COT has been at the forefront of learning disability support for over 40 years. Our innovative approach blends high-quality care, supported living, and life skills development with a thriving 100-acre farm that doubles as a popular family visitor attraction. This rare combination enables people with learning disabilities and autism to develop skills in areas such as animal care, horticulture, customer service, and the culinary arts, while fostering a strong sense of community and inclusion.
With a mission to empower individuality and achieve happiness, we support over 96 people in community settings, offering residential and supported living services, as well as an additional 70 external students in life skills. Volunteer Social Media Manager
Giant Football Community Walk
Location: Remote
Time Commitment: Flexible, approximately 3 to 5 hours per week
The Giant Football Community Walk is looking for a volunteer Social Media Manager to help promote our 2026 event and engage with football supporters, clubs, foundations and supporter groups across the North West.
The event will bring together supporters from across the football pyramid for a 42km or 21km community walking challenge. Participants will represent their clubs, raise money for good causes and celebrate the positive role football plays within local communities.
What You’ll Do
• Manage and grow our Facebook and Instagram accounts
• Create and schedule social media content
• Promote participating clubs, supporter groups and charities
• Help recruit walkers, volunteers and supporters

We're growing our volunteering team and looking to recruit 2 Lead Volunteers for our Communications & Marketing Team (and 2 Lead Volunteers specifically for Content.) The successful candidates will have the overall responsibility for the Charity’s communications and marketing. You will provide leadership for your team and support the development of a communications plan for the charity.
Key Tasks and Objectives
● Lead a team of communications and marketing volunteers.
● Lead and co-ordinate internal projects, activities and campaigns that help build awareness of our organisation and its aims.
● Run the meetings for the Communications & Marketing Team on a monthly basis.
● Regularly meet with and be the point of contact for the lead volunteers for Content, Social Media and Email Marketing to co-ordinate and plan.
● Where and if possible, to also be an active part of the Communications & Marketing Team either as a content writer, copy writer or another role.
● Identifying, initiating and leading on projects which align to the strategy and realise our goals.
● Collaborate with the team.
● To support the charity in develping a visual form of our Annual Report or other reporting documents such as grant reports.
● Support the development and implementation of the Communications Strategy.
● Protecting our charity brand identity, ensuring it is delivered consistently, both internally and externally.
● Promote the charity across all our channels and forms of communication.
● Ensure effective, regular communication to both internal and external audiences.
● Review progress and effectiveness of the Communications Strategy on an annual basis.
