Mainly remote (at least initially), with in-person attendance required at monthly team meetings and in-person membership related events which may take place at differing locations, across the UK.

Purpose of the Role
The Membership & Communications Manager is a new part time role at the School Partnerships Alliance, reporting to the Chief Executive and working closely with our Executive Assistant. You will join us at an exciting time as we develop our new organisational strategy and expand our current school membership offer. As this is a new position this post does not currently have direct reports, but there may be an opportunity to recruit additional team member(s) as the organisation continues to grow over the next 12-18 months. You will be required to work closely with both our CEO and Director of Programmes and Research to lead on the development and delivery of the membership strategy, both stewarding and growing our membership base year on year. You will also be required to manage our new website, provide support with our social media, and ensure that all member communications align with both our brand values and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver a new, robust membership strategy that supports the S.P.A.’s key objectives. This will include new member acquisition, current member retention and ensuring that stewardship of school members is effective and fit for purpose. You will work with the Director of Programmes and Research to help deliver a credible school partnerships CPD programme and collaborate with the wider S.P.A. team to create a tangible, attractive membership offer (both on and off-line) that will bring schools together, challenge existing partnership practice and support new thinking.
- Actively identify, solicit and enrol new schools as members, building and maintaining an evolving pipeline of new membership prospects.
- Plan and prepare for meetings with current and potential members and accompany CEO and/or Director of Programmes and Research to cultivation meetings where appropriate.
- Be the first point of call for all members and with the support of the Executive Assistant to the CEO, oversee the processing of all new membership applications, renewals and invoices and ensure all enquiries from existing and prospective members are responded to in a timely manner.
- Work with the wider team to confirm a calendar of membership events across the school year. These will take place both online and/or in locations across the UK, so occasional travel will be required.
- Oversee the membership budget and provide quarterly income forecasts and reports to the CEO and Trustees, monitoring and reporting against income targets.
- Build and maintain partnerships with wider S.P.A. stakeholders to include external school membership organisations, MATs and S.P.A. trustees.
- Empower S.P.A. staff and our trustee board to support membership development, utilising their talents and networks effectively.
- Lead on the preparation of high-quality digital membership communication and related marketing and event materials.
- Oversee the establishment of an appropriate administration system to ensure effective membership tracking, due diligence, and to ensure that the S.P.A. has a robust, professional approach to member stewardship.
- Ensure all membership delivery complies with our internal protocols and all external regulations.
- To attend relevant S.P.A in person events.
- To be an active ambassador for the organisation and carry out any other related duties deemed commensurate with the requirements of the role.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Passionate advocate for young people and a commitment to the School Partnerships Alliance’s central mission.
- A minimum of 3 years non-profit membership/communications/fundraising experience in a relevant role would be desirable.
- A proven track record of securing membership subsidies and/or donations from trusts and foundations, corporate partners and major donors.
- Excellent relationship and people management skills, varying your style to the needs of the audience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent team skills, strong listening and problem-solving abilities with a positive attitude.
- Excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work to deadlines.
- Proficiency in CANVA/In Design and MS PowerPoint to create impactful digital communications.
- Thorough knowledge of structured CRM systems and support tools, all MS Office including Excel.

Purpose of the Role:
This is a key role to work with an exciting community taking lead responsibility for the looking after key aspects of existing and new membership. You will be working alongside an experienced team supporting the Liberal Jewish Synagogue, the largest Liberal Synagogue in the UK, to be the best it can be.
Your role will touch all aspects of the synagogue with a particular focus on looking after new members, the membership process and members in general, acting as a key conduit to ensure that our members receive the best service we can provide. You will also ensure that ourCRM system is up to date and important data and information can be pulled form it.
You will support bereaved families in the immediate aftermath of a death by organising funerals, shivas and stone-settings.
Additionally you will support our Senior Rabbi in her work including diary management and ensuring, working alongside others, that life cycle and important religious festivals are being managed and delivered to the highest standards.
Senior Rabbi PA
Support the Senior Rabbi in all aspect of their work to include:-
o Administrative and secretarial support for the Senior Rabbi including correspondence, diary management and to act as their first point of contact for enquiries by phone, email and in person
o Liaise and work alongside the member of staff (Office Administrator) who is PA for the other Rabbis and supporting when necessary
o Meet with Senior Rabbi regularly to review weekly diary, plan for the future and complete event forms
o Work closely with the Office Administrator (who organises all internal and life cycle events) to develop efficient procedures, printing and systems to ensure organisation of all life cycle events (including baby blessings, Bar-Bat Mitzvahs, Kabbalat Torah, weddings and mixed faith blessings, conversion, admission ceremonies).
o Assist with planning and coordination of events generated by the Senior Rabbi
o Keep timetables of all life cycle events coordinating with office staff to ensure these events and linked celebrations are delivered effectively
o Keep a tracking system that logs where proselytes are on their conversion journey.
o Liaise with the LJS Community Care Co-ordinator and other contacts over pastoral and other issues being dealt with by the Senior Rabbi.
o Circulate the services calendar and the Bar/Bat Mitzvah schedule of dates
o Support the volunteers who coordinate the mitzvot
o Assist in the organisation of the High Holy Days particularly in co-ordinating all mitzvot
o Assist the Senior Rabbi and the office in the organisation of interfaith/multifaith and other events including the sending out invitations and co-ordinating response
o Ensure that thank you letters for donations, yahrzeits and other acknowledgements are prepared and signed by the Senior Rabbi
o Complete the weekly yahrzeit list
o Complete administration support for the Bereavement Support
o Any other duties which may be reasonably requested by the Senior Rabbi and Executive Director.
o Funeral Coordinator
o To co-ordinate the administration of funerals (burials and cremations) for members and non-members.
o To liaise with the family/estate, rabbis, funeral directors, cemetery/crematorium or others as necessary in making the arrangements.
o To provide details of cost to the person organising the funeral.
o To prepare funeral and related invoices in consultation with the Financial Controller.
o To organise consecrations and arrange interments of ashes and ordering of memorial plaques.
o To administer the burial of non-members, including preparing invoices and dealing with payments for the burials.
o To administer the allocation of graves, reservations and columbarium
o To prepare condolence letters for Rabbis.
o To send out electronic Bereavement Notifications
o To respond to requests from the public for plot locations and information on the cemetery.
o To provide annual statistical information on burials and cremations for Liberal Judaism and the Board of Deputies.
o To ensure and promote the maintenance of graves as requested by families
o Send out the biennial Memorial Service for the Loss of a Child and the Loss of the Prospect of a Child.
Membership Coordinator:
o Administer and coordinate the membership process from receipt of a new application including liaising with the applicant, the Financial Controller and the Rabbis
o Maintain the appropriate Council reports for new members and resignations
o Send welcome letters and packs to new members
o Send resignation letters to members
o Ensure the CRM (ShulCloud) system is up to date (training will be provided) with members’ details, and their journey through the membership process including adding new members, resigning members, changing their status in respect of age membership changes and so on.
o Produce ShulCloud (CRM) reports
o Ensure ShulCloud (CRM) is maintained and up to date
o Work closely with staff to support contact with members in respect of volunteering, marketing, High Holy Day ticketing, the creation of mail merges and the AGM
o Be a ‘superuser’ of the ShulCloud, working closely with the ShulCloud consultant, understanding and learning what the system can do and supporting others to use it.
o Work alongside other areas that involve links to membership i.e. education

Personal Specifications:

We are seeking a motivated and efficient Events Assistant to join our growing and welcoming organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of a wide range of events (online and in person) for stakeholders across Wales’ political, public and academic life. The role also includes support for communications, meetings and other areas within LSW as they develop. As such, it offers a great all-round experience for someone looking to develop their career.
This flexible, full-time role is fixed term for one year and will provide essential support to our small and friendly team – enabling us to deliver our ambitious five-year strategy to benefit Wales. We are looking for someone who is adaptable, supportive and organised. For an Assistant-level role we do not expect you to have substantial previous work experience, but we are looking for a self-starter with a keenness to learn, and a proactive attitude to assisting others and finding solutions is essential.

About the role
Managed by the Head of Public Policy, this is a role which is designed to work across our small team, supporting the management of a wide range of events (online and in person) as well as providing some support for communications, meetings and other areas as they develop.
We organise and host a wide variety of events from large public lectures to small networking events, in-person dinners to online seminars and meetings. Some of these are established annual events and some are one-off. At these events and meetings, we host stakeholders from across Welsh political and public spheres as well as engaging and involving our 700+ Fellows who represent excellence across academia and beyond.
This role will focus primarily on events relating to LSW’s Strategic Priority 1: “Contribute to major policy solutions by providing independent advice and facilitating knowledge exchange”. These events typically relate to one of the following five topics:
1. Facilitating the provision of evidence and expertise to inform public policy, with stakeholders including Welsh Government, the Senedd, the UK Government Wales Office, and the Westminster Welsh Affairs Committee.
2. Convening discussions on policy matters impacting research and innovation sectors, such as EDI, research culture, funding, open research, and civic engagement.
3. Advocating for the importance of all research, innovation, and knowledge in and for Wales.
4. Supporting and advocating for Wales Studies, i.e. research about Wales.
5. International engagement to raise Wales’s profile among science and research stakeholders internationally, and give Wales a voice in key conversations in the global science and research world. (Most current work is in Scotland and Ireland, with increasing European engagement)
You will also provide support across the team – including for the CEO, President, Head of Equity and Engagement, Communications Officer, and Events and Awards Officer where they require assistance with meetings, events and communications. You will be working with different members of the team depending on the particular event or activity so you will manage your own time – with support from your line manager.

Suffolk Wildlife Trust is seeking a Membership Assistant to support the delivery of an exceptional experience for our 27,000 members and help drive our mission to bring nature back to Suffolk. This role is central to the effective administration of our membership schemes, ensuring that members feel valued and connected to the work of the Trust.

The role
As Senior IT Manager, you will lead on all things IT across CSE and our subsidiary, Retrofit West CIC. From supporting staff day-to-day to managing our infrastructure and external support partner, you will ensure our systems are secure, fit for purpose, and evolving with our needs.
You will sit within the Finance & Operations team and be part of CSE’s Senior Management Team (SMT), working closely with our Director of Finance & Operations. Position: People & Community Manager
Reports to: Executive Director
Collaborates with: Centre Operations Manager & Spiritual Programme Coordinator
Location: Jamyang Buddhist Centre, London, with the option for some remote working.
Preferred Start Date: Early September 2025
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: 35 hours per week, with occasional evening and weekend work (TOIL provided).

Purpose
As People & Community Manager you nurture Jamyang’s values-aligned culture and strengthens its sense of community, both internally and externally. This role bridges HR admin, onboarding, volunteer coordination, and community engagement - ensuring staff and community members alike feel welcome, heard, and supported. You also help embed our collective commitment to a liveable future - ensuring that care for the environment is reflected in how we work, communicate, and come together as a community.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Administration & Onboarding

Oversee day-to-day HR administration, liaising with Jamyang’s external HR consultancy for specialist support.

Coordinate onboarding processes, ensuring a warm, inclusive welcome aligned with Jamyang’s values.

Support managers with HR processes such as probation reviews and leave tracking.
2. Volunteer Programme Coordination

Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing support of volunteers, ensuring rewarding and meaningful experiences.

Develop volunteer role descriptions, training resources, and appreciation initiatives.

Liaise with the Centre Operations Manager and Education Department to align volunteer support with operational needs.
3. Community Engagement & Events

Organise community consultations, listening circles, and social events to foster connection and belonging.

Act as a point of contact for community members seeking engagement opportunities.

Support communications that build a vibrant and inclusive Jamyang community.
4. Culture Stewardship & Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI)

Develop and implement initiatives that embed Jamyang’s values—care, interconnectedness, warmheartedness—into daily work life.

Champion EDI by:

Supporting the implementation of Jamyang’s EDI strategy in collaboration with the Executive Director and the Education department.

Organising awareness-raising activities such as training, book clubs, community discussions, and inclusive programming.

Advising on inclusive language and practices in external communications (in collaboration with the Comms Manager).

Monitor and report on EDI progress, sharing insights and recommended actions with the leadership team.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

3–5 years’ experience in HR administration, volunteer coordination, or community engagement, and are confident working with people across a wide range of backgrounds.

Community Organiser: You have hands-on experience coordinating volunteers, running onboarding processes, and bringing people together through events or community consultations.

Organised Operator: You’re comfortable juggling multiple priorities, with strong time management, planning skills, and a methodical approach to getting things done.

Trust Builder: You foster connection through clear, compassionate communication and an openness that helps others feel seen and included.

Tech-Savvy Organiser: You’re comfortable using tools like BreatheHR, Asana, Microsoft Office, and event platforms to keep things running smoothly.

Inclusive Ethos: You understand EDI and safeguarding principles, and actively foster a safe, welcoming environment for all.
Compensation and Benefits

£28,000–£32,000 per year, depending on experience
