About the role

The Social Media Executive sits in the Media & Communications’ team and plays a key role in elevating Spear’s brand and mission by producing engaging, story-driven digital content, with a strong focus on video, for social platforms such as TikTok and Instagram. This role centres on amplifying the voices and experiences of young people on the Spear Programme, creating authentic content that inspires audiences including young people, supporters and corporate partners.

Based in London, but working with colleagues across Spear Centres nationwide, the Social Media Executive will create engaging content in line with our social media strategy. Working from concept to filming, editing, and performance analysis, this role will also empower coaches, alumni and ambassadors to produce user-generated content. The role requires creativity, adaptability to digital trends, and strong relationship-building skills to capture impactful stories.

• Salary: from £27,000 pro rata

An exciting role has arisen to join Westway Trust as a Teacher working part-time at an after-school club on a Traveller site in North Kensington. You will be an energetic and enthusiastic qualified teacher with experience of working with children from Early Years Foundation Stage through to Key Stage 2. You will play a key role in raising the children’s attainment and achievement at school, and will be committed to enhancing the lives of children in the local Traveller community.

Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

• To contribute to the raising of attainment and achievement of children from the Traveller community. With particular focus on reading, writing & spelling.
• To provide out of hours teaching at the mini-club across the Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, up to age 8.
• Help children access learning activities through a range of support strategies including ICT.
• Mostly one to one teaching but occasional teaching in groups
• To liaise closely with the Traveller Teacher/mentor at Oxford Gardens to share information about the children’s attainment levels, planning and the support that is needed for individual children.
• Provide objective and accurate feedback and reports if necessary on the children’s achievements and progress.
• To work in partnership with the Travellers’ families encouraging them to be involved in their children’s learning.
• Help set-up the classroom and clear down once lesson has finished.

Experience, knowledge and skills:

• Experience of teaching in one or more of the following key stages: Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 is desirable, but not essential.
• Experience working with children and their families from the Traveller community is desirable but not essential.
• Experience of working in partnership with schools, other support services and statutory agencies.
• Successful direct experience of teaching children with additional needs.
• Full working knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation relating to Traveller communities.
• Ability to self-evaluate learning needs of children and be able to actively seek additional learning opportunities.
• Possess good interpersonal/communication skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing in a range of situations.
• A good understanding of the local area would be highly desirable.

Qualification

• Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.

About the Service

The North London Rape Crisis (NLRC) offers range of services to women, trans women, and non-binary people aged 13 + who are experiencing or have experienced any form of sexual violence in their lives. We offer a safe and non-judgmental space to women living, working, or studying across 7 of the North London boroughs.

Our expert team provides helpline support, advocacy (ISVA) and ISVA support. We also provide one to one and group counselling to victims and survivors as well as short-term one to one counselling support to supportive family and friends. It is an inclusive service which supports women and girls of all ages, disabilities, sexualities, gender identities (including trans and non-binary), and religions. The service operates from 9am to 5pm, however, appointments can be arranged outside of these if required.

About the Role

The role of the Brief Intervention Independent Sexual Violence Advocate (ISVA) – CSA/CSE is with the Rape Crisis service in North London. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team to provide a pro-active emotional, practical and advocacy support for survivors who have experienced any form of sexual violence and are engaging (or considering engaging) with the criminal justice system. The role of Brief Intervention ISVA – CSA/CSE will primarily be working with survivors who have experienced childhood sexual abuse and/or exploitation who cannot access immediate ISVA support. Where there is capacity, the role will also provide short term interventions (3 months) for survivors of other types of sexual violence.

About You

The ideal candidate will have completed ISVA training, or have a willingness to undertake ISVA training, and have experience of supporting women affected by sexual violence. You will be proactive and able to adapt to new situations quickly. You will have a clear understanding of the effects of and issues facing women who have experienced sexual violence, as well as understanding of the Criminal Justice System. You will be able to communicate with people from a range of backgrounds and create good working relationship with service users as well as partner agencies.

Built in 1895 by William Waldorf Astor, the building is a no-expense-spared celebration of the greatest craftsmen of the day, and a joyful architectural fantasia.  Today, Two Temple Place is owned by registered charity The Bulldog Trust, and as part of our activities as a registered charity, we run a growing programme of cultural and community exhibitions, events and projects.  This public access is made possible through the busy calendar of exclusive commercial hire, comprising corporate dinners, weddings, product launches, receptions and filming. 

As the Premises Manager you will oversee the day-to-day care, safety and smooth running of our remarkable building. This role offers significant scope for development and hands‑on learning, working as the lead facilities professional within a small and collaborative organisation. You will manage all building services, planned and reactive maintenance and operational systems, ensuring the building is safe, efficient, compliant and welcoming to staff, tenants and the public. Alongside daily maintenance tasks, you will contribute to strategic conservation planning, sustainability goals and longer‑term capital projects.

This role will require occasional working hours flexibility in response to operational needs. We include a TOIL arrangement in our contract terms.
