Due to the growth of our training programmes, we are looking for a Part-Time Training Kitchen Chef to join our friendly team. Working alongside our existing Chef, you will help deliver practical catering and hospitality training to our students in our purpose-built training kitchen.

About the Role
As a Training Kitchen Chef, you will:
- Support and assist students as they develop practical cooking and catering skills within our training kitchen.
- Work collaboratively with our existing Chef, Kitchen & Café Manager and wider CareTrade team.
- Lead and facilitate the training kitchen independently when required.
- Promote independence, confidence and employability skills through practical learning experiences.
- Deliver high-quality educational support in line with CareTrade's policies, procedures and values.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, health and safety and kitchen organisation.
- Support students to work safely, effectively and as part of a team.
- Occasionally provide cover within our on-site café when required.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has professional experience working as a chef.

About the role
As Awards Finance Analyst, you will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity of award data, timely donor audit financial compliance, and donor confidence. Reporting to the Awards Finance Manager and working alongside 2 other Awards Finance Analysts, you'll be supporting the management of around 400 active awards, ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust reconciliations and compliance with donor and audit requirements.
This is a varied role that combines award management knowledge with strong financial analysis and controls. You will work closely with finance, award management and programme colleagues, supporting donor audits, validating donor reports, tracking award income and debt, and helping drive process improvements and automation across the Awards Finance function.
This 14-month fixed-term contract is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with complex financial data, building strong relationships and ensuring the highest standards of financial stewardship.
In this role, you will:
- Deliver timely and accurate award-level financial reconciliations, reporting validations and financial closeout activities across a large portfolio of awards.
- Support donor audits by coordinating financial information, gathering supporting documentation and ensuring compliance with donor requirements and SCUK policies.
- Monitor and report on award income, debt and financial performance, identifying and escalating risks, discrepancies and anomalies where appropriate.
- Provide expert advice and training to non-finance colleagues on award financial compliance, reporting requirements and systems usage.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, helping to streamline processes and increase automation across award finance operations.
- Maintain high-quality financial data and robust financial controls, safeguarding donor confidence and supporting effective programme delivery.
About you
To be successful, it is important that you have:
- Experience in award finance, grant finance or award management, with a strong understanding of donor-funded programmes and financial compliance requirements.
- Experience preparing, reviewing and reconciling donor financial reports, with exposure to donor audits highly desirable.
- Strong financial administration and reconciliation skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and reconcile data from multiple financial and funding systems.
- Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to explain financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues and build effective working relationships.

Freelance Website Project Manager
Contract: Freelance, part time role working two to three days per week, for around one year
Day rate: £210 per day
Location: Homebased role with very occasional travel to the organisation's London office

Leading the full website redesign project, and working closely with the Director of Communications and Marketing at Back Up, this role will be responsible for identifying and secure a suitable agency partner, and then leading the management of the full lifecycle of the project through discovery, design, build, launch, post launch troubleshooting and evaluation.
Core responsibilities within the role will include:
- Procurement and agency selection including developing a shortlisting framework; evaluation of proposals and leading contract negotiation and onboarding
- Project planning and governance including refining project plans and key milestones, ensuring alignment with senior stakeholders
- Lead the discovery phase of the website redevelopment including working with Back Up Services team to identify and contact service users that could be involved in user discovery workshops and testing; work with agency to define user needs, personas, and journeys, and to organise and deliver stakeholder workshops to inform design and content structure
- Support content audit, information architecture development, migration and content development
- Oversee design process to ensure user-centred approach, providing critical review and challenge of agency outputs
- Ensure accessibility (WCAG), inclusivity, and best practice UX
- Monitor build progress against agreed scope and timelines
- Ensure technical quality, performance, SEO, and CMS usability, and oversee integrations (e.g. CRM, donations, third-party tools)
- Coordinate content migration planning
- Define and manage testing plan, ensuring issues are resolved prior to launch and supporting internal readiness
- Oversee launch planning, including risk mitigation and rollback plans
- Work with communications and marketing team to plan communications to stakeholders about new website
- Post launch, support initial optimisation and troubleshooting; review performance against objectives and provide recommendations for ongoing development and improvement
Other responsibilities
- Work with communications and marketing team to support other aspects of digital work such as reviewing and managing GoogleAds programme and exploring options for a digital asset management tool

About the Role
As a Triage & Early Intervention Officer, you will be the first point of contact via telephone, text or email for clients referred to our service. You will conduct comprehensive impact and risk assessments, provide immediate and short-term interventions, and ensure that each client receives tailored support that meets their individual needs.
