About the role

The mission of the Supporter Care team at Crisis is to ensure that everyone who contacts us has an excellent experience. We are looking for a new Customer Service Coordinator with a strong background in customer service/supporter care. In addition to being great on the phone and having excellent writing, the successful candidate will be a problem solver who loves methodically working through issues to uncover root causes. You will also have a strong collaborative approach and be willing to develop yourself professionally by learning new skills.

This is an exciting time to join our team. We are about to transition to our new CRM (Microsoft Dynamics 365). We are also implementing new ways of getting the most from our contact management system (Zendesk), utilising AI and other functionality. This role will suit you if you have a strong understanding of customer service, are able to learn new technologies and to adapt to a changing environment all while delivering consistently excellent service.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have significant current or very recent experience in telephone-based customer/supporter service
• Be an initiative-taker, actively seek solutions before escalating issues

Key Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for the preparation of year-end financial and statutory accounts and take a lead role in liaising with our external auditors to deliver a timely and efficient year end audit.

About the role

As a Housing Rights Worker, you will deliver high quality housing advice and advocacy to individuals and families with the ultimate aim of helping them thrive in their communities. Your work will be in line with London Hub’s priorities of improving the practice of local authorities and Registered Social Landlords and focussing on households disproportionately affected by the housing emergency. Working alongside people who are experiencing homelessness and bad housing to identify issues facing local communities, you will deliver casework to families to resolve their housing situation as well as engaging with community groups, local organisations and individuals to understand and address the housing issues in East London. 

In your community work you will ensure that people with lived experience of homelessness have opportunities to share their stories, give their views and have their say in the design and delivery of Shelter services. Offering day to day support to volunteers, providing learning, shadowing and mentoring and being a consistent role model for our values are also key aspects of the role.

About you

You will have demonstrable experience of working with families and vulnerable people and/or people with multiple and complex needs, within a safeguarding framework. You have experience and knowledge of housing and homelessness advice and advocacy and are able to carry out casework related interviews, maintain detailed case records, advise and support your clients to make informed decisions. You are able to communicate clearly to a variety of audiences and collaborate with others to get the job done.

Based in Old Street, the Shelter London Hub services specialises in providing housing advice and emergency homelessness work, intensive support to families, people experiencing domestic abuse, and people experiencing multiple disadvantage, preventing homelessness and helping them to access safe and affordable homes. The team also support the community to address systemic issues that may prevent families or individuals from sustaining a home, providing targeted advice sessions in community settings, with the aim of building capacity within communities to campaign on housing issues.

• Lead cross-cutting strategic analysis projects across our marketing, fundraising and campaigning squads. 

• Act as a key strategic partner and subject matter expert, turning analysis into actionable recommendations that improve supporter engagement and income generation. 

• Identify and implement innovative, predictive analytics solutions to our biggest business challenges. 

• Lead the use of advanced algorithms and tools to improve efficiency and decision-making across the division. 

• Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making through self-service tools, training, and storytelling. 

• Act as product owner for our suite of CRM analytics tools, leading the development roadmap and collaborating with suppliers. 

About you 

To be successful, it is important that you have:  

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence non-technical stakeholders and explain complex concepts to those same stakeholders. 

• Proven experience applying advanced analytical techniques in marketing, including segmentation (e.g. cluster analysis), behaviour prediction (e.g. propensity modelling), churn analysis, A/B testing, and data visualisation. 

• Strong skills in R (R Studio), SQL or Python for statistical analysis in a commercial context. 

• Experience with data analytics tools and platforms such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Salesforce, Microsoft Power BI is advantageous.

• Experience working with large datasets, including extracting and preparing data using SQL and a strong understanding of relational databases. 

• Experience with website analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics) is desirable.

Living Well Health and Wellbeing Coordinator Role:

Referrals and assessment

• Triage and co-ordinate client referrals from a range of sources, primarily health and care, in conjunction with the Living Well Manager.  These can be for the Living Well service alone, or for “Living Well Plus” where additional support is given to those clients who may require hoarding or de-cluttering support
• Communicate with referral partners to understand the trigger for referral and liaise with clients to build trust and encourage initial assessment
• Work closely with Adult Social Care, regularly hot desking at Merton Civic centre and joining GP surgery Multi-disciplinary meetings to accumulate more referrals and build professional relationships
• Actively engage in taking part in community events and meetings to promote the Living Well service and increase referrals/referral pathways
• Hold ‘guided conversations’ to assess clients’ needs and home risk, these will be conducted on telephone and through home visits

Action planning and support provision

• Create person-centred action plans to enable clients to set realistic goals to improve their overall health and wellbeing.
• Connect individuals to support services catered to their needs at both Age UK Merton and external partners
• Provide ongoing support and co-ordination for clients to ensure that action plans are progressing, including regular liaison with partners across health, care and voluntary sector to achieve successful client outcomes
• Work with partners across health, care and voluntary sectors to build strong understanding of the service offer for older adults in the London Borough of Merton.
• Receive and respond to enquiries related to the programme by phone, in person and by e-mail
• Work closely within Community Support Service, carrying out joint home visits with appropriate staff to ensure better outcomes for clients as well as ensure streamlined/triaged support.

The Community Engagement Co-ordinator is responsible for developing with the Communications Manager a community engagement strategy for ScotsCare, in order to increase awareness and engagement with ScotsCare services and support, with the aim of increasing the number of people using ScotsCare services.
