Temporary Individual Giving Officer – £16.48 per hour – London

Our charity-sector client is seeking a Temporary Individual Giving Officer to join their Fundraising, Engagement & Communications team for approximately 2 months.

This is a great opportunity for someone with individual giving experience to step in and provide vital support across appeals, stewardship, and donor communications. You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality supporter care while helping to ensure campaigns run smoothly.

The role

• Support the delivery and analysis of direct mail and other appeals

• Help coordinate donor stewardship, including regular givers and mid-value supporters

• Maintain accurate supporter data in Salesforce, ensuring GDPR compliance

• Respond to supporter enquiries by post, phone and email

• Assist with trading programmes and merchandise fulfilment

• Provide administrative and reporting support to the fundraising team

• Contribute to events and community fundraising activities as required

We’re looking for someone with:

• Experience working in individual giving or supporter care in the charity sector

• Understanding of Gift Aid, GDPR and data protection (or willingness to learn)

• Strong organisational and project support skills

• Experience using a CRM system (Salesforce desirable)

• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

• The ability to juggle multiple tasks and work well under pressure

Hertfordshire Mind Network deliver essential mental health support in Hertfordshire, providing a diverse range of services from our seven Wellbeing Centres and other venues across all ten districts of the county. Funded locally, our services are available to all residents in Hertfordshire over the age of 18 and we offer dedicated services for 5–18-year-olds.

At Worldwide Veterinary Service (WVS) we champion animal welfare around the world. We send vets where they are needed most, provide expert veterinary training in hard-to-reach places, and ship urgent aid supplies worldwide, every day of the year.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

 Policy and Governance

• Assist with organisation of trustee meetings.

About the role

We are looking for two experienced Community Engagement Officers to support NatureCityNorwich – a three-year multi-partner project supported through Nature Towns and Cities, a programme funded by National Lottery players to help urban areas protect and enhance their natural heritage.

The project will co-create a community-led urban nature recovery action plan, placing nature and people at the heart of Norwich’s future. It will map and address the city’s ‘nature gaps’, improve access to green and blue spaces, and empower communities to shape a more resilient, biodiverse and inclusive city.

The role will see the successful applicants carrying out an extensive listening and engagement programme across Norwich to support an ambitious community-led nature recovery action plan for the city. You’ll work closely with partners including Norwich City Council, Norfolk County Council, South Norfolk and Broadland District Council and other key stakeholders to create a lasting legacy for nature in the city.

Role Purpose

The Policy and Impact Team sits at the heart of Volunteering Matters.  You will help bring our five-year strategy to life by linking project outcomes to broader societal developments and showcasing the impact of volunteers and communities.

Key Duties Responsibilities

· Support the Head of Policy and Impact to coordinate Volunteering Matters’ policy and public affairs work.

· Support people involved with our volunteering projects to engage with local politicians, e.g. by organising visits to projects or meetings with volunteers. 

· Monitor and respond to opportunities (e.g. relevant government consultations, All-Party Parliamentary Group inquiries or Select Committee inquiries) that are relevant to Volunteering Matters’ priorities.

· Support mapping and research exercises to inform our policy positioning. Writing summary reports as needed.

· Collaborate with the National Volunteer Engagement Manager to support the inclusion of volunteer and community voices in our policy and public affairs work.

· Assist with collecting impact and activity data from across the charity and work with the Data Analyst to undertake analysis.

· Support with routine collection of quarterly data from projects - ensuring responses are timely and accurate, providing guidance to project managers as needed.

· Work with project staff to help create impactful and engaging reports.

· Represent Volunteering Matters at charity and volunteering policy-related groups. 

 Essential Skills

· Understanding of UK political systems and policy-making processes across national, devolved, and local levels.

· Understanding of policy, public affairs, or influencing, ideally within the voluntary or community sector.

The Role

The current CEO, Denise Stygal-Watson, has done a fantastic job since joining the charity over four years ago and will be handing over an organisation at an exciting time in its development. Programme Delivery Officer role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic candidate to join our Programmes Team as a Programme Delivery Officer. PDOs are responsible for supporting and coordinating the delivery of First Give in up to 50 schools, ensuring smooth running of the programme, providing guidance and troubleshooting for the Lead Teachers.

The role is home-based, in Yorkshire, with regular travel to schools across the county and occasional forays to schools in the North-West. Several times a year travel will be required to London, where our office is based.

Key responsibilities

• Provide logistic and programme support to teachers delivering the First Give programme at their school, including but not limited to:

• Ensure all programmes are delivering all core elements of the First Give programme

Support JRSST-CT and the UK Democracy Fund to achieve their aims of tackling political inequality and expanding democratic participation through developing and managing a portfolio of grants, and communication of our work to key stakeholders.
