of children struggle to survive on the streets. In many countries, they have become an accepted issue in society, deprived of access to the most basic services and they experience extreme harm before and during their time on the streets.

Wherever they may be in the world, they face violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation. 

Founded in 1996, Railway Children has dedicated over a quarter of a century to developing outstanding practice and services for street connected children. With projects in the UK, India and Tanzania, we aim to reach these children as soon as they are in danger and intervene before an abuser can.  As we embark on our new strategy to 2030, we have ambitious plans to ensure no child is left behind, wherever we work. 

The role 
We are looking for a Youth Outreach Practitioner for our South Yorkshire team and are keen to receive applications from those living in and around Sheffield or Doncaster.  You’ll be part of a dynamic team delivering Railway Children’s programme in the UK, in partnership with British Transport Police (BTP).  

As a Youth Outreach Practitioner, you’ll play a key role in keeping children safe from harm by engaging in patrols to identify and safeguard young people (aged 10-17) at risk of criminal and sexual exploitation, county lines, missing from home, homelessness or family breakdown.  

You will also work closely with our Youth Practitioner, supporting a number of young people who have been identified or referred for 1-1 direct support.

Both aspects of the role will involve working directly with young people and their families to reduce risks, as well as building strong relationships other social care, Police, third sector agencies and local services in the area.  

Your base would be at Sheffield or Doncaster Railway Station with regular travel between these stations plus Barnsley and Rotherham stations and working across these boroughs. This role does involve working regular unsociable hours including evenings and weekends.   

 About you 

You will have experience of successfully engaging and supporting young people and families as well as working in an outreach or similar setting, in a creative and engaging way with young people with a range of needs and vulnerabilities.    

A relevant qualification in an appropriate discipline in working with children and families, community or youth work or equivalent experience is desirable. Alongside this relevant training in safeguarding and/or issues relevant to vulnerable young people and families is essential.    

You will need to have experience of providing front line support to safeguard some of the most vulnerable young people in the UK.   

Experience of developing productive relationships/partnerships with a variety of organisations such as 3rd sector group, local services and statutory services such a social care to support the needs of vulnerable young people and families is a must.

The People Services and Volunteers Partner is responsible for delivering an efficient, responsive and people-centred service across the full employee and volunteer lifecycle. Key Responsibilities 

Services Administration 

• Provide administrative support for the planning, delivery and evaluation of webinars and  online events.

• Support the production and distribution of Fragile Links, including content coordination,  proofreading, scheduling and publication processes. 

• Assist the Head of Services with the administration and project management of  conferences, events and service-related projects. 

• Maintain accurate project records, databases and documentation. 

• Updating information on the website when requested 

• Maintaining records and information on research requests 

Project Administration 

• Provide administrative support for partnership projects 

• Maintain accurate participant and project records in line with data protection  requirements. 

• Coordinate member communications relating to projects and programmes.

• Monitor participation, gather feedback and support project reporting. 

Membership and Member Support 

• Support colleagues with membership communications and messaging when required. • Assist with member enquiries and administrative requests. 

• Ensure member records are maintained accurately and confidentially. 

Volunteering and support groups

• Support the Head of Services managing volunteer requests and meetings

• Run induction meetings for new volunteers

• Manage and promote the support group meetings across the platforms

Cross-Team Administration and Support 

• Provide customer service support for the online shop, including responding to customer  enquiries and assisting with product updates. 

• Contribute to organisation-wide projects and initiatives as required. 

• Database administration

• Support fundraising administration tasks 

General Responsibilities 

• Work collaboratively with colleagues across all teams. 

• Maintain accurate records and databases in accordance with organisational policies and  GDPR requirements. 

• Undertake other duties appropriate to the role as reasonably required.

Person Specification 

Essential 

• Experience in an administrative, project support or coordinator role.

• Excellent organisational and time management skills. 

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy. 

• Willingness to speak to people over the phone and respond to enquiries.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities. 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and database/CRM systems.

• Experience maintaining records and handling confidential information.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

• Commitment to providing excellent customer and member service. 

Desirable 

• Experience working within the charity, membership or health sector.

• Knowledge of Donorfy, Wordpress and digital communication platforms.

• Understanding of the needs of people living with long-term health conditions or  disabilities.

About the Role

The Sheffield Therapeutic Services for Resettled Refugees (STSRR) is based within therapeutic services in the Resettlement Team in South Yorkshire. The Resettlement team provides advice and support for resettled refugees to help them access services and mainstream provision and establish community links. Working closely with local stakeholders and in partnership with other voluntary sector agencies, the Refugee Council Resettlement team promotes both the integration and independence of this group.

The Psychological Therapist role is to provide one-to-one psychological therapy to resettled refugees presenting with mental distress. We have adopted a psychosocial perspective and use a specially tailored care model to address the needs of our clients. The team have supported resettled adult refugees in South Yorkshire by providing short-term one-to-one therapeutic support since September 2017.

Hours: Part-time, 7 hours per week.
