About Working Well Trust
Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment.
We are recruiting Employment Advisors to join our IPS service, you will be based in the Beam Park Health Centre in Rainham, Barking and Dagenham, working 35 hours per week. Working Well Trust's services have previously been awarded the IPS Grow quality mark and adheres closely to the principles of the IPS model in supporting people in to employment. This role will be working with clients who have mental health support needs, wanting to gain paid employment.
Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our passion and commitment to employment as an integral aspect of wellbeing and supporting people to find the right job for them. You will receive training on the IPS model and in supporting people with mental health issues. We welcome applications from people with lived experience of mental health, either personally or through a close contact.
You need to have a desire to support people to achieve their employment goals, and the ability to multitask and manage your workload effectively. Good organisation skills are essential for this role, in addition to an interest in mental health, and the role it plays in the workplace. The successful candidate will need to become comfortable in approaching employers, and showcase the advantages of our service in order to work with them to recruit our clients to fill vacancies and sustain employment.
What you’ll be doing
You will work with clients (managing a caseload) who have mental health support needs, to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences. You will deliver the IPS approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred support and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment.
You will work as part of a mental health team (NHS Trust) maintaining positive and integrated relationships, fostering a holistic approach to recovery through employment. You will work closely with clinical teams, providing a coordinated approach that always remains client led.
You will spend up to 65% of your week working in the community of Barking and Dagenham to provide localised support to residents of the Borough.
You will also be working to targets whilst maintaining a high-quality service.
What you’ll need
Experience in employment support is not essential. We are looking for someone who brings:
- A genuine desire to support people into meaningful employment.
- Commitment to person-centred work and either experience of or enthusiasm to learn the IPS approach.
- Confidence engaging with employers and promoting the benefits of our service.
- Good organisation skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.

Brief role description
The People and Systems Administrator provides comprehensive administrative support to the People Team, with responsibility for recruitment and onboarding of new employees, maintaining accurate employee records, coordinating benefits, and acting as the first point of contact for employee queries. The role holds ownership of HR administration, including the production of HR paperwork, and serves as the day-to-day generalist HR contact for all employees on behalf of the team.
In addition, the People and Systems Administrator plays a key role in supporting the implementation of the Charity’s HR strategy and associated projects, providing robust support to the Head of People and the People Team Advisor and wider stakeholders across the organisation. The role requires compliance at all times with company policies, procedures, and prevailing UK employment legislation.
The role requires a high level of IT competence and confidence in working with HR systems and digital tools, ensuring data accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement of people processes. A proactive approach is essential to success in the role, with the postholder expected to anticipate issues, identify opportunities for improvement, and take initiative in managing workloads and supporting the People Team.
There is scope for the role to develop over time, depending on the individual’s motivation, capability, and appetite to take on additional responsibility.

Summary
The purpose of this role is to use communications to contribute to the success of Nesta’s healthy life mission, which aims to halve obesity by 2030. The post holder will lead on strategic communications for the healthy life mission, seeking and securing opportunities for Nesta to advance its policy agenda and build its public profile.
This includes proposing and planning communications, partnership development and management, public affairs activities; being the strategic lead for stakeholder relationships across the mission; and owning the mission narrative and messaging, ensuring salience and consistency of key messages and communications outputs.
The role will:
- Lead on strategic communications: translating and applying communications skills to a health context, providing tailored communications advice that is specific to the domain area to deliver high-impact communications activity for the mission. This will include the development and delivery of influencing strategies for our policy priorities and related public affairs activity.
- Draft and edit a variety of communications content, driving through from conception to delivery and evaluation.
- Act as strategic lead on healthy life mission stakeholder relationships: identifying target stakeholders, having an overview of engagement with them across the mission, planning and supporting engagement activities.
- Manage partnership communications with partners, from high profile industry partners to NGOs, identifying and mitigating risks to protect Nesta’s reputation and spotting and delivering on opportunities to enhance it
- Use excellent project and people management skills to coordinate the smooth, efficient delivery and evaluation of a number of high-impact communications campaigns at any one time.
- Lead on discrete communications projects such as commissioning creative content, audience research or narrative development and testing.
This role sits as part of both the communications team (made up of specialists across media, marketing, events and content production), and healthy life mission team (including experts across policy, research, behavioural science, data science and design).
The role does not have direct line management responsibility, but all communications and mission team members are expected to play a role in supporting the learning and development of more junior members of the team.

The person
You should have the following skills and/or experience:
- Professional communications experience (essential): You will have proven experience of working in a communications or public affairs role. A creative thinker and experienced writer and editor, you will have experience of working on a variety of communications outputs designed to inform and influence different audiences and stakeholders, such as blogs, briefings and pitch decks.
- Managing integrated communications campaigns (essential): You will have proven experience of driving and delivering successful communications campaigns to achieve policy impact and influence.
- Project delivery skills (essential): You will have proven experience of delivering high-impact communications campaigns from conception to delivery and evaluation. You can proactively plan and deliver work, and identify and act on risks and find solutions.
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills (essential): You will have experience of applying these effectively to collaborate well with colleagues, build stakeholder relationships and develop partnerships.
- Knowledge of the UK health and/or food sector (essential): You will have knowledge of how the UK health and/or food sector works from experience gained in a heath and/or food-related communications role, either in the NHS, local or national government or the third sector. If you don’t have relevant professional professional experience, you will have a proven interest.
- Knowledge of political systems and government in the UK (desirable): You will have knowledge and understanding of how policy is made and developed, and of the wider political system, including central and devolved governments and parliaments, ideally gained in a professional context.
As with all members of the Nesta Group communications team, the postholder will also be at their best working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, have a flexible approach and an appetite for taking on new tasks and challenges. They will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a proven ability to write for a range of different audiences.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
Corporate Partnerships Development
- Ensure achievement of annual income target for corporate partnerships
- Take primary responsibility for managing the current pool of medium and large corporate partnerships, including global partners (working with Operation Smile Inc), to ensure their growth and longevity – strategic input into the growth of each partner will be essential
- Develop and implement plans for partner activity to maximise all income channels, including corporate philanthropy, employee engagement, cause-related marketing and more
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of new corporate fundraising prospects, creating propositions/proposals and making approaches, working with the Director of Partnerships
- Enhance our employee engagement and community fundraising offer with simple, easy-to-do fundraising activities, linked to key moments in the calendar

- Represent Operation Smile UK in global corporate partner discussions, applying any global strategies to develop successful fundraising plans for the UK
- Lead on the development and management of any corporate partner cultivation events
Additional Responsibilities
- Line manage one Partnerships Officer, supporting them to manage inbound community fundraising requests and existing relationships, as well as smaller corporate partners
- Oversight of community fundraising income target delivered by the Officer
- Create and maintain annual corporate partnerships and community fundraising budgets and business plans, including activities from current supporters and forecasting new business income

About the role
Community Services at The Passage are delivered from our Resource Centre in Victoria, which provides a single, accessible entry point for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. The Resource Centre acts as a central hub, enabling people to be assessed once and supported to access the most appropriate accommodation, services or onward referrals based on their individual needs.
People are supported by skilled client facing staff who work with them to understand their circumstances and identify the right pathway of support. Alongside assessment and casework, the Resource Centre provides immediate welfare services to help meet urgent needs and stabilise people at times of crisis.
Following assessment, Community Services deliver a range of specialist and preventative interventions, including rapid rehousing for those at imminent risk of homelessness, advice and advocacy, employment and skills support, housing-related casework delivered in partnership with the local authority, and assertive engagement for people less able to access services independently. The overall aim is to prevent homelessness wherever possible and to support people to move quickly into safe, stable accommodation.
Key responsibilities
Strategic Leadership and Service Development
- Lead delivery of The Passage’s 3-year strategy as it relates to Community Services, ensuring services are preventative, trauma-informed, and outcomes-focused.
- Develop, implement and monitor an annual Community Services business plan, reporting to the Quality & Services Committee and Board as required.
- Provide strategic leadership for No Night Out, ensuring it continues to deliver rapid, effective interventions aligned to Westminster’s homelessness strategy and wider system reform.
- The post holder will be responsible for embedding equality, diversity and inclusion across Community Services, ensuring services are accessible, inclusive and responsive to the diverse needs of people we support, and that inclusive practice is reflected in service delivery, staff development and partnership working.
- Identify, develop and lead new service opportunities, including bid development and commissioner engagement for Community Services.
- Lead planning and operational delivery for Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) and other system-wide responses.
Safeguarding, Risk and Community Impact
- Act as Safeguarding Lead for Community Services, ensuring robust policies, training, escalation pathways and safe practice across all services.
- Maintain oversight of risk management, incident reporting, and health & safety compliance within Community Services.
- Lead locality management across services, including proactive management of anti-social behaviour (ASB) and community impact in a dense residential environment.
- Hold responsibility for security provision within Community Services, ensuring appropriate deployment, escalation and alignment with The Passage’s values and legal responsibilities.
- Work closely with local residents, businesses, the local authority and other stakeholders to manage concerns, maintain confidence, and protect The Passage’s reputation.
Operational Leadership and People Management
- Provide clear leadership and direction to Community Services managers and teams, fostering a culture of accountability, learning and continuous improvement.
- Recruit, develop and retain high-performing teams, ensuring robust supervision, appraisal and development planning.
- Ensure consistent application of people policies, including performance management, grievance, disciplinary and absence processes.
- Support managers to define clear roles and responsibilities aligned to service objectives and contractual requirements.
- Champion co-production and lived experience involvement in service design and delivery, working closely with the Lived Experience Project Manager.
Primary Services and Resource Centre Operations
- Hold strategic and operational responsibility for Primary Services, including the catering function within the Resource Centre.
- Ensure full compliance with food hygiene, health & safety, and all relevant regulatory and legal requirements.
- Work closely with Fundraising to support corporate volunteering and “Kitchen Takeover” initiatives, ensuring safe, high-quality delivery that enhances supporter engagement while protecting service users and staff.
- Balance operational integrity, safeguarding and service quality with supporter and volunteer experience.
Financial Management and Funding Stewardship
- Set and manage realistic budgets and forecasts across Community Services, working closely with Finance and Fundraising.
- Oversee multiple funding streams, including large trusts, grant-giving bodies and commissioned services, ensuring full compliance with funding conditions and reporting requirements.
- Support managers to understand and deliver against budgetary and income-related targets.
- Contribute to the development of funding proposals and service models that align with organisational strategy and funder priorities.
Monitoring, Evaluation and Impact
- Strengthen monitoring, evaluation and learning across Community Services, supporting teams to evidence impact and improve practice.
- Analyse service data (e.g. In-Form) to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.

The Role
Reporting to the Head of Research and Clinical Trials, you will manage the portfolio of active Research Awards and develop an in-depth knowledge of the portfolio to support internal and external communications. This will include developing appropriate monitoring strategies for projects within the portfolio to ensure key milestones are tracked against plans, acting as a key contact point for Award holders and staff within the Charity.
As Research Grants Manager, you will support the delivery of our research strategy and progress with our strategy through engagement with researchers and collection of key data. The role includes engaging with researchers, developing and maintaining monitoring systems and data collection, and oversight of ongoing research awards and budgets.
Specifically, you will:
Research award management and governance
Ensure Research Awards are effectively managed, allocated funding is used as planned and the impact is monitored:
- Develop strong relationships with award holders and serve as the main point of contact for any issues with research awards.
- Manage funded awards, ensuring monitoring processes are fit for purpose. Monitor the progress of research awards, through regular meetings with award holders and ensuring satisfactory progress reports are submitted.
- Develop appropriate management processes for new funding initiatives.
Research strategy development and implementation
· With the Head of Research and Clinical Trials and the wider Research Funding Team, set the Research Funding Team objectives and budgets ensuring they underpin the delivery of the organisational strategy.
· Maintain awareness of the external research environment, including working with the, AMRC and relevant funding organisations such as the NIHR and other health charities and developments in cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment.

· Coach and develop the Research Funding team, whilst role modelling the values of the charity.
· Work closely with the other Research Grants Managers and provide cover when needed.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:
· To have a Post Graduate Qualification in a relevant subject or a degree in a relevant subject area with demonstratable experience in a charity, research or health environment, at a similar level.
· To have an in depth understanding of research funding mechanisms including peer review processes and management of research awards.
· To have demonstratable experience of research funding and/or management of clinical research.
· To have experience of managing budgets and analysing expenditure of grant awards.

Abianda is seeking an experienced and collaborative Young Women and Girls Practitioner (1:1) to work with young women and girls aged 13-25 affected by criminal exploitation and violence as part of our flagship service, the Star Project.
As the Young Women and Girls Practitioner (1:1), you will take young women and girls through a tailored programme of activities, supporting skills development and critical thinking. Women in Prison’s Project Workers deliver high-quality, trauma-informed, independent advocacy for women in communities and in prisons, which focuses on early intervention, and holistic provision as part of a ‘whole system’ multi-agency response that looks to address the root causes of women’s offending. High Trees is seeking a Youth Employment Support Service Coordinator for our Build Your Future programme. Build Your Future is a targeted youth employment project supporting young people aged 16–24 who are not in education, employment or training (NEET). The project provides holistic, person-centred support combining outreach and engagement, pastoral support, employability skills development and progression into education, training or work.
The project is primarily delivered in-house by High Trees, working in partnership with other local delivery partners. Build Your Future focuses on young people facing multiple barriers, including care-experienced young people, migrants and refugees, young people with SEND, and those experiencing social or economic exclusion.
The Build Your Future Project Coordinator plays a central role in ensuring the effective day-to-day delivery of the project. Working closely with High Trees delivery teams and partner organisations, the postholder will coordinate outreach and engagement activity, support the provision of high-quality pastoral support for young people, and ensure strong project coordination, monitoring and reporting.
This role will suit someone who is highly organised, collaborative and passionate about supporting young people facing multiple barriers into education, training and employment.
The role requires a balance of coordination, communication and relationship-building skills. You will work closely with colleagues across Employment & Careers and Children, Young People & Families teams, as well as with delivery partners, to ensure Build Your Future is delivered to a high standard.
