Help shape the future of hospital, health and wellbeing broadcasting across the UK.
The Hospital Broadcasting Association (HBA) is seeking a Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees. This is an opportunity to use your financial skills and strategic insight to support a national charity that helps more than 140 hospital, health and wellbeing broadcasting organisations develop, collaborate and thrive.
What you'll do
As Treasurer, you will work closely with fellow Trustees to oversee the charity's finances and support effective decision-making. Responsibilities include:
About you
We're looking for someone who:
Previous charity trustee experience is welcome but not essential, and we encourage applications from people with transferable financial expertise gained in the private, public or voluntary sectors.
Trustee responsibilities
As a Trustee, you will share collective responsibility for the governance, financial sustainability and strategic direction of the HBA.
The HBA is an entirely volunteer-led charity with no paid staff. As a result, our Board operates as a working Board, with Trustees contributing not only to governance and decision-making but also, where appropriate, to the delivery of the charity's objectives. This may include supporting projects, overseeing volunteer teams, working with external stakeholders and providing professional expertise in your area of knowledge.
We're looking for someone who is comfortable balancing strategic oversight with practical involvement in the organisation and who wants to play an active role in helping the charity grow and succeed.
Meetings and commitment
The time commitment is approximately 4 hours per week on average, with some busier periods throughout the year.
The Trustee Board meets formally, in-person, every two months, usually on the third Saturday, with informal catch-up meetings taking place via Microsoft Teams on a weekday evening in the intervening months.
Location and travel
This role can be carried out from anywhere in the UK, with most Board business conducted online.
Trustees are expected to attend Board meetings and may occasionally be asked to attend sector events, including the HBA Annual Conference and Awards, meetings with stakeholders and visits to member organisations.
Reasonable travel and out-of-pocket expenses incurred while carrying out Trustee duties will be reimbursed in line with the Association's expenses policy.

Volunteer - Project Manager – SUNSHINE Charity
Lead the set‑up and launch of a small start‑up charity bringing joy, connection and belonging across London
About SUNSHINE Charity
Loneliness is one of the quietest but most painful challenges facing people across London. It affects confidence, wellbeing, mental health and the simple feeling of belonging.
SUNSHINE Charity is a tiny start‑up with a huge mission: to bring human connection, joy, community and ‘sunshine’ into people’s lives.
We are at the very beginning. No funding yet. No big team. Just heart, hope, and a vision to build a charity that lights up London — and later, beyond.
If you’ve ever wanted to help build something meaningful from the ground up, this is your chance.
The Role: Volunteer Project Manager
This role is about building the charity itself — shaping the foundations, organising the launch, and turning a heartfelt idea into a fully functioning organisation.
As our Volunteer Project Manager, you will:
Lead the full project management of SUNSHINE Charity’s set‑up and launch.
Create timelines, milestones and clear delivery plans.
Coordinate early volunteers and partners.
Help develop our first programmes to reduce loneliness.
Build simple systems, processes and structures.
Support early fundraising efforts — including the possibility of fundraising for your own future paid role.
Bring organisation, creativity and heart to every step of the journey.
This is a role for someone who loves making things happen, thrives in start‑up environments, and wants to help build a charity that will change lives.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who is:
Passionate about tackling loneliness and social isolation.
Organised, proactive and energised by building something from scratch.
Excited by the challenge of launching a charity with no current funding.
A natural planner who loves turning ideas into action.
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
Motivated by impact, purpose and human connection.
Ready to bring sunshine into people’s lives.
You don’t need charity experience — just heart, drive, and the ability to make things happen.
Why This Role Matters
This is your chance to:
Lead the launch of a brand‑new charity.
Build programmes that genuinely transform lives.
Create systems and structures that will support long‑term impact.
Shape a movement rooted in kindness, connection and belonging.
Be part of something human, heartfelt and extraordinary.
Ready to Build Something Beautiful?
If your heart is pulling you toward this role — we’d love to hear from you.
Join us, and help bring sunshine into the lives of people who need it most.

The ability to work collaboratively with trustees and our small operational support team, offering encouragement and constructive challenge while supporting the charity’s governance and fundraising role, which enables the specialist delivery work carried out by our partner.
Strategic thinking, with the ability to help shape the charity’s direction and ensure long‑term sustainability.

About Circular Kitchens
Circular Kitchens is a social enterprise and membership platform designed to help restaurants, cafés, pubs, food stalls, and other catering businesses become fully circular: Plastic Free, Ecological, Local, and Zero Waste.
By working with the hospitality sector, we are helping regenerate local communities, strengthen regional food systems, and increase demand for ecological and regenerative agriculture in the UK. Our current focus is launching Circular Kitchens in Whitstable and supporting our first mover restaurants to achieve 3 Star Circular Kitchens certification. This work supports the early foundations of a scalable platform designed to support hundreds of Circular Kitchens members over time. It is a chance to work with fantastic people, quickly see the impact of your contribution, and be a part of truly building sometihng from the ground up!
An Ideal Candidate Will Be:
Experienced in computer science, data science, or a related field
Comfortable working with digital tools, databases, and information management platforms like Coda
Excited to work on evolving, early-stage systems

Help Build the Engine Behind MINDSET Charity
Poor mental health can affect anyone — but men and boys are often less likely to talk about how they feel. Many carry their struggles quietly, without the support, tools or safe spaces they need to grow.
MINDSET Charity is being built to change that.
We’re a London‑based start‑up charity in our concept and set‑up stage, creating a movement that empowers men and boys to develop stronger mindsets, healthier habits and positive futures through action‑based wellbeing. No therapy. Just growth, reflection and real‑world tools that help men become the best version of themselves.
To turn this vision into reality, we’re recruiting an Operations Director (Volunteer) to join our Senior Leadership Team — someone who can help us build the operational foundations, systems and processes that will make MINDSET Charity a success.
This is your chance to shape the operational heartbeat of a charity before it launches.
What You’ll Lead
As Operations Director, you’ll play a key role in:
Designing and developing our early operational systems
Creating structure, processes and workflows that support growth
Helping prepare MINDSET for Trustee recruitment and formal governance
Supporting programme development and operational delivery
Coordinating teams, volunteers and early-stage projects
Building partnerships, networks and community connections
Ensuring MINDSET is ready to launch with clarity, efficiency and impact
If you have connections in London, that’s a huge advantage — but passion, organisation and belief in our mission matter most.
Who We’re Looking For
Someone who:
Has experience in operations, project management or organisational development
Thrives in start‑up environments and enjoys building structure from scratch
Can think strategically while managing practical day‑to‑day needs
Communicates clearly, confidently and compassionately
Believes deeply in men’s mental health and positive male role models
Can give at least 4 hours per week (more if possible)
Wants to help create a charity that will genuinely change lives
You don’t need charity sector experience — just initiative, leadership and a desire to make a meaningful impact.
