About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and conscientious Corporate Appointee & Finance Officer to join our team.
This important role combines financial administration with the responsibility of acting as a corporate appointee or deputy, supporting vulnerable clients who are unable to manage their own financial affairs.
You will ensure that income such as welfare benefits and pension is received, bills are paid, and clients’ finances are carefully managed. You will use Xero accounting software to maintain accurate records and make secure online payments.
As part of our organisation, you will help ensure that some of the most vulnerable people in our community are supported to live safely and independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a corporate appointee or Deputy for clients in line with DWP requirements
- Receive and manage client income, ensuring rent, utilities and other bills are paid on time
- Process and reconcile financial transactions accurately using Xero
- Make secure online payments and manage client budgets

We are seeking our first Head of Fundraising to join our Senior Leadership Team, build the function and leave a legacy.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will lead on developing and delivering our fundraising strategy, with primary focus on trusts and foundations and corporate partnerships, with the potential to grow individual philanthropy in the future.
You will be a key ambassador for the organisation, building and managing strong, long-term relationships with funders who share our mission. You’ll manage and develop one Senior Officer initially, with the possibility that we may be able to expand the team as income grows. Key responsibilities:
Strategy and Leadership
- Lead development and execution of a fundraising strategy focused on trusts,foundations and corporates (with a possible addition of individual philanthropy further down the line).
- Act as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to organisational strategy, planning and culture, and supporting the Chief Executive to report to the board on fundraising.

Fundraising and Relationship Management
- Create and manage a pipeline of funding opportunities, securing multi-year grants and strategic partnerships that support our research, policy and delivery ambitions, and reflect our values.
- Lead the development of major funding bids - including drafting proposals and coordinating input from SLT colleagues and other relevant team members.
- Cultivate, steward and deepen relationships with existing and prospective funders, acting as a confident and credible ambassador.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues to develop strong proposals, cases for support and pitch materials, including engaging in depth with some of the complex research that we seek to fund.
- Represent the organisation externally — in meetings, networks and events.
Innovation, Growth and Sustainability
- Develop and test models to diversify income to enable impact – building on our current strategy, but bringing an open mind to exploring new activities.
- Embed fundraising monitoring, evaluation and performance reporting into the organisation; ensure transparency with senior leadership and trustees.

Terms:

- Annual Gross Salary: £64,800 (employees who are not London-based receive the same salary, including London weighting, but cover their own travel costs to the office, typically twice a month)
- Location: Either London-based, with two days per week in Money and Mental Health’s East London office, or home-based with the ability to travel to London at least twice per month. The role will also require some travel for meetings.
- Hours: Both full-time and part-time applicants considered, at a minimum of four days per week. Job shares, consolidated hours and other flexible working arrangements will be considered. Please indicate your preferred working hours on application.

- Provide unwavering support to service users from their initial contact with our service throughout their treatment and recovery journey.
- Implement tailored interventions aimed at reducing the harm caused by opiate use, either through group sessions or one-on-one engagement.
- Ensure service users receive a comprehensive, recovery-focused detoxification plan, including pre-detox preparation and post-care support.

Summary
The Church of England has recently agreed a significant increase in funding to support God's mission and ministry across the country, supporting local parishes and growing many more new worshipping communities to serve the whole nation. The distributions will also help fund dioceses' plans to serve the nation in various areas such radically cutting the Church's carbon footprint and supporting parishes, cathedrals, and dioceses with using their buildings, to best missional effect whilst ensuring their protection, enhancement, conservation, and appropriate adaptation.
The Net Zero Carbon programme was established to help the Church of England to deliver its commitment to reaching Net Zero Carbon by 2030. It aims to aims to equip, resource and support all parts of the Church to reduce carbon emissions from the energy used in its buildings, schools and through work-related transport by 2030. The team manages the distribution of a grant portfolio worth £190 million across 2023-33, aimed at supporting and equipping dioceses, parishes and other parts of the Church to reach the milestones set out in the Routemap to Net Zero 2030.
This role will play a vital role in supporting the work of the Net Zero Carbon Programme's grant streams, supporting it in delivering a consistent and responsive service to grantees.
The purpose of this role is to provide a responsive service as operational officer for the grant schemes under the Churches Workstream in the Net Zero Carbon Programme:
- Currently the Demonstrator Churches Grant Fund and the Boiler Replacement Hardship Grant Fund,
- 26-28 Decarbonising Churches Grant Fund
The postholder will be the first point of contact on behalf of the grant giver for new applicants and existing grantees under the grant schemes, handling a busy caseload from pre-application contact through to completion. This will involve all aspects of grant service delivery including assessment, issuing of offers and rejections, monitoring, payments, quality assurance and evaluation within the governance and decision-making framework in place for the grant schemes. The postholder will work under the supervision of the Demonstrator Churches Grants Manager and the Decarbonising Churches Lead, who will provide overall guidance and strategic oversight for the relevant grant funds, and will work closely with the Grants Administrator on operational matters.
The role will report directly to the Net Zero Carbon Programme's Decarbonising Churches Lead.
- This is a Fixed-Term due to end December 2028.
- A hybrid role required to attend the Church House London Office a day a week.
- A salary of £40,572 per annum, plus age-related pension contributions between 8-15% of salary. We will also match any pension contributions you make up to an additional 3% of your salary.

The Service Desk Engineer ensures the smooth and efficient delivery of IT services across the organisation. You’ll be the first point of contact for staff seeking technical assistance, providing high-quality first- and second-line support while maintaining the stability and reliability of our digital platforms.
You’ll handle service requests and incidents, manage tickets within agreed SLA's, and ensure users receive timely, clear, and user-friendly resolutions. The role also supports onsite IT operations at our London office, including audiovisual systems and hybrid meetings, and contributes to wider digital improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:
Technical Support: Provide first- and second-line technical support to users across the organisation. Deliver onsite assistance for audiovisual, and conferencing systems. Support hybrid meetings and events, troubleshooting AV and connectivity issues.
Incident & Request Management: Manage incidents and service requests through the service desk system, ensuring timely resolution. Escalate complex issues to higher support tiers or specialist teams when necessary. Monitor service performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
User Life-cycle Support: Assist with staff on-boarding, movers, and leaver processes (account setup, equipment, etc.), ensuring smooth transitions and continuity of IT access.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain IT documentation, FAQs, and user guides to support self-service and consistent resolution. Maintain accurate records of systems, assets, and procedures.
Security & Compliance: Uphold IT security standards, data protection, and GDPR protocols. Promote secure user practices and report potential risks or breaches.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: Work closely with the wider Systems, Digital and Data team on infrastructure and transformation projects. Identify and contribute to process improvements that enhance service quality and efficiency.

The Head of Compliance and Building Safety will lead the strategic management and operational delivery of Look Ahead's compliance functions, encompassing Building Safety, Fire Safety, Gas Safety, Water Hygiene, Lift Safety, Electrical Safety, and Asbestos Management.

What you'll do:
* Lead, develop and coach the Compliance and Building Safety team to deliver high-quality, customer-focused services.
* Oversee statutory compliance across building safety, fire, gas, water hygiene, lifts, electrical systems, and asbestos.
* Manage service contracts and remedial works, ensuring value for money, regulatory compliance, and minimal disruption to residents.
* Act as the lead reporting officer to external bodies including the Regulator of Social Housing and MHCLG.
* Develop and implement policies and inspection programmes aligned with the Building Safety Act and other legislation.
* Monitor contractor performance, resolve disputes, and ensure health and safety standards are met across all sites, working in collaboration to manage the quality of all fire remedial works completed by external contractors.
* Manage budgets, procurement, and contract delivery, ensuring financial accountability risk management, and service excellence so programmes are delivered on time and within budget.
* Promote safeguarding, equality, and data protection across all compliance activities.

The Community Fundraising Lead will recruit, inspire and support volunteers, delivering sustainable income growth while balancing hands-on fundraising with the development of long-term initiatives.
