We are looking for a Partnerships and Volunteer Recruitment Manager, who is based in Ealing, to recruit volunteer mentors both out in the community and through forming partnerships with key public and private sector organisations.
About the role
Our West London Partnerships and Volunteer Recruitment Manager (P&VRM) works closely with P&VRMs in Herts and Surrey and our Communications team, to promote the MCR programme to organisations and individuals. The purpose is to recruit committed volunteers who will mentor a young person in their school for one hour a week during term time. Based from home, our P&VRMs work closely with the wider MCR team ensuring a balance of autonomy and support. The role will involve extensive travel around West London as well as to meetings, events and the Hertfordshire office are all reimbursed.
Key responsibilities:

About the role
Corporate Partnerships are a vital income stream for Habitat for Humanity GB, and with the guidance of our Head of Corporate, the Corporate Partnership Manager will work to maximize fundraising opportunities and strengthen relationships with our current partners.
What the role involves
The Partnerships Manager will help to retain long term support and drive growth within in our portfolio for Habitat for Humanity GB. With an understanding of corporate partnerships and a passion for the charity sector and international humanitarian work, you will work as part of a team to ensure long-term relationships are fostered. Principle activities will include:
· Develop creative and innovative fundraising strategies for corporate partnerships, including writing proposals and pitches.
· Foster long-term relationships with partners through personalized and proactive engagement.
· Collaborate across the network to implement global partnership activations locally.
· Produce regular reports on progress, financial targets, and key learnings from fundraising efforts.
· Work with the Head of Corporate Fundraising to streamline the transition from new business prospects to account management.
· Collaborate with the Global Volunteering Executive to maximize fundraising and grow the Global Volunteering program.
· Partner with the New Business executive to develop marketing materials and co-deliver presentations.
· Manage partnership activations, such as Gingerbread House Day and World Habitat Day.
· Support partners' employee participation in challenge events.
· Assist with corporate partner communications during humanitarian emergencies.
· Provide day-to-day support to further corporate team goals, with flexibility to assist other teams.
· Represent Habitat for Humanity GB at external events.

A flexible approach

Duties
The role will involve a combination of stewardship and new business, helping us to secure support from more trusts, foundations and businesses who share our passion for transforming the lives of children in the communities with whom we work.
Key duties will be to:
- Prospect and research potential grantmakers and businesses who share our strategic objectives
- Take a relationships-based approach wherever possible, establishing warm relationships between partners and Chance for Childhood
- Provide input to the 2025-2030 fundraising strategy, using your experience and knowledge of the fundraising landscape to help us devise an ambitious but sustainable plan to safeguard our work for the next five years
- Maintain a strong pipeline of funding opportunities
- Draft compelling, creative and persuasive funding proposals
- Secure four, five and six figure grants from trusts and foundations
- Manage a small portfolio of trusts and corporate partners, maintaining an accurate calendar of reporting and stewardship expectations
- Write and submit accurate reports to funders’ deadlines
- Beyond meeting formal reporting requirements, provide outstanding informal stewardship to funders, developing strong relationships and increasing the chances of repeat funding
- Communicate skilfully across borders with our brilliant in-country programmes team to maintain a flow of information, stories and data for fundraising and reporting
- Accurately record communications using our fundraising CRM (Beacon) and enable reporting on expected income

Person specification:
A highly organised, detail-oriented self-starter who engenders credibility and trust with stakeholders, you will have good working knowledge of corporate and trusts and foundations fundraising, and very strong written and verbal communication skills.
To be the right fit for this role, you do not need to have a degree. You do not need experience in international development fundraising, although this would be an advantage.

Magic Breakfast is a registered charity that exists to make sure no child or young person is too hungry to learn. JOB PURPOSE
Magic Breakfast’s mission is to end child morning hunger in the UK now and for good the Philanthropy team’s role is to develop and deliver the charity's high net worth individual giving programme in line with Magic Breakfast’s strategic priorities to enable our organisational growth against our mission.
We are seeking to grow income through further cultivation and stewardship of our potential and existing donors. Our High Value Giving teams are forecast to collectively raise £5.1m in 2021/22, up from £4.6m two years ago in 2019/20. The team includes partnerships with charitable trusts and foundations, corporate organisations, and high-net-worth individuals.
Reporting into the Head of Philanthropy, this role will have a particular focus on ensuring that Magic Breakfast is offering the highest quality of donor care from start to finish, and building and developing our prospect pipeline.
We’re looking for a proactive person with excellent relationship building, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship skills as we seek to build our prospect pool, enhance or supporter journey and achieve our ambitious fundraising targets.
The Philanthropy Manager will have the opportunity to be innovative and creative, to create and test impactful donor journeys and engagement opportunities so Magic Breakfast’s supporters feel valued and can understand the transformational difference they are making to hungry children and their learning in the UK.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Income generation and donor stewardship and prospect development

Manage your own portfolio of donors, providing excellent stewardship and strategies to uplift and secure multi year donations

Work with Corporate, Trusts and Individual Giving teams to identify potential major donors and high value regular givers within Magic Breakfast’s donor portfolio and implement plans to develop these relationships;

As Funding and Grants Manager you’ll secure, manage and develop relationships with our funders and partners. Your remit will include every aspect of the grant, funding and partnership lifecycle from developing new opportunities to reporting on live delivery and evaluating completed work.
Working within a passionate and effective team, you’ll manage a portfolio of our funders, with a focus on corporates, ensuring key milestones and requirements are captured for each funder, reporting is timely and accurate, and our processes and systems are compliant.
You’ll play a key role in securing new partnerships and grants with a focus on private sector bids (corporate CSR, trusts and foundations) and with contributions to public sector bids (Department for Education, Combined Authorities).
You’ll manage the department’s events programme of 3-5 events per year, working closely with corporate partners to deliver highly successful events to engage current and potential funders deeply with our work.
You’ll work closely with our Head of Grant Management and Funding, as part of the Growth, Data and Operations team. This is an exciting team focusing on innovation and growth, including fundraising, new programmes, partnerships, data processes and research.

40% of children from disadvantaged backgrounds leave primary school in England each year unable to read to the expected standard. Chapter One is a fast-growing charity, with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills they need to thrive.
Many children fall behind with reading simply because they lack the opportunity to practise: we work to ensure that every child has 1:1 reading support at the time they need it most. Chapter One’s unique, online, reading support programme pairs struggling 5 to 8 year olds in over 11 areas of the UK with over 3000 volunteers who are recruited from a range of local and national businesses.
We are seeking a proactive, energetic and enthusiastic Corporate Partnerships Officer to be an integral part of a team which aims to both maximise corporate income and deliver an excellent partner experience. This is an opportunity for an early career professional to learn about charity-business partnerships in a dynamic, small charity which is flexible and agile.
Reporting to our Corporate Partnerships Manager, but also working closely with our Business Development Manager, you’ll support them both to deliver our annual volunteer targets and maintain our strong partner retention rate (currently 88%). This will involve supporting both the identification, acquisition, and onboarding of new partners, but also the account management of a portfolio of existing partners.
