About Us:
Keswick Town Council, acting as Fitz Park Trust, has recently announced plans to launch a fundraising campaign to support the creation of a brand-new, inclusive play area in Fitz Park, Keswick. The new play area will offer a modern, safe, and fun environment for children of all ages and abilities to engage in physical activity, imaginative play, and outdoor exploration.
Fitz Park is central to the town’s outdoor life, and is a one of the town’s most valued outdoor spaces, providing both locals and tourists with a beautiful area to enjoy nature, to play and take part in recreational activities.
We are looking for an exceptional individual to help us deliver the funds required to bring this project to life, seeking both public and corporate donations, applying for grants and leading on all communications regarding this project.
Role Overview:
As a Fundraiser, you will play a key role in driving the success of our fundraising efforts. You will be responsible for developing and executing fundraising campaigns, engaging with existing and potential donors, and ensuring we meet our financial targets for the duration of the contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and deliver fundraising campaigns to support key initiatives and projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with current and potential donors, sponsors, and partners.
- Research and identify new fundraising opportunities, including grant applications and corporate partnerships.
- Manage donor communication, ensuring they receive timely and impactful updates.
- Organise and attend events and activities to raise funds and increase brand awareness.
We’re looking for someone with proven experience of fundraising or a similar role, and of project management work. You will thrive on developing innovative fundraising ideas and campaigns.

- Be proactive within your area to identify opportunities for fundraising and raise awareness of the Charity.
- Manage supporters effectively using our CRM system (OneCRM) to provide excellent stewardship.
- Meet agreed financial targets, provide monthly financial progress reports, and put mitigation plans in place for any shortfall.
- Promote BHF’s activities and campaigns to raise awareness and drive income.

The territory also extends to the charming locales of Monmouthshire, Torfaen, and the Vale of Glamorgan. Occasionally, the role will also require support in the scenic North Wales region.
You'll need to live in South East Wales region or be able to relocate to this region.
This role requires regular travel within the area, and occasionally to other parts of the UK.
You must have a full UK driving licence at the time of application with access to your own vehicle.
There will be a requirement for flexible out of hours working to support occasional evening and weekend activity. You will be compensated for this with time off in lieu.

About the Role
The Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager will play a key role in driving income growth through philanthropy and strategic partnerships across Northern Ireland. Reporting to the Northern Ireland Director, with a dotted line to the UK Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships, this role will contribute to the delivery of an ambitious growth strategy. The post-holder will build and steward relationships with major donors, corporate partners, and philanthropic organisations to ensure alignment with national and regional objectives. They will also lead and support their direct report, ensuring a collaborative, high-performing fundraising team.
About You
You will have proven experience securing high-value philanthropic gifts from trusts, foundations, major donors, and corporate partners. You will have excellent communication skills and have the ability to build strong relationships and negotiate. You are strategic and results-oriented, with a track record of meeting and exceeding fundraising targets. To succeed in this role, you will be experienced with team management and/or contributing to a high performing teams’ success. Finally, you will hold a full driving licence and have access to a car to be considered for this role.

About our office
Our Belfast office is based in a listed building in a busy area close to lots of useful local amenities.
Concern is currently trialling a hybrid model. Staff are expected to come into their base office once per week or the monthly equivalent i.e. 4 times per month. Staff are also able to flex their start and finish times between the hours of 7am to 7pm daily.

A little bit about the role
The trusts fundraiser role sits in the fundraising team within the external relations division. The fundraising team is responsible for raising between £1m and £1.5m in fundraised income annually. Frontline’s philanthropic income complements the significant contract income the charity receives from central and local government and enables the charity to carry out its broader mission to create social change for hundreds of thousands of disadvantaged children.
Since we were founded in 2013, Frontline has leveraged its success to build committed, high impact partnerships with a number of prestigious supporters including trusts and foundations, corporates and high net worth individuals. Our new fundraising strategy focuses on continuing to grow our network of supporters by maintaining excellent relationships with our current funders while identifying new potential donors, and at the same time testing and developing fundraising through community and events and individual giving.
We are now looking for a trusts fundraiser to help drive this strategy forward. The successful candidate will have experience in building relationships and securing income, helping us to build relationships with new trust funders while stewarding effectively our current trust and foundation relationships.
The successful candidate will work closely with the head of fundraising and the fundraising manager to implement Frontline’s annual fundraising plan, taking specific responsibility for researching, building relationships with, writing persuasive proposals to and securing income from new trust and foundation funders, while also providing excellent stewardship and reporting to current funders. The fundraising team is supported by the marketing, events and communications staff of the external relations division.
