We are pleased to offer a fixed-term opportunity within the Lloyds Bank Foundation due to the current Regional Manager taking a secondment.

This is a part-time (4 days per week) position, working from home, with regular travel across North East & Cumbria and to London. The post holder must live in the North East or Cumbria.

About you

You’ll have extensive knowledge of the voluntary sector, experience supporting local charities, and excellent relationship-building and organisational skills. You’ll be proactive, collaborative, and comfortable navigating change.

You’ll be responsible for managing a portfolio of relationships with charitable partners and collaborating with other charities.You will support our charity partners in becoming more resilient and stronger, enabling them to thrive beyond the duration of their relationship with us.  You will do this by building trusted relationships with them, supporting them to identify their most pressing organisational challenges; and help them overcome the challenges by building the knowledge, skills and capabilities of staff and trustees.  You will work with charities, CICs, and partnerships to identify the most appropriate form of support to respond to the identified priorities.  Further information about LBFEW and our approach to supporting charity partners can be found on our website under the 'Development' section. 

You’ll be the face of the Foundation in the area, able to build strong and trusting relationships and be an advocate for community organisations across the patch. You’ll have a good understanding of the operating environment in the North East & Cumbria with well-established networks across the patch. You will also play a pivotal role in sharing learning, intelligence and insights to ensure the Foundations’ strategy development, delivery and relationship with the Lloyds Banking Group considers regional needs and the operating context of our funded partners.

Summary of the role:

The Country Finance Manager (CFM) will provide strategic leadership and oversight of all financial management, compliance, and risk control functions for Muslim Aid’s Sudan Country Program. The role ensures financial integrity, accountability, and effective stewardship of donor resources in alignment with Muslim Aid’s global policies, donor regulations, and Sudanese legal frameworks.

As a key member of the Country Leadership Team (CLT), the CFM will contribute to strategic decision-making, institutional strengthening, and the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and cost-effective humanitarian and development programming.

About the Role:

1. Oversee the implementation of robust financial systems, controls, and reporting mechanisms.
2. Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for both HQ and donors.
3. Oversee cash flow management, fund requests, and banking operations to maintain optimal liquidity.
4. Ensure project financial reports for donor and partners are prepared according to donor requirements; submit reports to the regional office for review prior to submitting to the donor.
5. Coordinate with the auditors to complete required statutory audits.
6. Support Program Managers to strengthen networks in the Muslim Aid Sudan’s collaboration areas. 

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. Educated to bachelor’s degree level. Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA Accountant.
2. Understanding of development programmes design, implementation, and evaluation.
3. Experience of successfully financial management and dealing with institutional donors and international donors.
4. Proven experience and knowledge of effective budgetary control and grant management.
5. Good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with people at various levels.
6. Strong and well-developed analytical skills coupled with experience of writing quality proposals and reports. Strong analytical abilities.

Join Universify as our Programme Co-ordinator! This is a great opportunity for someone experienced in working with young people and interested in joining a friendly and passionate team to deliver a core aspect of the charity’s objectives. 

Who we are

Universify exists to create a fairer, more equal society where every young person can fulfil their potential regardless of their background. We equip young people from low socio-economic and underrepresented backgrounds with the skills, knowledge, and belief to fulfil their potential through education.

We work primarily with Year 10-11 students (aged 14-16) to increase their aspirations, improve GCSE attainment and to gain a greater understanding of post-18 pathways, particularly university, to make a more informed decision about their future. To achieve our aims, we currently run two year-long programmes. Our main Oxford programme includes a week-long residential in summer of Year 10, a 3-day GCSE-focused revision residential in the spring of Year 11, and regular online coaching. Our Step Ahead Bristol programme consists of a calendar of day visits in Bristol and Oxford in Year 10 and 11 and regular online coaching. 

The role

As the Programme Coordinator, you will work within the programme team to co-ordinate and deliver our national programme and communities programme for over 100 participants. You will also support the planning and oversight of our activities for partner-led programmes. 

Main Duties

• Preparing and delivering our programmes
  • Organise programme logistics- including managing room bookings, kit preparation, individuals’ requirements
  • Co-ordinate recruitment and onboarding for students, tutors and volunteers
  • Manage general enquiries and administration alongside the programme team
• Coordinating the coaching programme and managing enquiries
• Support the delivery of external partner programmes including outreach days, and alumni programme 
• Provide safeguarding support as part of the charity's safeguarding team and providing on-course safeguarding support to students and volunteers
• Co-lead the student council alongside the Volunteer Officer to promote students’ views in the charity’s decision-making 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Required skills and characteristics

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with different audiences 
• Proactive, adaptable and self-motivated; a quick learner who enjoys working in a small team
• Ability to create and maintain relationships with a range of external stakeholders, especially schools and young people

• Experience of working with young people, particularly vulnerable groups, including delivering programmes

• Experience in managing a large project independently; ready to take the initiative to deliver a project to a high standard 
• Experience and confidence in using MS Office and Excel 
• Secure knowledge and experience of child safeguarding policy and practice. Level 3 Safeguarding Lead qualification or a willingness to obtain this as part of the role

Desirable experience and skills 

Ideally, candidates would have experience in a few of the following areas:

• Experience managing residential programmes or large-scale events as part of a team. Experience of designing educational programmes.
• Experience of working with schools and universities
• Coaching expertise and ability to train coaches
• Experience of using the basic functions of a CRM and a willingness to build this knowledge
• Some data analysis skills

Details:

We are looking for someone with sound, technical knowledge of the relationship between socio-economic deprivation and health outcomes. Someone with experience working on projects that use evidence and research-based approaches to address health inequity at scale. You will have the skills and expertise to help us work at a system-level to transform practice in hospice care, as well as increase reach. 

You’ll be supported by teams across our organisation to ensure Hospice UK collects the data and evidence required to inform our policy work in this area, and help transform hospice practice. 

Perhaps you’re working in palliative care already - or you might bring strong health equity expertise from another speciality. 

Either way, you’ll become part of a close, 17-strong Programmes Team at Hospice UK. We work together and alongside external experts, to design and deliver evidence-based programmes, projects and events, which help hospices provide the very best care in their communities.

o Drive Iterative Planning & Adjustment: Maintain and continuously update the integrated programme plan, rapidly facilitating adjustments in project direction and scope as learnings emerge from Workstream Leads and the investment team.

o Act as the dedicated PMO Execution Lead for the entire Essentials Programme, providing centralised control, reporting, and rigour across all five Workstreams.

o Supporting the Managing Director – Transformation and the leads of all the programme workstreams in co-ordinating activities and keeping the whole programme on track

o Establishing and operating systems to track the realisation of benefits from the programme

o Ensuring that key choices and decisions are escalated to the right forums at the right time

o Establish effective technology and systems to support programme management

Effective project management of strategy implementation:

oSupporting the Managing Director – Strategy operationalising key aspects of our 2026-30 strategy

oEstablishing and embedding systems within teams to track and the progress of priority projects and cross-BSC initiatives aligned to our new strategy

About the role

Reporting in to the Head of Impact for the Multi-Country Cluster (MCC), the Partnership & Strategy Lead for the West & Central Africa region is s responsible for leading a team working across the cluster and across national boundaries, ensuring that the cluster has a wide and diverse programme portfolio of Civil Society partners contributing to Christian Aid’s global strategy and aligning with organisational values and goals to maximise impact.

The post-holder will ensure that all work is carried out in line with Christian Aid partnership approach and standards, and ensures demonstrable best practice in programme delivery, including quality and consistency.

As a key member of the MCC Senior Leadership Team, the role collaborates closely with the other leads within the cluster and with global programme colleagues to ensure that advocacy is rooted in community experience for impact, and that learning is carried out in a way that is mutually beneficial to CA and our partners.

About the role

This new Lead role sits within the Design Council Programmes Team led by the Chief Design Officer and has responsibility for leading the development and embedding of our funding strategy. Coordinating income generation of ~£2m per year including securing £250k of philanthropic (T&Fs, corporates, other sources) funding in the first year, the role also has the objective of growing overall revenue but in line with the refreshed Design Council business and funding model to ensure it remains strategically aligned and sustainable.​

Reporting to the Head of Programmes with a dotted line to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for oversight of the overall revenue pipeline, working across the organisation to have full line of sight of funding opportunities and partnerships and ensure a consistent approach to how we generate revenue. ​​

You will drive an effective stakeholder engagement plan, working closely with the Communications team to ensure campaigns and events help build and maintain a strong network of funder relationships and strengthening our profile as a charity. ​

The scope covers directly securing philanthropic/corporate partner funding as well as supporting wider commercial income generation and also ensuring they are all anchored in our Theory of Change and enable long term income growth.​

Our core programmes of work support delivery of our Theory of Change encompassing Skills, Capability, Innovation and Research. We are looking to create and grow funding partnerships through a variety of activities including events, learning and training and world leading research, and the Fundraising and Partnerships Lead will play a critical role in developing funding relationships, securing them, both directly and also supporting the wider team.

Key Responsibilties 

 1. New Funding Generation and Planning​

• Lead the identification of new revenue opportunities across the range of Design Council propositions with the objective of growing total revenue base, in line with the Design Council funding strategy and business model​

• Overall accountability for converting philanthropic (T&Fs, corporate sponsorship etc) opportunities into secured new partnership funding and supporting on conversion of funding partnerships for other commercial (paid project) work​

• Working closely with Chief Design Office, Head of Programmes and in particularly the Programme Leads to ensure each area of work (Skills, Capability, Innovation and Research) has an appropriate funding plan including a roadmap for future development​

• Support Programme Leads, Head of Communications and CDO in identifying opportunities to commercialise core propositions and other DC assets in line with our Design for Planet ethos and market-making approach​

• Overall owner of marketing and other funding collateral to support Programme Leads in growing revenue from their respective propositions as well as new promotion of Design Council for potential new funders and other partners, and working with the Communications team to develop and maintain it​​

2. Partner Cultivation and Stewardship​

• Personally build and maintain relationships with existing partners ensuring consistent engagement and communication ​

• Identify, research, and qualify potential philanthropic and corporate funding partner prospects​

• Develop and implement partner stewardship plans including communication approach and in person engagement, including long term relationships that can secure multi-year significant levels of funding as well as growing it over time​

• Seek out, regularly attend and drive external events and meetings to build personal relationships and extend partner network​​

3. Grant and Commercial Proposal Development & Bid Writing​

• Support Programme Leads in researching and identifying potential grant and commercial opportunities from foundations and other private or public organisations​

• Lead engagement with potential funders in terms of submission of new proposals for all partner-funded work and support Programme Leads to ensure consistency and coherence for our paid project work​

• Support and sometimes lead writing compelling grant proposals and commercial bids, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and goals. ​

• Lead or support others on tactics to ensure bids are successfully converted

4. Event Planning and Execution​

• Assist Senior Events Manager with organizing fundraising events and other events designed to support future revenue growth through funding partners​

• Regularly scan the external environment for relevant external events Design Council should be attending​

• Ensure appropriate marketing collateral is developed and maintained to support and promote Design Council events aimed at fundraising​

• Be a key DC representative at events, maximising the potential of income opportunities and raising the profile of the organisation and its objectives​​

5. Data Management and Reporting​

• Overall process owner for managing the pipeline of partnership opportunities across both revenue-generating prospects and non-revenue generating prospects​

• Overall custodian of the funding pipeline including holding Programme Managers to account to ensure accurate maintenance of CRM records ​

• Working closely with COO and Head of Finance & Operations to ensure accurate and timely reporting and effective internal meetings to track status of the funding pipeline​

• Support Programme Managers in researching funding trends and market changes​​

6. Line Manager for Partnerships Programme Manager​

• Provide quality line management guidance and support to the Partnerships Programme Manager, ensuring clear and motivating goals and regularly and meaningful feedback​

You will be ambitious for Design Council’s aspiration of reaching £8m revenue by 2031 and be able to demonstrate commercial acumen and experience of developing revenue generation strategies and converting opportunities into secured income. ​

You will also know that fundraising  is challenging and competitive, so you will be resilient and experienced in building the relationships that can secures six-figure+ multi-year income. • Lead the delivery of core programmes and our international award, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy, funding commitments, KPIs, and quality standards.
• Oversee programme planning, scheduling, logistics, and budget management with Programme Managers.
• Monitor delivery performance and budgets, ensuring effective processes and accurate reporting to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
• Ensure all programme activities meet agreed funding KPIs and deliverables.
• Work across the organisation, including closely with the Marketing & Communications team, to support effective delivery of programmes and partnerships.
• Support the Director of Programmes & Partnerships in developing and implementing a partnership strategy, cultivating new relationships to strengthen programme funding and delivery.

Programme Design & Impact

• Contribute to the design and continuous improvement of The Diana Award’s programmes and new initiatives, ensuring high quality and relevance.
• Provide thought leadership on effective youth interventions, embedding evidence and sector insights into delivery practice.
• Oversee development of programmes in line with The Diana Award’s Theory of Change, mission and vision.
• Oversee programme development that meaningfully and inclusively engages young people in design, delivery, and evaluation, in alignment with the The Diana Award’s Youth Charter and Youth Voice Strategy.

Leadership & Representation

• Lead and manage the programmes team, ensuring strong performance, accountability, and quality across all delivery.
• Actively participate in programme strategy and coordinate meetings within the directorate.
• Represent The Diana Award with donors, partners, and external stakeholders, promoting strong relationships and the organisation’s profile.
• Work closely with Marketing and Communications, Operations, and other internal teams to ensure smooth programme delivery, including coordinating logistics, communications, storytelling, and reporting requirements.
• Oversee young people’s involvement in external and internal events, ensuring participation is in line with safeguarding practices and The Diana Award’s Youth Charter principles.
• Undertake site visits to monitor quality, capture learning, and ensure delivery reflects programme standards.

People Management & Safeguarding

• Supervise and support direct reports, setting clear objectives, providing regular feedback, and fostering a positive, high-performing team culture.
• Promote staff wellbeing and model healthy work–life balance practices.
• Act as a Designated Safeguarding Lead, embedding best practice and ensuring robust safeguarding-by-design across all programme activities
• Work with the Director of Operations to maintain strong safeguarding systems and contribute to the Safeguarding Committee.

Grant & Partnership Management

• Oversee programme and grant management processes, including budget creation and donor compliance, in collaboration with Fundraising and Operations teams.
• Support the development of funding proposals and donor reports, ensuring accurate data collection and impact reporting.
• Maintain positive relationships with delivery partners and funders to ensure strong, transparent collaboration.
• Provide clear, timely, and accurate monitoring, evaluation, and reporting to funders and stakeholders, demonstrating impact, accountability, and progress KPIs.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS

Essential

• Significant experience leading complex programmes from design to delivery within youth, education, or employability settings.
• Proven experience in leading and motivating teams delivering a portfolio of programmes
• Track record of delivering multiple programmes to time, budget and quality.
• Experience designing and refining programmes & processes based on evidence, evaluation, and youth voice.
• Knowledge of impact measurement and management in youth or education contexts.
• Strong partnership management skills, with experience working with funders and partners to deliver impact for young people.
• Ability to represent the organisation externally, build credibility, and influence senior stakeholders.
• Understanding of inclusive and accessible design for engaging diverse young people.
• Commitment to staff wellbeing, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
• Experience of contributing to fundraising bids.
• Experience of managing and overseeing budgets as well as budget reporting to SLT level.
• Confident using CRM or programme management systems to track delivery and outcomes.
• Strong working knowledge of safeguarding in youth settings, including risk management and escalation processes.
