Job description

Enham Trust is a leading UK disability charity, which for nearly 100 years has been supporting disabled people to live, work and enjoy life.

We are looking for a Trustee to join our board to help shape our strategy and enable the charity to prosper for many more years.

The Role: As a Trustee you will work in partnership with our leaders to define and steer the governance and strategy of the charity.  You will provide individual influence and important contribution to our goals and future direction.

You will be inspiring, energetic and be able to provide support and challenge in equal measure.

We are particularly interested to meet with people who have one or more of the following attributes:

  • Demonstrable experience and understanding of the regulatory requirements of the Care Quality Commission and other regulators
  • Proven success at a leadership level in health and social care, ideally within the charitable sector
  • Experience of working with local authorities, social services, and commissioning organisations
  • Knowledge and understanding of disability

We encourage active participation from our Trustees, and ask for a minimum of monthly commitment, with a face to face meeting, usually on a Monday evening between 6pm and 8pm.

If you believe you’re the candidate we’re looking for we would be delighted to hear from you. For more information, please contact Amy Bearman, Director of People for an informal discussion about the role.
