Overall job purpose
The Site Coordinator will be solely responsible for delivering events at this stunning Grade I listed church. From the initial enquiry through to final delivery, they will oversee the planning and coordination of third-party hires, ensuring every detail is handled with care and precision while providing seamless and functional hires of this wonderful historical building. Working alone, the Site Coordinator will ensure there is continued access to the building for community groups and hirers, whilst overseeing all aspects of the day to day administration of the venue; This includes site operations, record keeping, event management, hire marketing and site presentation.

The Role
The Executive Director will provide strategic leadership, operational management and external representation for the charity. Working Arrangements
This is a permanent role, offered as either:
● Part-time: 4 days per week, or.
● Full-time: 37 hours per week.

The role is based at Canal Wharf, Eshton Road, Gargrave, BD23 3PN, with some flexibility around working hours and location by agreement. Regular travel across the Yorkshire Dales and occasional evening and weekend working will be required. Ideally, the successful candidate will live in, or within approximately 30 miles of, the perimeter of the Yorkshire Dales.

● 22 days annual leave, rising to 27 days after five years’ service, plus English bank holidays, pro rata for part-time hours.

1.Income strategy and delivery
Lead the development and delivery of a clear, evidence‑based income growth strategy, diversifying and growing income streams to deliver the charity’s agreed income ambitions and reduce reliance on any single source.
2.Integrated fundraising, marketing, and communications
Hold full accountability for all fundraising, marketing and communications activity, ensuring strategy, brand, propositions, campaigns, and channels are integrated, coherent and focused on measurable impact.
3.Supporter growth and engagement
Grow and deepen relationships with supporters, including donors, volunteers, ambassadors and advocates, increasing participation, loyalty, and lifetime value in line with our strategic ambitions.
4.Insight, data, and performance discipline
Use insight, data, and performance management to inform decision‑making, strengthen propositions, improve return on investment, and give the CEO and Board a clear grip on income and engagement performance.
5.Leadership, culture, and capability
Lead and line‑manage all fundraising, marketing and communications staff, setting clear priorities, expectations and accountability, and building a confident, high‑performing culture aligned with the organisation’s values and Principles.
6.Organisational leadership and profile‑raising

About the role
This role sits within our Partnership Management team in the Income Generation directorate you will be working with the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager to deliver strategic partnership activity in line with Shelter’s organisation goals. You will play a key part in the success of leading on our employee fundraising within the private sector and engagement activities for one of our large existing partnerships that generates over £2m+ income for Shelter and lead on the success of managing a diverse portfolio of five and six figure partnerships across multiple sectors delivering a high quality for colleague, customer fundraising and commercial campaigns. It will involve presenting Shelter’s cause effectively to a wide range of audiences internally and externally through various forms of communication.
The role requires a proactive approach and creative flair developing and executing new partnership activities to align with our targets to drive these forwards. It will involve leading and collaborating on additional projects that support the wider Corporate Partnerships team strategy and managing elements of partners finances with completing income forecasting, updating our supporter database and supporting the team.

You will be proactive and have excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to engage and win people over and convey complex ideas succinctly, confidently and persuasively.
