About the role 

The Innovation and Implementation Manager will lead on embedding new models of care within health systems — ensuring our peer-led projects are effectively planned, delivered and sustained. You’ll work closely with NHS and community partners, line manage Peer Leads and Coordinators, and oversee key projects including: 

• Liver Health Peer Support, improving early detection and surveillance for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). 

• Peer-led Needle and Syringe Provision (NSP) and wider harm reduction initiatives. 

You’ll manage project delivery, build strong partnerships, monitor outcomes, and share learning nationally to shape future approaches.

We’re looking for someone who: 

• Has experience in project delivery, innovation, or service improvement within health, social care, or the voluntary sector. 

• Understands the value of peer-led and lived experience approaches. 

• Is confident managing teams and building relationships across diverse partners. 

• Has knowledge of Inclusion Health, harm reduction, and liver health. 

• Is organised, collaborative, and passionate about tackling health inequalities.

We are looking to recruit a life skills and activities co-ordinator to concentrate on building and expanding relationships with young people living in our supported accommodation as well as families in Westminster who attend sessions in our Family Services department. This is a unique and rewarding role in our Employment & Learning Team that will involve meeting and working with residents in our supported accommodation on a one-to-one basis and in groups, facilitating activities and evaluating and building evidence that these interventions have made a difference. Your work will focus on supporting our residents (aged 16-25) on-site with their Life Skills development. You will also work holistically to support the families who attend sessions in the Family Centre and who attend outings and “away-days”. The role also requires facilitating our study club (aged 13+) and group ESOL sessions (19+).

This post will be based in the local voluntary sector infrastructure organisation - Torbay Communities, hosts of the Community Helpline.  

We are seeking an exceptional individual to lead this nationally recognised and acclaimed innovation. Torbay’s Community Helpline was established during the Covid pandemic and has since been developed by the local community into a central access point to the voluntary and community sector as a whole. Since 2021, it has also been the front door for new Adult Social Care referrals in the area through a unique partnership with the local statutory sector. Providing the best possible support to local residents the Helpline’s strapline ‘One Call – That’s All’ sums up the holistic approach. Individuals and families can access a wide range of support from food parcels to mental health support, help with isolation to debt advice etc. The Helpline links into over 100 voluntary sector organisations locally and into grassroots networks of residents offering support to each other. The Helpline has a strengths-based approach to its operations, with callers often helping others after they have received some support.

We are looking for someone who can lead this initiative into the next phase. Someone with the relevant experience who can identify the Helpline’s potential and - working with staff, volunteers, voluntary sector and statutory sector partners - deliver excellent support to our residents and develop the Helpline to meet future needs.
