About Project Yananai
Project Yananai is a global non-profit headquartered in the United Kingdom, with Affiliate Entities and Management Teams in India, South Africa, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Our mission is to inspire and empower individuals and communities by fostering enduring relationships, enhancing sustainable skills, and delivering compassionate humanitarian aid. We are dedicated to nurturing resilient societies that are self-sufficient, spiritually fulfilled, and equipped to break cycles of poverty.
Strengthen Leadership. Enable Mission Continuity. Drive Global Impact.
Project Yananai is entering an exciting phase of growth. Registered in the UK, with operations across India, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe, we are building an organisation focused on empowering individuals and communities, strengthening sustainable livelihoods and delivering compassionate humanitarian support.
We are now seeking an exceptional Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCEO) to join our Global Executive Leadership Team and work in close partnership with the CEO.
This is a newly created role for a senior leader who can operate comfortably at both strategic and operational level — someone who can help turn ambition into execution, bring clarity across a growing organisation and provide confident leadership when the CEO is unavailable.
You will be much more than a traditional deputy. You will be a trusted partner to the CEO, a strategic integrator across the executive team and an ambassador for Project Yananai externally.
The opportunity
As DCEO, you will provide the leadership capacity and organisational resilience needed to support Project Yananai through its next stage of development.
You will partner with the CEO to translate our Strategic Growth and Impact Plan into clear priorities, ensure that those priorities are delivered across the organisation and help connect our executive functions around shared goals.
When required, you will step into the CEO's responsibilities, providing continuity of leadership and representing the organisation with confidence to donors, partners, government bodies, media and other key stakeholders.
This is an opportunity to have genuine organisational influence at a pivotal moment — helping shape how a growing international non-profit operates, leads and delivers impact.
What you will do
Who we are looking for
We are looking for a seasoned executive, rather than simply an experienced functional leader.
You will ideally bring 10–15+ years of senior leadership experience within the non-profit, international development or humanitarian sector, together with a track record of leading organisations through growth, transformation or complexity.
You will be able to demonstrate:
The leadership qualities that matter
Why Project Yananai?
This is not an opportunity to simply inherit an established structure. You will help build it!
You will join at a pivotal stage in Project Yananai's development, working directly with the CEO, Global Executive Leadership Team and Board to strengthen the organisation and prepare it for its next phase of growth.
You will have the opportunity to:
Project Yananai is an equal opportunity organisation. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all colleagues. We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and cultures. Project Yananai is a UK registered charity number 1209060.

We're recruiting on behalf of our partners at MINDSET.
BUILD SOMETHING THAT CHANGES MEN’S LIVES IN LONDON
MINDSET Charity
Trustee Recruitment (Volunteer Roles)
Chair • Treasurer • Fundraising Trustee • Safeguarding Lead • Strategy & Development Trustees
WE’RE NOT LOOKING FOR TRADITIONAL TRUSTEES. WE’RE LOOKING FOR BUILDERS.
MINDSET is a bold, preventative mental fitness charity for teenage boys and men in London. We don’t do clinical therapy. We don’t sit on couches. We build systems, habits, and psychological tools that help men stay strong long before crisis hits.
We exist because too many good men have been breaking in silence. Our founder lived that reality — losing his father and close friends to battles they were never given the tools to fight. Their stories became our mission: no more preventable exits. No more silent suffering. No more men fighting alone.
Now we’re building a movement. A training ground. A new standard for male mental fitness.
And to launch this charity with strength, focus, and integrity, we need a small, high‑energy, high‑impact Trustee Board who can help us build MINDSET from the ground up.
THE ROLES WE’RE RECRUITING
1. Chair of Trustees
A steady, strategic leader who can guide our early direction, keep us aligned with our mission, and help us build a strong, safe, compliant organisation. You’ll be the anchor of our governance and the champion of our preventative mental fitness vision.
2. Treasurer
A numbers‑driven, detail‑focused trustee with UK accounting experience who can help us build lean, efficient financial systems. You’ll ensure our budgets, reporting, and financial planning are rock‑solid as we grow.
3. Fundraising & Grants Trustee
A proactive connector who can open doors, build partnerships, and secure funding. You’ll lead our grants strategy, donor relationships, and fundraising campaigns to fuel our 12‑week programmes. You'll also lead our board in fundraising areas and matters.
4. Safeguarding Lead Trustee
A calm, experienced safeguarding professional who ensures our boys and men are protected at every step. You’ll help us build safe systems, strong policies, and a culture of responsibility. You'll also lead our board in safeguarding areas and matters.
Additional Trustees (Various Specialisms)
We’re also seeking trustees with experience in:
Strategy & organisational development
Mental health, wellbeing, coaching or personal development
Monitoring, evaluation & impact measurement
Youth work or education
Digital operations & community building
Start‑up charities or early‑stage organisations
If you bring clarity, energy, and a passion for helping men and boys build stronger futures, we want you on our team.
WHY JOIN MINDSET?
1. Because this isn’t a passive board role — it’s a founding mission.
You’ll help shape the charity’s identity, culture, and long‑term direction.
2. Because our model is modern, lean, and high‑impact.
We operate like a fitness brand, not a slow-moving charity. Fast execution. Clean systems. High energy.
3. Because every decision you make will change real lives.
Every metric we track represents a boy, a father, a mate — staying in the game.
4. Because we’re building something West London genuinely needs.
A stigma‑free, practical, preventative space where men and boys learn to build habits, not hide feelings.
WHAT WE ASK OF YOU
Attend in‑person meetings in London (especially early on for Charity Commission documents).
Bring your skills, your ideas, your networks, and your leadership.
Help us build strong governance, safe systems, and a scalable model.
Champion our mission and represent MINDSET with passion, including helping us spread our social media presence by liking and sharing our posts.
Commit to a role that genuinely matters.
JOIN US.
HELP US BUILD MINDSET.
HELP US CHANGE THE STORY FOR MEN AND BOYS IN LONDON.
If you’re ready to help build a charity with purpose, energy, and real impact, we’d love to hear from you.

Who We Are
Tell My Truth and Shame the Devil C.I.C. (TMTSD) is a survivor-led organisation being established to create a platform for truth-telling, accountability, community healing and meaningful social change.
Our work centres the voices and experiences of people who have historically been ignored, silenced or left behind by existing systems.
TMTSD is a developing podcast and documentary storytelling platform designed to create space for real human experiences — particularly stories connected to childhood sexual abuse, adverse childhood experiences, survival, resilience and social neglect.
However, TMTSD is intended to become more than a storytelling organisation.
It is being developed as one of the organisations through which a much broader vision can be explored, developed and ultimately brought into reality.
TMTSD is a sister organisation of The SHG Family Group Corp, which is being established as a long-term innovation, creativity and closed-membership ecosystem focused on addressing significant social and economic challenges through technology, education, social infrastructure, sustainable enterprise and international collaboration.
SHG's long-term vision includes the development of interconnected initiatives across areas such as:
The ambition is not simply to create individual projects.
It is to develop interconnected systems, organisations and initiatives capable of creating sustainable economic and social opportunity while improving quality of life — particularly for young people and communities across the Global South.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an exceptional Founding Director / Political Affairs Strategist to establish and lead the Political Intelligence Strategic Relations and Partnerships function within Tell My Truth and Shame the Devil C.I.C.
This is one of the most strategically important founding positions within the organisation.
The purpose of this department is to help move the SHG vision from concept to reality.
Many of the initiatives being contemplated within the SHG ecosystem will ultimately require relationships with:
The Political Affairs function will therefore serve as a strategic bridge between SHG's ambitions and the institutions capable of helping those ambitions become real-world programmes, partnerships and infrastructure.
We are looking for someone capable of building that bridge.
Your Mission
Your central mission will be:
Build the Political Intelligence Strategic Relations and Partnerships (P.I.S.R.P) function within TMTSD into a capability that helps turn SHG's strategic initiatives and long-term vision into credible government, institutional and international partnerships.
You will help establish the relationships, strategies, structures and institutional pathways required for SHG's initiatives to progress from ideas and concepts into viable programmes, organisations, partnerships and real-world projects.
This means understanding not only how governments work, but also:
who needs to be involved, why they would become involved, what value SHG can provide, what conditions need to exist for collaboration, and how an initial relationship can develop into a meaningful long-term institutional partnership.
Your Role as Founding Director
You will become the founding architect of TMTSD's P.I.S.R.P function.
Your role will include determining:
Your Strategic Mandate
You will be given the following founding mandate:
"Establish the P.I.S.R.P function within Tell My Truth and Shame the Devil C.I.C. and build the institutional pathways through which SHG's strategic initiatives can become reality."
The objective is to create a department capable of looking at an SHG initiative and asking:
What would it take to make this real?
Then determining:
The department should ultimately become the function that can say:
"This is how we take an SHG initiative from concept to institutional reality."
Core Responsibilities
The Founding Director will be responsible for building the function from the ground up, including:
Government Strategy
What We Are Looking For
We are not primarily looking for someone with a political science degree.
We are looking for someone who has actually operated around government, institutions and senior decision-makers.
Ideally, your career will include experience across combinations of:
Experience operating across multiple countries, jurisdictions or political systems would be particularly valuable.
Qualifications / Experience
Ideally, you will have:
Exceptional candidates may be considered with a different combination of experience where they demonstrate significant government, institutional or strategic capability.
The Person We Are Looking For
You understand that government affairs is not simply about knowing politicians.
It is about understanding systems.
You understand the difference between:
an introduction → a relationship → an opportunity → a partnership → an institutional programme.
You know how to navigate complex organisations. You know how to identify who actually matters within an institution. You can build credibility with senior stakeholders. You are politically aware without being politically partisan. You understand discretion, integrity and confidentiality. You are diplomatic without being passive. You are strategic without losing sight of execution.
You can take an ambitious idea and begin asking the practical institutional questions required to make it real.
You are comfortable with uncertainty. You enjoy building things that do not yet exist.
You think internationally. You think in decades rather than months. You care about creating meaningful social and economic impact. And importantly:
You want to build a function, not simply occupy a position.
The Founding Leadership Opportunity
This position is initially offered as an unpaid volunteer/member founding leadership opportunity during Phase 1.
The intention is to build the function alongside the organisation rather than create a permanent unpaid executive position.
As TMTSD and the wider SHG ecosystem develop, secure funding, establish operational entities and generate sustainable economic activity, appropriate paid executive positions will be created subject to organisational growth, governance, funding and operational requirements.
The successful Founding Director will therefore have the opportunity to help design the function they may ultimately lead.

We are particularly interested in understanding what you have actually done, the environments in which you have operated, the complexity of the relationships you have managed, and how you think strategically.

As a small but fast-growing charity, we have a strong trustee board in place but are looking to bring in new trustees to help in our new phase of growth and ensure a sustainable future. We are therefore looking for trustees who want to get closely involved in setting the strategy, direction and priorities of Write Back as we transition from new ‘start-up’ into a more established charity. We are therefore looking for individuals with:
● A strong commitment to the work of Write Back and empowering young people.
● The passion and enthusiasm to throw themselves into a new and exciting charity for young people to help us in our next phase of growth.
● The ability and experience of working at a strategic level, providing expert oversight, advice and guidance.
● The skills and temperament to collaborate effectively in a small, growing organisation.
● A good understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of charity trusteeship and an appreciation of the personal implications.
● A demonstrable commitment to equality and diversity.
We anticipate growing our trustee board significantly over the next 6-12 months. Our initial priority will be recruiting someone who is at least one of the following:
●experienced in financial processes and oversight.
● experienced in education, such as a qualified teacher.
● experienced in growing a small company or charity, in particular with legal, HR or other operational or governance matters.
● Under the age of 25 and who have lived experienced of the issues Write Back is trying to solve.
However, we are open to applications from a variety of backgrounds and would encourage you to get in touch if you are interested. We are intending to recruit 2 - 3 trustees in total.
Core requirements:
● This is a voluntary unpaid role, for which any reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.
● Your initial term will be for 2 years, with the possibility of renewal.
● Attendance at trustee meetings every two months (either online or in person, for roughly 90 minutes), as well as preparation for these meetings and any follow-up tasks. We estimate the time commitment to be no more than one day per month in total.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss this further, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Founding Director of People, Culture & HR Innovation
Help us fix HR today — and design what HR becomes tomorrow.
We are looking for an experienced HR leader who is ready to do something very different.
Someone who understands HR, but also sees where it has become too bureaucratic, too process-driven and too disconnected from the creativity, ambition and humanity of the people it is supposed to support.
This is not a conventional HR management role.
This is a high-stakes founding opportunity to help rebuild our HR function from the ground up — while working with a team to design an entirely new, people-first way of working that could challenge the status quo.
The opportunity
Our immediate mission is practical: clean up, strengthen and professionalise our existing HR department.
That means looking honestly at what currently exists, identifying what works, what does not, what is missing and what has become unnecessarily complicated — then putting the right structures, policies, processes, governance and people practices in place.
But that is only the beginning.
Alongside fixing today's HR function, you will help us design the blueprint for the next generation of HR: an open-source HR platform and new way of working designed around people, creativity, innovation, development, fairness, accountability and better organisational culture.
We believe HR should be more than policies, procedures and risk management.
People are not processes.
Organisations should be places where people can think, create, challenge, develop, contribute and do meaningful work — while still having strong structures, accountability and professional standards.
We want to explore what HR could look like if we designed it around that principle from the beginning.
Two connected missions
1. Fix and strengthen HR today
You will initially help us:
Review the existing HR function, structures and practices
Identify gaps, weaknesses, risks and unnecessary bureaucracy
Establish appropriate HR policies, procedures and governance
Strengthen recruitment and onboarding
Improve employee experience and people support
Develop better approaches to performance, learning and development
Ensure appropriate employment practices and HR compliance
Create systems that can scale as the organisation grows
Help build a strong people and culture foundation
2. Help invent HR for tomorrow
At the same time, you will work with the founding team to explore and develop:
A blueprint for a new open-source HR platform
A people-first approach to organisational design
New approaches to employee voice and participation
Better models for creativity, innovation and collaboration
New approaches to leadership and personal development
Psychological safety and healthy organisational culture
Fairness, accountability and transparency
The appropriate use of technology and AI in HR
New ways of measuring organisational health and employee experience
A framework that other organisations could potentially adopt, adapt and build upon
The ambition is not simply to improve HR within one organisation.
It is to ask:
What would HR look like if we were brave enough to redesign it properly?
You will be joining at a stage where there is significant work to do, significant problems to solve and significant things yet to be built.
That is precisely what makes the opportunity different.
For the right person, this could become a paid founding leadership position as the organisation develops, funding is secured and the wider structure is operationalised.
We are looking for someone who sees the potential in that journey rather than simply looking for an established job description and a finished organisation to step into.
This is an opportunity to:
build something.
lead something.
invent something.
leave a legacy.
If you have spent years watching organisations operate in ways that you knew could be better — and quietly thinking “someone should really change this” — this may be your opportunity to actually be one of the people who does.
You will not be doing it alone.
You will have the opportunity to build and work alongside a founding team, bring ideas into reality, test new approaches, learn from what does and does not work, and help shape something that can grow beyond its original founders.
The legacy opportunity
We are particularly interested in people who want their work to mean something beyond another position on a CV.
The long-term ambition is to create something that can be shared, developed and potentially adopted by others.
If successful, the HR model you help create could become part of a much larger body of work — something that demonstrates that organisations can be both high-performing and deeply human.
That is the opportunity.
Not to inherit someone else's HR system.
To help invent a better one.
Who we are looking for
You may be an experienced:
HR Director
Head of People
People & Culture Director
HR Transformation Leader
Organisational Development Leader
Senior HR Consultant
HR strategist or practitioner
You should have substantial practical HR experience and understand the realities of employment, governance, organisational risk and people management.
But experience alone is not enough.
We want someone who:
Thinks critically about conventional HR
Is comfortable challenging established thinking
Can distinguish between necessary structure and unnecessary bureaucracy
Is genuinely people-centred
Understands organisational design and culture
Can move between strategy and practical implementation
Has an interest in innovation, technology and AI
Is capable of building systems rather than simply operating them
Can work collaboratively with founders and other senior leaders
Is comfortable working in an environment where not everything has already been figured out
Wants to create, experiment and improve — not simply maintain the status quo
Most importantly, you should want to build something.
What we can offer
This is initially a voluntary founding leadership opportunity during Phase 1, as the organisation develops its foundations, structures, funding and operating model.
However, the intention is that the right founding leaders can have the opportunity to progress into substantive paid leadership positions as the organisation grows and the relevant funding and operational capacity are secured.
This is therefore an opportunity to get involved early, have genuine influence over the direction of the organisation and potentially grow with what you help build.
You will have the opportunity to:
Shape the HR function from an early stage
Work directly with the founding leadership team
Influence organisational culture from the beginning
Help develop an original HR model
Build a team around the work as the organisation grows
Contribute to something with potential beyond the organisation itself
Establish yourself as a founding leader in an emerging model of people and organisational practice
Progress into a paid founding leadership positionh

We're recruiting on behalf of our partners at MINDSET.
VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR (MINDSET Charity)
Build the Team. Build the Culture. Build the Movement.
MINDSET is a bold new preventative mental fitness charity for teenage boys and men in London — launching this November. We’re creating a modern, high‑energy, stigma‑free space where men learn the habits, systems, and psychological tools to stay strong long before crisis hits.
To make this mission real, we need a Volunteer Coordinator who can build the beating heart of our organisation: our volunteer team.
If you’re passionate about people, culture, and creating environments where others thrive — this is your moment.
THE ROLE: VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR (Volunteer)
We’re looking for a proactive, organised, people‑focused leader who can build our volunteer programme from the ground up. You’ll help shape the culture, recruit the team, and create the systems that make MINDSET a place volunteers want to be part of.
You’ll lead on:
Setting up our volunteer programme from scratch.
Recruiting our first wave of volunteers for November launch.
Designing a warm, structured onboarding experience.
Creating a team‑spirit culture rooted in energy, accountability, and purpose.
Supporting volunteers as they deliver our 12‑week mental fitness programmes.
Building simple, effective systems for communication, scheduling, and engagement.
Championing the MINDSET ethos — modern, bold, stigma‑free, and focused on growth.
Your work will directly shape the experience of every volunteer who joins us. You’ll be the person who sets the tone, builds the community, and ensures our team feels supported, valued, and inspired.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for someone who:
Has experience of managing volunteers, HR or recruitment.
Loves building positive, energetic team cultures.
Is organised, reliable, and great at follow‑through.
Enjoys connecting with people and spotting potential.
Can create simple systems that make volunteering easy.
Wants to help build a charity from the ground up.
Can commit a few hours a week between now and November.
Believes in preventative mental fitness and early intervention.
If you’re the kind of person who naturally brings people together, you’ll thrive here.
WHY JOIN MINDSET?
1. Because you’ll shape the entire volunteer experience.
You’re not stepping into an existing system — you’re building it.
2. Because our culture is modern, energetic, and inspiring.
Think Gymshark, Huel, MyProtein — not a traditional charity bureaucracy.
3. Because your work will change lives.
Every volunteer you recruit will help boys and men build habits that keep them strong.
4. Because you’ll be part of a founding team.
Your leadership will influence how MINDSET grows for years to come.
WHAT YOU’LL GET
A chance to build a volunteer programme from day one.
Real leadership experience in a fast‑moving charity start‑up.
A supportive, passionate team who value your ideas.
Flexible volunteering you can fit around your life.
The satisfaction of knowing your work is helping prevent silent suffering.
JOIN US.
HELP US BUILD THE TEAM THAT BUILDS THE MOVEMENT.
If you’re ready to create a volunteer culture full of energy, purpose, and impact, we’d love to hear from you.
