About the role

The Exchange is seeking an experienced, talented and driven Venue Hire Manager to maximise venue hire income for The Exchange with responsibility for all aspects of hire events.

Situated in the Thames-side town of Erith, The Exchange is dedicated to creating opportunities for people to come together and celebrate life, craft, and community. Our aspiration is to develop a craft focused venue hire programme, where every detail has been carefully thought through, leading to unique and inspirational experiences – this will be the role of the new Venue Hire Manager.

Principle Duties:

• Venue Hire Management: Lead for all hire enquiries and bookings from initial conversations through to event delivery and after-care.
• Sales and Business Development: Proactively drive venue hire sales, convert enquiries, and reach budgeted targets, working to develop opportunities with current, returning, and prospective clients. To be conversant with the wider sector, benchmarking against competitor spaces, engaged with external networks and leading on venue hire promotion and marketing opportunities.
• Administration: lead and maintain all enquiries and bookings, communication with internal colleagues to optimise event delivery before, during and after, and develop and maintain accurate monitoring and evaluation reporting.
• Customer Service: provide exceptional service to all event hirers and suppliers with a professional, efficient, and welcoming attitude.

Responsibilities:

• Proactively research and reach-out to new business hire opportunities, exploring new creative opportunities to optimise use of the building and garden, regularly benchmarking The Exchange pricing and proposition.
• Promoting the location through a variety of marketing channels such as social media.
• Responsibility for all venue hires from enquiry to bookings to on-the-day and after care. This includes supervision and scheduling of duty managers, tending to any incidents or queries, liaising with catering services and supervising their requirements and logistics, building security.
• Negotiate and agree venue hire events including final contracts, invoicing, and scheduling.
• Ensure excellent communication with all colleagues to ensure smooth event procedures and positive client outcomes, including cleaning and organising the venue and facilities pre and post event.
• Develop and maintain systems for monitoring, analysis, and evaluation of hire events in context of budget targets and for improving customer service and repeat business.
• Establish best practice procedures and protocol for wide range of clients e.g. private, corporate, charity.
• Develop excellent supplier relationships e.g. event planners, caterers, local companies – to build and promote opportunities to hire spaces and develop a beneficial ‘approved suppliers’ list.
• Operating within rigorous H&S and security frameworks, including taking responsibility for opening and locking up, final building checks.

About the role:

Reporting to the Director of Finance & Operations, the IT Project Manager will lead the scoping, researching, sourcing, design develop and implementation of several new systems relating to CRM, Case Management, Finance and HR.

The IT project manager will also support the Director of Finance & Operations in managing the relationship with the IT Support contract, providing IT support where necessary and in renewing the IASME (Information Assurance for Small and Medium Enterprises) accreditation.

About You:  You are pro-active, driven to improve processes and ways of working and have good stakeholder management skills and experience. You have the ability to work independently and use initiative. You will have good research and planning skills and are able to remain calm under pressure. You have good organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.

To be successful as the IT Project Manager you will need the below experience and skills: 

You will have previous experience in IT change management with significant experience of overseeing implementation projects, allowing you to hit the ground running. You will have an excellent understanding of computer systems, security and databases to allow you to ensure

an excellent and reliable IT service is provided to all staff on and off site. You will have strong Project, Stakeholder & Programme management skills and significant experience of delivering major business critical projects including the desired benefits and outcome to time, cost and quality, including the management and maintenance of standard project controls and documents.

You will have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience and 

A PMP, PRINCE2, Agile or other industry standard Programme or Project Management qualification. A good knowledge of Microsoft Server technologies, 365 admin level experience across Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange Online etc. is essential for the role. Your experience will include supporting network devices and concepts, printers, softphones and other business hardware and software.

About the role

Are you an experienced corporate fundraiser with an interest in working in the international development sector? Are you creative, strategic, highly organised, a confident and effective communicator and strong team player? 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager to work closely with the Head of Programme Funding to drive new donor engagement and secure sustainable, multi-year funding. If you are seeking a dynamic and engaging fundraising role which offers you the chance to play a pivotal role within a small but ambitious organisation, then this could be the job for you.

Role Description

As Volunteer Programmes Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing the successful delivery of projects in the Decorate A Child's Life (DACL) and Adventure Play Partnership (APP) volunteering programmes. Your role will include  managing the day-to-day operations for Volunteer Programmes, oversight of programme coordination,  reviewing and updating procedures on a rolling basis and keeping good records, including financial monitoring and collecting impact data for regular reporting. Age UK is recruiting for a Data Privacy Manager to join our Information Protection and Compliance team to continue our great work to develop and manage the Age UK data protection privacy programme and to work on programmes of activity as defined by the ICO.

As Data Privacy Manager, you will review, update, and monitor the policies and procedures that are in place to ensure compliance with the Data Protection Regulation 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Regulation (PECR, 2003) laws, including managing internal data protection activities, advising on data protection impact assessments (DPIAs), training staff, and conducting internal audits.
This role focuses on providing data protection advice to Age UK's various business units promoting a "privacy first" approach to design and development of products and services that involve the use of personal data and your primary aim will be to recommend and oversee measures to address any identified gaps in data protection and security.

The successful candidate will use their experience in data governance to undertake regular due diligence on the key elements of the Age UK data privacy framework, identifying and reporting any areas of practice and procedure that that require focus and remedy to ensure that there is no weakness across the charity and our commercial partners.

This role is offered on a Hybrid / London contract and currently the team meet in our London office once a week.

Must haves:

* Experience of working in a data governance role with responsibility for personal data used in a database marketing environment for a charitable /commercial/financial services industry.
* Experience of communicating with stakeholders at all levels. A willingness to deal with problems or new tasks together with a proven track record of bringing business stakeholders onside.
* Experience in managing and responding to data protection rights requests (SARs) and complaints.
* Able to liaise effectively with both the CRM data practitioners, Marketing and Legal teams as well as operational business partners.

A Permanent Customer Relations and Sales Officer to work as part of a centralised sales team, which leads all Autism Know How sales, logistic and customer support enquiries.

Managing all aspects of the customer sales journey, this role will lead and deliver an effective, timely and professional customer journey and experience, maximising income potential and repeat business to ensure performance against team sales targets and to enable the society to continue to improve its offering for autistic people.

Our Part-Time Fundraising Officer will support the organisation's fundraising joining a high performing team of fundraisers.

Job deliverables:

• Identify and maximise opportunities to raise unrestricted and restricted funds from small trusts and other funding bodies to ask for grants up to £10,000
• Plan, prepare and write compelling applications for funding
• Build relationships with trusts, foundations and other funding bodies that help Bipolar UK secure long-term funding and support
• Achieve income targets that support Bipolar UK’s strategic service delivery goals
• Keep accurate records on Salesforce CRM
• With the Trusts Manager, develop our ‘thank you’ processes and donor stewardship programmes
• Create reports and updates for donors that bring to life the impact of their support
• Meet regular deadlines and manage your own workload
• Develop excellent working relationships across Bipolar UK
• Develop and maintain your knowledge of the charity sector and fundraising environment, to keep up to date with changes
• Be administratively self-supporting
• Understand and empathise with the beneficiaries and portray them (and the work of Bipolar UK) with sensitivity and accuracy
• Undertake any other duties that are relevant to the job as requested by the Trusts Manager and the CEO

CVAA UK is a membership organisation supporting not-for-profit organisations across the UK who specialise in adoption services. Over 3000 children in the UK need adoption each year because they cannot remain at home or with family members. The CVAA Practice Programme delivers 30 or more online courses each year to those working in the sector, primarily social workers. The programme has developed a strong reputation for attracting a range of subject experts to deliver cost effective, engaging and useful training. Due to a restructure of the team, we are now looking for a Training Manager who can oversee the delivery of the programme from mid to late July 2024. Initially fixed term, it is anticipated that this post will become permanent.

The Training Manager will work with the Head of Practice Development and the Programme Administrator to ensure that the courses are full, delivered effectively and evaluated. Part of the role will also be to source new trainers and support the creation of the programme into 2025.

The CVAA team work remotely across the UK so location of the postholder is not a barrier to recruitment as long as long as they can travel occasionally and come into London for team days. The team is small, diverse and dynamic. Experience of project management or delivery of training or events is more important than knowledge of adoption or children's social care. We would warmly welcome an application from people who have lived experience of adoption or fostering, and candidates from the Global Majority.

The Role
Our Practitioner Led Assessment Service is the entry point for our beneficiaries seeking support from the Charity. Our Assessment Practitioners work in partnership with our beneficiaries to identify goals, individual needs and appropriate solutions.

The team provide advice, information and support and work collaboratively with the multi-professional team to ensure our beneficiaries are offered the right support at the right time.

Reporting into the Beneficiary Experience and Continuity Lead you will be responsible for day-to-day management of the practitioner led assessment service, holding a small case load and reviewing and resolving complex cases with the team. 

You will work collaboratively with key stakeholders across health improvement and rehabilitation services, to ensure services are integrated, person centred, outcome focused and based on an ethos of recovery.

About You

• Deliver a comprehensive philanthropy giving plan, with targets and performance metrics
• Review and optimise current prospects pipeline to grow long-term, sustainable income (both restricted and unrestricted) generating £15,000 from Trusts and Foundations
• Excellent cultivation and stewardship with existing and new trusts and foundations to maximise income potential and build strong relationships
• Be responsible for ensuring effective and timely reporting of progress made to grant funders

Write and submit compelling bid proposals to secure funding from major trusts, working closely with colleagues to ensure content is accurate and up to date

• Work with colleagues to produce consistently outstanding, high quality, imaginative and compelling proposals, to present to both large and small trusts and foundations
• Plan and deliver a schedule of high-quality submissions that delivers on time and on targets
• Oversee the implementation of the terms and conditions of successful grants, monitoring, reporting and evaluation of projects performance against the agreed activity plan and liaise with colleagues as necessary

Record and maintain accurate records of donor communication and income through our CRM, producing reports and insights where appropriate

• Maintain efficiency in donation fulfilment, documentation of grants, acknowledgement and manage all correspondence (email, mail) through the Donorfy donor management system

This new role will support the Director of Development in shaping and implementing the next phase of DFN Project SEARCH’s fundraising strategy and will lead on the development of major new corporate partnerships. They will also lead on the development and management of a small number of existing corporate relationships and sponsorship opportunities.

To support the development of this new element of our strategy we have been working with a leading corporate partnerships consultancy. They have been helping to develop our proposition for companies, developing our strategies for approaching individual company prospects, and will be available to support you in your role when you start in post.
