Supporter Experience Officer

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-focused Supporter Experience Officer to help deliver an exceptional experience for our donors and event supporters. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our supporter data is accurate and meaningful, enabling us to communicate in a personal, timely, and inspiring way. 

Working closely with the wider fundraising team, you’ll help develop creative and engaging supporter journeys, automate processes, and develop lasting relationships with the people who make our work possible.

What you’ll do:

• Manage supporter data and segmentation for mailings, e-newsletters, and campaigns
• Deliver timely, personalised thank-you messages and donor communications
• Support donor retention by monitoring giving patterns and engaging lapsed supporters
• Develop supporter journeys and automated touchpoints across email and CRM
• Help ensure every donor feels valued and connected to Treloar’s mission
• Contribute to events and fundraising campaigns, occasionally outside office hours 

Salary:

£27,532 per annum (Term-time only contract — pro rata for part-time, based on 42 hours)

£27,507 per annum (Full-year contract — pro rata for part-time, based on 36.5 hours)

About the Role

Working alongside the Managing Director, you will play a key role in supporting the day to day running of the BDD Foundation. You will help support the smooth operation of charity projects, media campaigns, and collaborations, while supporting the delivery of the charity’s community engagement and outreach activities.

A key focus of this role will be managing and maintaining the charity’s digital presence, including social media channels, newsletters, and website updates. You will plan, create, edit, and share content that reflects the charity’s mission and values, moderate online communities in line with our Social Media Policy, and collate insights to continually improve engagement and reach. The role also includes oversight of the volunteer and fundraising inboxes, ensuring timely responses and smooth communication. In addition, you will provide support for fundraising initiatives, including preparing funding applications, exploring new funding opportunities, and working closely with the Manging Director to help drive the charity’s impact.

About this key role

We will also count on you to develop and design high-quality applications, presentations, and pitches to secure five-, six- and seven-figure funding opportunities from Trusts and Foundations, provide excellent stewardship to existing donors and to manage the development and implementation of our Individual Giving and Legacy Strategy, providing regular data analysis & reporting on our progress.  Growing our Individual Giving and Legacy income stream through single and regular giving appeals is also a key aspect of this role.

What we are looking for

• Two years’ experience working in a charity fundraising environment
•  Proven track record of winning and/or managing five-figure grants
• Experience devising, planning and implementing fundraising appeals
• A good understanding of fundraising best practice and regulations, including Fundraising Regulator guidelines, GDPR and data protection
• Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to engage external stakeholders
• Impressive communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to write compelling and informative copy that are tailored to different audiences

Royal Free Charity, the strategic partner to the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust (RFL), is seeking a creative and driven Philanthropy Manager to lead efforts to secure four and five-figure gifts and to ensure donors are stewarded with the best possible experience of the charity to encourage ongoing support.

The Royal Free Charity works to raise funds for enhanced support for patients, vital support for staff, groundbreaking research and innovation, and cutting edge medical equipment. Reporting to the Senior Philanthropy Manager and working with other colleagues in the philanthropy and campaigns team, the role will be responsible for delivering the best possible experience to some of the charity’s most committed donors through a mixture of bespoke events, personalised communications and recognition opportunities across the charity’s hospital sites. This will include leading and delivering a mid-level giving retention and recruitment strategy for donors giving between £1,000 and £50,000 and looking to identify potential opportunities for uplift in giving.

In 2024, the UK team raised £5.1m.  These funds supported 18 projects across 8 countries. With these funds we delivered 9,908 training sessions for health workers, enabled 469,287 eye screenings, 37,378 treatments and delivered 2.5m doses of antibiotics to tackle trachoma.

Our ambition is to grow our income to £10 million per year within the next five years.

Overall purpose of the role

The Trusts and Foundations Officer role will be responsible for securing five-figure funding from Trusts and Foundations and management of existing donor relationships to ensure effective stewardship. The role will also manage small Trust mailings and provide wider support to the team by maintaining funder records in Raisers Edge, developing case for support and supporting internal reporting on Trust fundraising activity.  

We’re looking for an experienced Trust Fundraiser who can drive forward our income growth from both our existing and new supporters with skills in researching Trusts, writing compelling funding proposals and reports and in particular growing the medium Trust fundraising programme.

There are four key areas of responsibility for the role:

i) Identifying and researching Trusts that have the ability to give at the five-figure level, maintaining a pipeline of planned applications.

ii) Preparing high quality, written applications and reports to funders.

iii) Reviewing and growing a small Trust mailing programme (under 10K)

iv) Provision of support to the team in Raisers Edge data management and internal reporting.

Your role

Responsibilities

The Legacy Administrator will support the smooth running of the Legacy Team, key responsibilities include:

• Processing incoming legacy post daily, scanning and uploading documents to the First-Class database. (Post is received in a variety of ways).
• Monitoring the legacy inbox, responding to calls and emails, and managing electronic filing.
• Processing all legacy income, liaising with the Database Team to ensure correct allocation and maintaining the legacy pipeline.
• Managing a personal caseload of pecuniary legacies in the UK and Ireland, liaising with executors and solicitors (training provided).
• Issuing formal receipts for income received.
• Building strong relationships with co-beneficiary charities and, with support, liaising with external professionals to minimise costs and maximise opportunities.
• Maintaining and updating the legacy database with new notifications and relevant information.
• Supporting team operations, including preparing agendas for weekly meetings and covering colleagues during annual leave.
