DFN Project SEARCH offer an evidence-based supported internship model which takes place entirely in the workplace. The programmes provide continuous support to young adults with a learning disability, and autistic people who are aged between 16 – 24 with an Education Health and Care Plan, or equivalent, in their final year of education.
We are looking for skilled administrators to provide support for our Programme Delivery and Corporate Governance teams (although there wll be close working and crossover in the two roles). We are happy to discuss job share or part time working if preferred.
The roles are fully remote, with some attendance at team away days and conferences/meetings where required.

About the Role
As Advice Manager, you’ll take a strategic lead on developing our advice service to ensure it is accessible and high-quality, and also actively challenge the root causes of inequality. World Jewish Relief created the Specialist Training and Employment Programme (STEP) for refugees in 2016 and today we are the largest provider of specialist employment support to people who have experienced forced migration in the UK.STEP aims to support and empower people through a tailored employment programme that addresses the complex barriers that they face when preparing for and ultimately finding work in the UK.

You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations, including administrative coordination, data management, and frontline communication with participants and referral partners. You will play a vital role in ensuring the programme runs efficiently and that both participants and staff are supported with timely and accurate information.

Just Like Us (JLU) is the UK’s LGBT+ young people’s charity, empowering 18–25-year-olds to share their experiences in schools and improve LGBT+ inclusion through peer-led talks and ambassador programmes.
This joint role represents an exciting partnership between two organisations committed to racial justice, LGBTQ+ inclusion and systemic transformation.
1. Just Like Us (3.5 days/week): To support the delivery of Just Like Us’ Ambassador and School Talks programmes – including recruitment, training and coordination of young LGBT+ volunteers and engaging with schools to foster inclusive environments.
2. Black Queer & Thriving: There is potential for this role to expand in scope (up to 1.5 additional days per week), subject to funding. The role will be focusing on progressing our work around the natural learning journey, develop a model to move schools through the journey and track their progress. At the heart of this is overseeing and helping to deliver core elements of our school offer and working with the Wilder Schools Team and our school partners to develop new programmes and workshops.

Reports to: Children and Young People Service Manager
Location: Flexible - mainly home working with regular travel to areas of service, and some travel to 2wish Head Office in South Wales
Objective:
2wish exists to provide support to anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under.
Aims:
- Ensure every Emergency Department and Critical Care unit has a suitable bereavement suite
- Ensure that bereavement boxes are available at each of these hospitals
- Ensure that immediate bereavement support is available for all affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
- Provide a professional counselling service and other therapies for those affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
- Provide support to individuals who witness the sudden death of a child or young person
- Provide support and training to professionals from any sector who may be affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
- To advocate and campaign on behalf of suddenly bereaved families

2wish has been established since 2012 and has grown from strength to strength. During tis time, we have worked tirelessly to embed our service and ensure that the offer of support is made at the point of death.
We offer an immediate, consistent, high-quality and compassionate service to all individuals affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under in Wales and the bordering counties in England, including; Cheshire, Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, Avon and Somerset, with the plan to continue to roll out support to the whole of England.
We work in partnership with professionals who refer int the charity on behalf of families, so they don’t have to trawl through the internet for an organisation who may, or may not, be able to support. We provide immediate, and ongoing, support and are here for as long as our families need us.
Context of role:
The Children and Young People Coordinator will deliver our specialist support service for children and young people affected by sudden bereavement. You will be responsible for ensuring that our services are trauma-informed, age-appropriate, and responsive to the complex and individual needs of children and young people who have experienced profound loss.
The Children and Young People Coordinator will work closely with statutory colleagues in health, education, and social care to raise the profile of 2wish and deliver training and workshops to educators to equip them to support young people following a sudden death. The candidate will also develop resources for our website and collaborate with other charities supporting young people to provide a holistic and appropriate service to meet the need.
Main duties:
Service:
- To deliver the Children and Young People service including the delivery of casework support, and referrals into support pathways including therapeutic services, peer support services and other support agencies where appropriate.
- Ensure all services are child-focused, trauma-informed, inclusive, and responsive to need.
- Adhere to child protection and safeguarding practices and procedures in line with national guidelines.
- Utilise a multi-agency approach to supporting young people that priorities individual need and a holistic view to support.
- Build relationships with schools, mental health services, safeguarding boards and other agencies.
- Promote awareness of the charity’s work through training, presentations, workshops and collaboration oversee the delivery of training delivered to professional partners.
- Represent the charity and act as an ambassador for children and young people’s voices.
- To work closely with the Children and Young People Manager to ensure delivery and growth of services.
- Contribute to developing bereavement resources to support children and young people (and the professionals who work alongside them).
- Contribute to annual children and young people focused campaigns and events.
- To co-lead in the recruitment, retention and delivery of our Young Ambassador Program.
- To signpost and/or refer to other agencies as required that can provide support as needed.
General:

- To attend weekend and evening community events in support of the charity as necessary.
- Participate as and when required in team meetings and one-to-one meetings, and undertake, as appropriate, courses/training/other developmental activities, which is relevant to the role.
It is the nature of the work that tasks and responsibilities are in may circumstances unpredictable and varied. All employees are therefore expected to work in a flexible way and tasks, which are not specifically covered in their job description may have to be undertaken.
You will be subject to performance review, which will incorporate a review of the above duties and performance over the period.
This role is subject to a DBS check.
What we do for you:
Salary: Starting salary of £26,500 per annum
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: Normal office hours are 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday, although alternative hours may be worked with line manager agreement. Work outside office hours may sometimes be necessary and will be compensated for by time off in lieu.
Annual leave: 28 days plus bank holidays. Annual leave steadily increases after five years of service. Annual leave and statutory holidays are calculated on a pro rata basis where applicable.
Pension: 2wish operate a contributory pension scheme. 2wish will auto-enrol you into the scheme in accordance with it's auto-enrolment obligations. Full details of the scheme will be provided to you once you are enrolled, including the minimum level of contributions that you will be required to make during your membership (current contributions - employer 3% and employee 5%).
Mileage: A fixed rate allowance is payable for agreed mileage undertaken on 2wish business in a private vehicle, over and above your usual journey to your workplace/s.
Location: 2wish currently offers a form of hybrid working and this will continue for the foreseeable future. This post is home and office based with travel across the region you are covering.

You'll play a vital role in developing work experience opportunities for adults with learning disabilities as well as supporting our team members into permanent employment. This is a new role which will require you to show heaps of flexibility and learn-as-we-go in order to shape and develop our impact into the future.

You'll support and develop our team. This means:
- managing a caseload of between 6 and 10 people who are neurodivergent and/or have a learning disability, and who are looking to move into supportive employment locally
- preparing our team members for long-term employment by supporting them to understand their skills, aspirations and goals by offering employment profiling, job matching, action planning and skill development opportunities
- working to a minimum target of 2 adults moving into long term employment by the end of your contract
- undertaking monthly work coaching sessions for team members to develop and upskill them in brewing and bar management skills
- supporting team members to reduce work-related barriers such as travel-to-work, better-off calculations, disclosure of health & wellbeing needs and budgeting
- providing in-work support to assist team members in maintaining and retaining employment, including frequent in-person meetings during the first few months of a successful employment match

You will develop our wider employability programme. This means:
- organising and facilitating regular employment taster days for people with learning disabilities looking to move into work in order to raise aspirations and developing an understanding of the workplace
- planning & running CV development workshops to help adults with learning disabilities prepare for the world of work
- developing our evidence-based employability model, drawing on good practice from other sectors, in order to constantly improve and refine the model
As part of your 20 hours per week, you will also be required to undertake one evening or weekend shift per week of up to 6 hours, as a Taproom Supervisor.
What we need from you (the essentials):
- experience of working or volunteering with neurodivergent adults or people with learning disabilities
- experience of leading, teaching, coaching, mentoring or otherwise supporting groups of people
- an understanding of the barriers to employment experienced by adults with learning disabilities
- proven experience of meeting and exceeding outcomes and targets

You will support the development and delivery of our schools, youth centre and detached programmes. This will consist of one to ones and group work with young people within schools, detached work in designated areas as well as centre-based provision. You will be responsible for building strong, professional relationships with young people and adapting and coordinating a service around their needs. You will work in partnership with the other Youth Workers on the team, the Youth & Community Manager, schools and youth organisations around the county as well as the wider voluntary sector and statutory partners
You will work also in the community to identify and support volunteers to become engaged within our services and provision. You will collate a range of data, information and imagery that creates evidence of your work and the impact it is making not only to young people but also to the wider community.
