JOB DESCRIPTION AND PERSON SPECIFICATION
The Individual Giving Manager (Retention) will work within the Public Fundraising Team and play a key part in growing and sustaining income from our individual giving audiences of cash donors and regular giving supporters. You will work closely with the Deputy Director of Fundraising, Individual Giving Manager (Acquisition), Supporter Care Officer and Database Manager and will be responsible for the development, project management and delivery of the supporter retention, renewal and stewardship program. This is a great role for someone with existing individual giving fundraising experience, who would like the opportunity to use analysis and insights to develop and shape retention and stewardship activity, with the drive to deliver a program which aspires be best in class.

Role Responsibilities:
This role plays a key part in driving income growth and sustainability in our Individual Giving programme.
Your priorities will include:
· Driving the strategic and operational planning of Individual Giving to deliver strong income growth and return of investment (ROI), ensuring agreed targets and KPIs are achieved in relation to retention and conversion of existing donors.
· Devising and delivering the overall Individual Giving retention and stewardship budget to maximise opportunities for growth, preparing robust annual income and expenditure budgets and operational plans.
Strategy, planning and delivery:
· Develop and manage donor retention and upgrade for cash donors and regular givers across all channels to increase our supporter base, maximising ROI.
· Devise and deliver the overall Individual Giving retention and stewardship budget to maximise opportunities for growth, preparing robust annual income and expenditure budgets and ops plans, reforecasting these on a quarterly basis and engaging with month end processes.
· Lead the delivery of an impactful stewardship programme, which includes managing the supporter newsletter to optimise donor retention and development across all supporters, delivering exceptional donor experience; oversee timely responses to donors.
· Optimise data and data capture opportunities to help us better understand our supporters, inform strategy and ultimately deliver insight to help drive retention and lifetime value.
· Provide timely high-quality reporting with robust analysis and recommendations to improve performance – utilising your Individual Giving expertise and sector benchmarks.
· Adopt a test and learn mentality to strategic planning, developing new activities to provide the charity with a balanced portfolio of offers for new/existing donors.
· Direct and manage external suppliers to execute the Individual Giving retention programme to meet agreed budgets, timelines and KPIs.
· Support with the selection and appointment process for new external suppliers, effectively managing relationships to ensure the highest quality service.
· Ensure tools and processes are in place to effectively deliver objectives in collaboration with teams across the organisation.
Collaboration
· Identify opportunities to maximise value from our supporter base and seek opportunities to work with colleagues to facilitate cross-selling of relevant initiatives to engage donors, including mid-value, major gifts and legacies for example.
· Work collaboratively across the charity to develop exciting and relevant content across all Individual Giving activity, including the supporter newsletter, working with colleagues to identify where content could be applied to other communications and marketing channels.
· Keep abreast of new trends, tactics and competitor activity within the sector, disseminating new learnings and information throughout the team.
· Ensure that communications are compliant with all relevant bodies including HMRC, Gambling Commission, Fundraising Regulator, ICO, Charity Commission and ASA.
· Support other areas of fundraising by attending events, exhibitions etc. as required by a small team with varied engagements.
Management
· Carry out effective management of the Supporter Care Officer, ensuring the effective deployment of all their responsibilities.
· Be accountable for the management and development of the CRM database to maximise efficiency, working with the Database Manager to resolve any irregularities.
· Work closely with the Database Manager to establish criteria for data selection and extraction as necessary.
· Work with the Database Manager and Supporter Care Officer to ensure all donations are processed swiftly and accurately, Gift Aid income is maximised, and all declarations are collected and accurately recorded for submission to the Finance team.
Other
· Become fully conversant with the aims and objectives of the organisation.
· Keep up to date with developments in the sector and key new initiatives in our field.
· To always work in compliance with the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Practice and data protection legislation.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
· Successful track record of developing and managing a successful, cause-led Individual Giving retention and stewardship programme, with proven technical ability across channels including print, telemarketing and digital.
· Strong experience of analysing and interpreting data, reporting and using data driven insights to inform decision making.
· Strong experience of developing and implementing successful supporter journeys with thorough understanding of donor motivation.
· Track record of meeting or exceeding targets.

The Charity
The Youth Adventure Trust is a youth development charity working with vulnerable young people aged 11 to 16 years old from Wiltshire and Swindon. Our outdoor activity based YAT Adventure Programme enables young people to challenge themselves, experience success, learn to go beyond their own expectations and grow in confidence. Through a series of residential camps and day activities they are able to build resilience, self esteem and develop social and life skills. The YAT Resilience Programme works to the same outcomes through a year long programme of monthly activities, home-based challenges and reflective practice. Our Mentoring Programme works with those young people in need of some additional individualised support at the end of our other programmes. The Trust’s Bursary Programme is open to all those young people who have completed an initial programme, in order to assist their next steps into further activities. Our aim is to make a lasting improvement to the lives of vulnerable young people. All our services are provided completely free of charge to the young people who are nominated by schools and other youth organisations to take part.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and motivated Adventure Programme Support Manager to support both young people and volunteers on our Adventure Programme. Working alongside the Programme Managers you will act in a support function across the activity days and camps, and be involved in direct one to one support for young people. You will also work alongside the Volunteering Lead to recruit, manage and support the volunteers who are front and centre of ensuring our young people’s positive experiences and outcomes. This is a diverse role with the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable young people both through direct work and supporting the wider team.
Programme Support
This aspect of the role includes;

Attending residential camps and activity days throughout the year, assisting with organising and delivering the Adventure Programme.

Ensuring the highest standards of support, safety and safeguarding across the programme and all aspects of the Youth Adventure Trust’s work.

Carrying out direct work with young people to help support their needs and fulfil the Youth Adventure Trust’s aims.

Supporting work with the young people’s families to promote full attendance, effective participation and ensure they have all the information they require.

Supporting work with our referral partners to ensure they have an excellent understanding, relationship and experience with the Youth Adventure Trust.

Contributing to ongoing feedback to young people, parents, carers and schools.

Supporting the effective monitoring of the programme and measurement of young people’s developmental outcomes.

Working with the Programme Managers to support young people moving on to the Mentoring Programme, and promoting take up of the Bursary Programme.

Supporting the development of further opportunities for young people both during and after their YAT journey.

Assisting the day-to-day administration and management of the programme. This may include maintaining a database, producing written communications and reports, information leaflets, website updates, budget monitoring, booking and negotiating with providers, and an array of detailed record keeping.

Creating website and social media content to highlight and promote YAT’s work.
Volunteer Management
Volunteers are critical to the success of our programme for vulnerable young people; recruiting, supporting and developing capable, skilled, empathetic, engaging and committed volunteers is essential to the impact of our work.
This aspect of the role includes;

Promoting volunteering opportunities and recruiting new volunteers to the organisation to ensure needs are met.

Acting as a key point of contact for volunteers, maintaining communication and engagement with the charity.

Administering all aspects of a volunteer’s involvement with the Trust, including completing the relevant checks and references, record keeping and database maintenance.

Organising, preparing and information sharing with volunteers to ensure they are ready to fulfil their role.

Supporting volunteers in their role on our Adventure Programme, facilitating opportunities for informal supervision and debriefing. Our volunteers work tirelessly to ensure the young people get as much as possible from their time with the Youth Adventure Trust, and often deal with challenging and impactful situations.

Developing and coaching volunteers in their role through working alongside them as they support young people on our Adventure Programme residential camps and day activities.

Creating and delivering training opportunities for new and existing volunteers.

The Candidate
To be up to the challenge you’ll need an excellent understanding and a proven track record of relevant experience working with vulnerable and challenging young people. You’ll need demonstrable skills at building effective relationships with young people, parents/carers, and professional organisations. In addition, you’ll need an excellent understanding of volunteering and relevant experience working with and managing volunteers. You’ll need strong influencing and motivational skills; the capacity to get the best out of people and confidently deal with issues. You’ll be an excellent communicator, planner and problem solver, a strong team player and an exemplary role model.

As a Store Manager Designate for our growing number of Home stores you will be working in one of a number of stores in this area and eventually have the responsibility of your own store.
This is a hands on role. Working in a busy store, you will be leading your team on the shop floor and in the warehouse to generate stock and maximise profits. THE ROLE
This Marketing and Communications Executive role is pivotal in inspiring our supporters to further engage with our cause. The role will also involve monitoring and evaluating the results of communications, identifying where insight and learning offers improvement. The role would suit someone who has been a marketing executive, marketing coordinator and has experience of fundraising.
The Marketing & Communications Executive works closely with a number of stakeholders and the Marketing & Communications Manager and Marketing and Communications Senior Executive, to ensure our marketing and communication activities are developed and implemented in line with the agreed plan.
Alongside this you’ll also be working with colleagues and partners in our Conservation, Outcomes and Evidence team on delivering key marketing campaigns, partnerships, research grants, and policy and position statements. A key area of the Woodland Trust that produces varied, technical resources and information to support our conservation aims and ambitions.
This role is 30 hours per week. Pro rata salary band will equate to £16,640 - £17, 472 per annum.
This is a Hybrid working role, where you’ll work part of your time at home and part of the time from our Head Office based in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Our Hybrid Working Policy is flexible, and the frequency of time spent in your contracted office will vary across teams and job roles.

The Communications Capacity Building Manager reports directly to the Global Content Manager and supports the development and implementation of the content vision and strategy. The job holder works primarily with communications colleagues and Country Directors in IR country and hybrid offices to build their capacity and capability in communications, content gathering, media, brand awareness raising and local public engagement. The Position

We are looking for an Events Coordinator with in our Platform Services team. You will need demonstrable experience in planning and delivering a range of successful events, including both digital and in-person events, as well as experience of managing project budgets and strong project management skills. You will also need to be confident in using online meeting software to host events, have strong communication and interpersonal skills and also a good understanding of relevant legislation related to events planning.
Please note that applications will be reviewed following the closing date of 3rd April due to annual leave/the Easter weekend. Interviews will be held in April.
Salary: £31,016 - £34,000 per annum, pro rata

Location: Oxford / hybrid working.
In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, organisation and delivery of Picker's programme of events. This will include two in-person conferences with attendees from across the United Kingdom as well as regular online events during the year. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective planning and delivery. You will also be responsible for the planning of Picker's presence at sponsored events and exhibitions, working with colleagues from across the organisation to ensure that the Group are appropriately represented and present a credible and compelling offer.
This is a new role in the organisation, intended to support colleagues and to take a lead in our growing programme of events. There is established practice to build on from existing national conferences as well as opportunities to develop new types of engagements.
In this role
In this role you will:
- Work with the Marketing and Communications Manager to plan a programme of events for the year, ensuring that these align to the Group’s charitable and commercial objectives.
- Work with internal stakeholders and external partners to develop detailed plans for each event, including working with subject matter experts to design appropriate agendas.
- Lead for Picker on the administration of events
- Attend events, providing first line support to colleagues, partners, and attendees on the day. This will include occasional travel, usually within the United Kingdom.
- Lead on the evaluation of events to ensure that they are effective in addressing Picker’s strategic goals and to enable continuous learning and improvement in our future planning.
- Maintain a working knowledge of relevant regulations to ensure that all events are compliant: this will include legislation on Data Protection (eg UKGDPR); Health and Safety; and Equalities
About you
You will have:
- Demonstrable experience in planning and delivering a range of successful events, including both digital and in-person events.
- Strong project management and organisational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work effectively with people from a diverse range of personal and professional backgrounds.
- Understanding of relevant legislation related to events planning and delivery, including data protection, health and safety, and equalities / accessibility.
- Excellent attention to detail
- High levels of general IT literacy, especially in the Microsoft Office suite (including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint and Teams)
- Confident in using online meeting software – eg Zoom or Teams – to host events
- Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to provide information in a format that is clear and understandable to people from a range of backgrounds
- Able to work independently, following managerial direction with limited supervision in order to deliver against agreed personal and organisational objectives and deadlines
- Numerate and confident in handling financial information related to events
- Empathy with Picker and its aims
- Willingness and availability to work flexibly and to travel within the UK required, including outside of normal office hours and at weekends on occasions.
