About the Role
This is an exciting role that will lead the successful growth and delivery of the Smart Works Pop Up Shops and sales, other fundraising events and the community fundraising programme. Managing the Events and Community Manager(s), you will work closely with the Wardrobe and wider Partnerships Team to deliver exceptional events, raise vital funds and secure stock for clients and fundraising.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a robust strategy of Pop up shops and Sales, Events and Community Fundraising, to generate £800k+ of in-year income, and bolster future financial and community engagement opportunities.
The candidate will also work closely with the Head of Wardrobe and Retail Partnerships Manager, growing partnerships with retail brands which support Smart Works’ activities.
We seek a Head with experience in delivering end-to-end events, as well as demonstrable experience of fundraising through retail activations. An ability to work under pressure, deliver to tight deadlines, juggle conflicting priorities and exceed set targets will be key.

The role and responsibilities
As New Business Lead for UK schools, you will play a pivotal role in growing our school partner base which will enable us to support even more young people with making informed decisions about their next steps.
You will need to be target-driven and proactive. While you will be fully supported by the UK schools team, you will also have the autonomy to lead your own campaigns and projects.
Your key responsibilities:

Strategic Outreach: Design tailored campaigns to engage Headteachers, Careers Leads and Trust Executives in a smart and compelling way.

Lead Generation: Communicate with non-partner schools and colleges to explain how Unifrog supports student outcomes and Gatsby Benchmark and PSHE compliance, and secure online demonstrations for our Area Managers.

Inbound Lead Management: Act as the first port of call for all new partnership enquiries from individual schools, colleges and Multi-Academy Trusts.

Collaboration: Work closely with our UK schools team to understand regional challenges and identify how your outreach can best support the growth of their specific territories.

Data Analysis and Reporting: Generate custom reports on our CRM database to identify opportunities for growth, cleanse Mutli-Academy Trust accounts, and analyse campaign performance.

Market Intelligence: Develop an in-depth understanding of the UK ed-tech landscape and the evolving statutory requirements for careers guidance in schools.
Working together
You’ll be working with the UK schools team, and line managed by the Head of UK Sales. You’ll work closely with our Area Managers, and also have the opportunity to work with other teams across the company, including UK Primary Schools, Marketing, Employers and HE.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on the frontline of policy advocacy and development in child health. As Head of Policy and Research you'll be responsible for overseeing the development of our policy positions and all related outputs, as well as the research that underpins our campaigns and advocacy, across England, Scotland and abroad. RESPONSIBILITIES
Research

Work with the Director of Strategy & Delivery and Research Manager to plan research projects and support their delivery, ensuring they support policy calls and reflect young peoples’ experiences.

Lead the translation of Bite Back’s research into high quality outputs including reports, briefings and submissions.

Work with campaigns, communications and content teams to turn research findings into high impact creative communications for a range of audiences.

Serve as a primary spokesperson for our research including in media placements, speaking slots and government evidence sessions.
Policy development

Lead on the development of Bite Back’s policy positions in key and emerging areas, ensuring young peoples’ views and experiences are fed in at every stage.

Lead the development of all policy outputs including submissions, consultation responses and briefings, ensuring they are evidence-based and reflect young peoples’ voices.

Lead the technical policy liaison with stakeholders and experts in the field to gather evidence and critically assess the Bite Back’s positions.
Evidence

Keep abreast of new evidence on key areas relating to nutrition, climate and health and consider the implications for Bite Back’s policy and relevant activity.

Collaborate internally to provide knowledge and advice on policy and evidence issues with colleagues and the youth board.

Review and sign off key outputs to ensure they reflect the latest evidence and data.
Stakeholder engagement

Build and maintain relationships with a range of external stakeholders to support Bite Back’s influencing agenda, including with senior government policymakers, academia, WHO and other charities in England, Scotland, and abroad.

Represent Bite Back on a range of alliances, coalitions and partnerships.

Deputise for the Director of Strategy & Delivery when needed.
Leadership

Line management of Research Manager and Impact & Evaluation manager, with a dotted line to the Policy & Engagement Executive and Senior Programmes & Policy Manager for Scotland.

Operate as a member of the extended leadership team, collaborating with other Heads and the Directors to ensure research and policy considerations are embedded seamlessly into campaigns, communications and programmes.

Lead the policy and research strategy development for Bite Back in new geographies, providing visionary technical leadership in how we expand to new countries across the UK and abroad.

About you

I Choose Freedom provides safe refuge, advocacy and specialist support to adult and child survivors of domestic abuse across East and West Surrey. Each year, we support around 250 survivors to rebuild their lives and find lasting safety.
The Role
We’re looking for an ambitious, relationship-driven Community Fundraiser to help grow our sustainable income and ensure survivors can access lifesaving refuge.
As part of a small, close-knit fundraising team, you’ll develop and deliver a vibrant programme of community and events fundraising. From challenge events and matched-funding campaigns to seasonal appeals, you’ll play a central role in engaging supporters, generating income and shaping future fundraising activity.
Key Responsibilities
Income Generation & Strategy
- Help develop and deliver an annual community fundraising plan
- Generate income from individuals, community groups, schools and local businesses

About the Opportunity

As a Senior Lead in Individual Giving, you will shape and deliver multi-channel acquisition activity, managing significant multi-million-pound media budgets and agency partnerships to recruit new supporters at scale. Our flagship Crisis at Christmas appeal is a key moment in the year, and you will use it as a springboard to attract new donors and bring them into the wider movement. With a clear focus on lifetime value, you’ll attract the right audiences and ensure our acquisition activity is both cost-effective and supporter centred. Currently our acquisition programme consists of DRTV, Digital, Door Drop, Inserts and Face to Face fundraising.
You will lead a newly formed high-performing acquisition team of five and have the opportunity to shape the team’s strategy, ways of working and approach to acquisition at Crisis. About the role
The Association strives to deliver well-evidenced, effective and continually improved welfare and wellbeing services which achieve maximum reach and impact throughout the RAF community. The Services Development Manager will provide strategic leadership for the design, development implementation and enhancement of a portfolio of innovative welfare and wellbeing services.
This is a newly created position where the postholder will lead the dedicated development team, setting a clear vision and direction, fostering a culture of cocreation and coproduction to ensure that the voice and lived experience of the RAF community inform all stages of design and implementation. Primary responsibilities include;
- Lead the creation and implementation of new welfare and wellbeing services, managing projects from research and concept development to launch and initial establishment.
- Support service delivery teams to evolve and develop existing welfare and wellbeing services, ensuring robust planning, implementation, and stakeholder communication.
- Foster a creative and results-orientated culture, working closely with senior internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities and emerging needs. Ensure evidence-based decision making and deliver projects within agreed scope, timescales and budget.
- Lead, manage and develop a high performing team, fostering a culture of empowerment and continuous improvement.
- Facilitating effective meetings, workshops and strategic planning sessions, using a collaborative and solutions‑focused approach.
- Establish and maintain effective policies and procedures (including quality assurance, risk management/mitigation and application of lessons learned) to assure the development and piloting of high-quality wellbeing services.
About you
We need you to hold a degree or have relevant specialist experience in the wellbeing sector. Its crucial that you are highly skilled in shaping service development strategies and leading the design, development and delivery of products and services. An innovative and influential individual will thrive in this role guiding cross functional teams and influencing decision making. Previous line management is essential as you will be leading, coaching and developing high performing teams to deliver impactful high-quality projects. Financial acumen is required to develop financial business proposals and managing a budget. A UK driving licence is essential for this role as you will be an Ambassador for the Association and may have to travel to events, meetings and workshops occasionally.

Location: This role is office based located near Russell Square and Chancery Lane, London.
The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) is a charity and membership society for those working or interested in tropical medicine and global health. We currently have around 2,000 members and Fellows from more than 100 countries, with a network of more than 10,000 involved with our work in some way.
RSTMH currently publishes two peer-reviewed scientific journals, Transactions of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (TRSTMH) and International Health. TRSTMH was launched in 1908, is published monthly, and is a hybrid journal. International Health was launched in 2009, is published bi-monthly, and is Open Access. In September 2025, we announced the development of a new journal looking at the use of Artificial Intelligence in Global Health, which will be launching around May 2026. All three journals are published by Oxford University Press (OUP) and are supported by a global team of dedicated Editorial Boad members.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with relevant publishing experience to support the operation of our three academic journals. The role will involve providing administrative and editorial support to the Managing Editor, liaising with our authors, reviewers, external editors, and publishing partner, contributing to and - where appropriate - leading on journal development initiatives, and collaborating with internal teams within the RSTMH.
The role
- Check new submissions to ensure that they are in scope and formatted as per journal guidelines, before assigning to handling editors.
- Check revised submissions are formatted as per journal guidelines, before assigning to handling editors
- Check and export accepted manuscripts to production team at OUP, working with the Editors in Chief (EiC) to ensure all required information is included.
- Monitor manuscripts in process, working with editors, reviewers, authors and Managing Editor to identify and reduce unnecessary delays for authors.
- Be the first point of contact for authors, editors, and reviewers by monitoring the journals inbox, helping to resolve any disputes that arise within the peer review process or escalating to Managing Editor, as necessary within agreed timings.
- Help manage the relationships with RSTMH Editorial Boards through regular communication (e.g., Newsletters) in addition to reminders/assignment emails sent through the submission system.
- Assist the Managing Editor with administrative tasks for the journals including coordinating meetings Editorial Boards, publisher, etc., setting up webinars, taking minutes of key meetings.
- Oversee reporting on all aspects of manuscript processing and handling editor metrics (turnaround times, acceptance rates, etc.,) and share these with a number of stakeholders
- Work with Editorial Board to identify articles with wider interest and highlight them to Managing Editor, EiCs, RSTMH team and publisher, and consider ways of further promoting them to raise the profile of the journals and RSTMH.
- Utilise social media and other digital publishing technologies (X, LinkedIn, blogs, podcasts, etc) to promote published articles/new issues and raise the profile of the journals.

- Help ensure the work and outputs of the journals are integrated with other areas of RSTMH, through sharing information across systems
- Support the Managing Editor with the implementation of RSTMH strategic objectives and OUP Development Plans.
- Assist the Managing Editor with new business including researching and identifying authors and groups for potential commissioned articles or supplements
- Support the Managing Editor on journal development initiatives (e.g., Ed Board recruitment, mentoring), taking the lead on projects where appropriate.
- Keep up to date with publishing trends more generally and use this information to make recommendations to Managing Editor/EiCs to improve the efficiency of existing processes.
- Support and contribute to wider RSTMH activities when required to do so (e.g., RSTMH Annual Meeting).
Person Specification
Essential
- Passion and commitment to the work and goals of the Society
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an academic publishing role, in a learned society, membership organisation, or publisher.
- Knowledge of major publishing trends, academic conventions, and editorial processes.
- At least 2 years’ experience of using a journal management system such as Editorial Manager, ScholarOne, etc, as well as MS office products.
- Ability to work effectively, both as part of a team and independently.
- Excellent time-management and organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet multiple deadlines.
- Strong and proven communication skills, both written and verbal, good attention to detail, and the ability to converse professionally with a range of stakeholders.
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent), ideally in a relevant subject.

This role provides vital operational and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of CALM’s fundraising activities and the delivery of exceptional supporter care. Stewardship:

Monitor and help deliver the multi channel supporter enquiries process, ensuring response rate is in line with CALM’s SLA and fundraisers are directed to the appropriate support.

Proactively support fundraisers, when directed, throughout their journey, to support with the effective planning and delivery of supporter activities.

Support with the planning, set up and delivery of stewardship events (both CALM owned and supporter led), assisting with logistics, supporter communications and delivery as required.

Support the wider team in the development, optimisation, testing and ongoing maintenance of stewardship journeys, including carrying out key messaging updates to core email journeys across all Fundraising streams when needed.
