This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive fundraiser who enjoys both bid writing and relationship building.

Working closely with the Fundraising Manager, you will play a key role in securing income from trusts and foundations, supporting donor stewardship, and helping to grow community fundraising activity. You will contribute directly to the financial sustainability of the charity while helping more children gain access to books of their own.

The role is ideally suited to someone who is highly organised, a strong writer, and confident managing multiple fundraising activities simultaneously.

About the role

Reporting in to the National Events Manager, the Events Fundraising Officer will recruit and engage supporters, building trust and collaboration to strengthen Christian Aid’s event and DIY fundraising activity and maximise participation in challenge events. Supporting the planning and delivery of impactful fundraising and stewardship initiatives, while working flexibly to contribute to wider team priorities and key fundraising moments.

The post-holder will develop meaningful communications with Christian Aid’s supporters, churches, and volunteers to maximise engagement and create consistent, high-quality experiences.

Some of the main areas of responsibility for the Events Fundraising Officer include:

• Manage and develop the challenge events portfolio, including key events such as the London Marathon and Great North Run, ensuring delivery within agreed timelines and budgets and effective collaboration with stakeholders.
• Support the National Events Manager in planning and delivering Christian Aid’s owned event portfolio, contributing to successful delivery against agreed timelines and budgets.
• Develop and deliver tailored plans for event volunteer recruitment, recognition, and retention, fostering meaningful engagement and a positive volunteer experience.
• Take lead in growing DIY church fundraising, contributing to the acquisition of new supporters, deeper engagement with churches, and increased impact.
• Respond to enquiries relating to challenge events, DIY fundraising, and event volunteering, providing clear, timely, and solution-focused advice to stakeholders.
• Contribute to the growth of Christian Aid’s movement-building presence within church communities, supporting stronger connections and increased supporter engagement.
• Work in a collaborative, adaptable, and solutions-focused way, with a commitment to continuous improvement, high-quality delivery, and the flexibility to respond to evolving team priorities.
• Work flexibly and collaboratively across the Community Fundraising & Volunteering team, supporting the acquisition of new supporters, maximising income, and delivering campaign activity through effective fundraising appeals, resources, and stewardship.

About you

Essential:

• Demonstrable experience of delivering challenge events and/or other community fundraising events.
• Demonstrable experience of using supporter or customer databases and other data sources to drive decision making.
• Developed understanding of working with volunteers, including sector best practice.
• The ability to work within a project management structure and manage complex projects and workplans.
• Ability to work collaboratively with external suppliers and a wide range of internal stakeholders.
• Ability to write persuasive materials for religious and secular audiences, and ability to assess creative work and edit copy.

Desirable:

• Demonstrable experience of working with church audiences.

Summary of the role:

The Community Fundraising and Volunteers Manager is responsible for managing and delivering an ambitious, values-led community fundraising programme that meets Muslim Aid's income targets while deepening community engagement and volunteer impact.

Working within Muslim Aid's Growth Department and reporting to the Head of Growth, the post-holder will lead a dedicated team, oversee all community fundraising campaigns (including Ramadan, Qurbani and Emergency appeals), and manage a national volunteer network. The role ensures all activity is compliant with regulatory, ethical and Islamic values-based standards and that Muslim Aid's community fundraising is delivered in line with the MAUK Growth Strategy 2026–2030.

About the Role:

1. Lead on mid-year and end-of-year income reviews, presenting findings and recovery plans to the Head of Growth.
2. Maintain a pipeline of new community fundraising activities and products (e.g. regular giving, community challenges, legacy and corporate-community partnerships) to grow income diversification.
3. Maintain a live Fundraising Risk Register that documents impact on acquisition and service delivery. Review quarterly and escalate any high-rated risks within 48 hours.
4. Develop and maintain an Annual Events Calendar shared across relevant departments at least 2 months in advance.
5. Set and track an annual volunteer growth target agreed with the Head of Growth reporting progress on a monthly basis.
6. Utilise online fundraising platforms (e.g. JustGiving, LaunchGood, peer-to-peer fundraising pages) to maximise income from community fundraising campaigns.

About You:

You must currently hold the right to work in the UK. Muslim Aid is not offering sponsorship for this role.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. Experience developing and delivering annual fundraising work plans, securing income across multiple community fundraising streams.
2. Demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding income targets. 
3. Experience sourcing and capacity-building volunteers.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and proactive individual to join a small, friendly, and dynamic team in a varied role. In the role you will:

Assist the team across the fundraising function supporting corporate, trust, foundation, community and individual fundraising activities.

Essential Skills and Experience

Key responsibilities

• As part of Saferworld’s senior leadership, you will support organisation-wide initiatives and contribute to strategic decision-making. You will monitor funding trends, identify emerging issues relevant to Saferworld’s work and partnership approaches, and develop appropriate strategies to respond.
• Working closely with the Senior Operations Team, you will ensure funding plans are developed across business units and thematic/regional areas, and that income pipelines are maintained while quality assurance and active cost recovery are proactively pursued. • You will have strong experience of leading complex participatory programme design, including developing budgets, monitoring frameworks and proposals. You will be confident coordinating programme development processes with multiple teams and partners to ensure a collaborative and inclusive approach.
• You will have a proven track record of motivating, mentoring and managing a team, and supporting that team to think creatively about fundraising. You will also be confident developing networks, building alliances, and nurturing relationships with individuals, collaborators and funders.
• You will bring a strong understanding of key political, development and humanitarian trends and debates, particularly linked to peacebuilding, development, human rights, governance, and security and justice. You will also have sound knowledge of UK civil society and charity regulatory requirements, and an understanding of the current international aid, peacebuilding and human rights funding environment.
• Experience of working and/or living in conflict-affected contexts, and understanding of peacebuilding and conflict prevention, are desirable.

Position

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and experienced face-to-face fundraising Manager with Festivals and Events experience who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about both performance and purpose. Salary: £41,902.62 - £51,214.32 per annum | Salary is offered in line with our pay framework and typically starts at the entry point of the band. Salary increases are considered annually and are subject to our appraisal and performance review process.

Job Purpose:

Manage the on-site delivery of MSF UK’s Face-to-Face (F2F) fundraising activity across Festivals and Events, ensuring high-performing, safe and professional fundraising operations that maximise income and public engagement.

Provide day-to-day management and development of Team Leaders, Fundraisers and Coordinator-level roles, driving performance through coaching, monitoring and clear accountability against targets.

Coordinate and deliver on-site operational and logistics activity across up to 60 festivals and events annually, working in close partnership with the Logistics Manager, who is responsible for logistics planning and infrastructure.

Act as the most senior on-site representative for MSF, ensuring all festival and event activity runs smoothly, maintaining strong relationships with event organisers, suppliers and stakeholders, and ensuring a high-quality, self-sufficient operational presence.

Work closely with the F2F Programme Lead and wider F2F management team to deliver the Festivals and Events plan, contribute to programme development and support the ongoing growth of the events portfolio.

Support the recruitment, onboarding and effective deployment of F2F agency workers and MSF UK staff, ensuring teams are equipped to deliver high-quality fundraising and meet performance expectations.

Take responsibility for on-site operational planning, including rota management and oversight of timesheet accuracy, ensuring effective resource allocation across activity.

Ensure all team activity adheres to MSF’s standards for behaviour, safeguarding, safety and compliance, creating a positive and professional working environment.

Outside of festival periods, take responsibility for the delivery of Private Sites activity, maintaining the same standards of leadership, performance and target achievement. The role is accountable for delivering annual Festivals and Events income targets and contributes to the overall success of the Face-to-Face programme.

The Philanthropy Manager is responsible for leading the leadership and development of Brainkinds philanthropy fundraising activities. This role will focus on the delivery of Brainkind’s capital fundraising initiatives, cultivation and stewardship of high-net-worth individuals and grow strategic corporate partnerships. This is a newly created role that will play an integral part of the Brainkind fundraising strategy.

The primary duties for the role will include

·Develop and deliver capital fundraising strategies to support major infrastructure and service development projects

• Identify and secure major gifts (£25k+) to support capital appeals.
• Develop and manage a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals and prospective major donors.
• Identify, research, and cultivate new prospects through networking, events, and relationship mapping.
• Develop and implement a corporate fundraising strategy aligned to Brainkind’s mission and values.
• Secure new corporate partnerships including strategic, multi-year, and employee engagement partnerships.

Experience and skills required for the role will include

·Previous experience of working in a philanthropy focused role with understanding of engaging with high-net-worth individuals, potential major donors and corporate partners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supporting New Business Development

• Assist in researching and identifying prospective regional, national and international corporate partners aligned with the organisation’s mission and values
• Support the development of tailored proposals, pitches and presentations for potential corporate supporters
• Help prepare outreach materials, including emails, decks, and briefing documents
• Maintain and update prospect pipelines and CRM records
• Attend meetings and events with prospective partners, taking notes and following up on actions
• Work closely with the charity’s rescue and rehoming centres and wider team to identify new corporate funding and partnership opportunities.

Managing Existing Corporate Partnerships

• Provide day-to-day support in the management of existing corporate accounts
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with partner contacts
• Ensure partnerships are delivered in line with agreed objectives and timelines
• Support the monitoring and reporting of partnership performance and impact
• Attend events linked to corporate supporters to represent the charity, with UK-wide travel sometimes required
• Help organise and attend large corporate volunteer days at the charity’s rescue and rehoming centres

Communications & Engagement

• Maintain a strong understanding of World Horse Welfare’s work to ensure relevance in our corporate partnership work
• Develop close working relationships with Communications team and work closely with them on creating and scheduling of agreed corporate content in line with communications schedules.
• Coordinate and deliver partnership communications, including newsletters, updates, impact reports, and social media content
• Lead on gathering content to form the basis of partnership communication obligations
• Work with internal teams to ensure consistent and high-quality messaging including drafting copy in line with brand messaging, obtaining appropriate images, developing related materials and ensuring approval processes are followed.
• Support the planning and execution of partner engagement activities, campaigns, and events
• Ensure partners receive appropriate recognition and visibility in line with agreements

Sponsorship & Agreement Management

• Assist in drafting and managing sponsorship agreements and partnership contracts
• Track and fulfil contractual benefits (e.g. branding, hospitality, social media, volunteering, speaking opportunities)
• Maintain accurate records of deliverables and ensure all obligations are met
• Support the review and renewal of agreements

Administration & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records within the CRM system
• Track income, pledges, and invoices
• Support preparation of reports and presentations
• Provide general administrative support to Corporate Fundraising Manager and Director of Fundraising in relation to corporate support
