Job description
The Pastoral and Environmental Network in the Horn of Africa (PENHA) is an African-led and inspired charity, established in 1989. Its mission is to reduce poverty among the pastoralists in the Horn of Africa through the empowerment of communities and to foster sustainable and dignified livestock-based and non-livestock-based livelihoods. In the UK, it works with the Horn diaspora community through youth mentoring and leadership programmes.
PENHA’s Aims and Objectives
PENHA has a team in the London Office and country chapters in the Horn of Africa region – in Ethiopia and Somaliland but works with partners in Sudan, Eritrea and Uganda as well as international partners outside the Horn of Africa.
In the UK, PENHA has a Board of Trustees, a number of research associates, volunteers and an international Advisory Group. PENHA Board of Trustees is looking for three trustees to join the London-based Board with experience in one of the following areas:
In addition, candidates should have an understanding of the context within which charities operate, ideally with some experience of the Horn of Africa region.
The post is unpaid and the time commitment is four to six meetings per year, with attendance at other occasional meetings and events as a representative of the charity.
The Board is responsible for submitting the Annual Report and Accounts to the Charity Commission and to Companies House. As a small charity, trustees contribute actively as part of a team in giving firm strategic direction to the organisation, setting overall policy, defining goals, setting targets and evaluating performance against agreed targets. PENHA is currently undergoing a new strategy development process and the candidate will help steer the organisation through the challenges ahead.

Sustainable Bolivia is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in the Bolivian Amazon that partners with local initiatives to provide resources that support ecotourism, regenerative agriculture, health and education. Volunteers/Employees live on Aquicuana on our research base and assist us with our work in the community of Warnes.
Sustainable Bolivia is in need of a teacher to run our afterschool program. The volunteer will plan and deliver classes to children ages 5-15 at our community classroom. Attendance varies from 10-30 students at a time, with over 100 students being served throughout the past year. Classes focus on English and science instruction but should include structured play, arts and crafts, and music (if within the teacher’s skill set). Active projects such as community clean ups, gardening, bird counts, etc are encouraged. Classes occur each weekday afternoon from 2-5pm. Mornings are available for prep and planning, and participation in our other volunteer opportunities such as grant writing, social media management, or ecological research.
Short term volunteers occasionally join the program, and the teacher should be prepared to support and include volunteers in their work.
Applicants should have experience in youth education. They should be fluent in English and have intermediate Spanish ability.
A commitment of at least 3 months is required, with preference given to volunteers who can stay longer.
Food and lodging in a lake front cabin on the reserve are provided for free and no volunteer fee is required. The volunteer is responsible for their flights and travel insurance.

Summary of Role:
The experienced Salesforce Implementation Specialist will spearhead our transition to Salesforce and its Nonprofit Cloud (NPC) solution. You will be responsible for translating our core organizational workflows—spanning Fundraising, Program Management, and Stakeholder Engagement—into Salesforce's scalable, highly optimized CRM for nonprofits.
What Will You Do?
Following the industry-standard frameworks and Nonprofit Cloud best practices, your core duties will include:
Meet with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and needs for Solution Community's Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
Initial configuration and setup of Salesforce NPC, including customizations of standard objects (like Accounts, Contacts, Leads, Opportunities), creating Custom Objects and fields, as well as UI page/layout customizations to store and display our unique business data.
Collaborate with internal teams to translate current data into a scalable, high-integrity Salesforce data schema.
Set up workflows and automation for diverse revenue streams, including Single Payment Gifts, Recurring Gifts, Matching Gifts, and Inbound Grants, aligning with NPC's native architecture.
Build out custom fundraising dashboards and campaign reports using the native NPC analytics packages.
Integrate with third-party platforms and tools as needed to support our newly designed and developed workflows.
Deliver clear, step-by-step training to both technical administrators and non-technical staff.
Document all custom configurations, automation, and data dictionaries to ensure the platform's long-term health.
Who Are We Looking For?

The Royal Institution (Ri), a registered independent charity, is seeking two Independent Members to join our Nominations Committee
We are seeking individuals who can bring complementary expertise to support the Board in ensuring it has the right balance of skills, experience, independence and diversity to deliver the Ri’s charitable objectives.
We are particularly interested in candidates with one of the following backgrounds:
Role A -HR, recruitment or talent expertise, with experience of designing and delivering inclusive selection processes and assessing senior-level capability; or
Role B - Charity governance and trusteeship expertise, with practical experience, a strong understanding of effective boards, and experience assessing Board composition, performance and succession needs
Independent Members play a key role in advising on Board appointments, overseeing the annual election process, supporting Trustee recruitment, and contributing to long-term succession planning and governance best practice.

YOUR MISSION
As our Marketing & Communications Lead, you will become the architect of the Clan’s public voice — crafting the stories, campaigns, and messages that inspire people to join, engage, and belong.
You will:
Develop and lead our marketing and communications strategy
Shape the Clan’s tone, voice, and storytelling across all platforms
Oversee social media content, engagement, and community growth
Create compelling campaigns that attract new members and volunteers
Support recruitment drives, cultural initiatives, and Clan events
Collaborate with our Graphic Designer and Council to build a unified brand
Ensure consistent, inspiring messaging across all channels
Your leadership will help the Lyonic Scots be seen, heard, and remembered.
